a few questions, why not use a bit of the new oil to coat the top of the new filter? Why the old oil? If we can just do hand tight for puting on the filter, why do we need to take it off with a wrench? would hands not work? Also, where could we get those nylon washers? And is there different sizes to worry about? ( I have the same bike as you, year as wel)

I think you only need to take lower fairings off close to manifolds from other videos I watched. Also the long bolt can be accessed easily removing the shifter lever and a long extension

I know I can’t stand when they paint the plastic silly but I will be checking into that. I got a 78 Suzuki DS 80 that they spray-painted white original color is orange.

During changing oil of ninja 650, did you reset anything at the panel board or dashboard?

Guy before me sprayed a textured black paint on the plastics...almost like a very lightly textured rhino guard paint. Collects dirt like nothing else, can't possibly keep it clean. I'm going to be purchasing new black plastics all the way around but the gas tank is an issue. Paint is already wearing off where my knees rub on it, but I was trying to sort out how to remove the paint from the rest of the tank. I might try this method and see if it works. I really eventually would like to replace the tank with black plastic tank but it isn't cheap, especially hard to justify for just an aesthetic.

How much oil did you use? I used like 1.95 quarts lol…. Almost 2 with a little splash left at the bottom of the second quart… Is that about what you used as well???

how did you get the bike on that bike stand? Did you need to install anything on the rear ?

Help… just bought a 2020 and doing this now, when you unplugged the wires, mine has 3 plugs blue, black, and a smaller black on very top which I cannot unplug! Idkwtf

If you haven’t already I’d say to have your ECU flashed MooreMafia will get you right. Delete 02 sensor, Install graves Block off plate and enjoy!

Nice bike! Got myself into the same bike year 2022 650 krt edition. Love the scheme on these models as well. Great bike overall. Waiting on two brothers exhaust to ship out.

On the plastic clips you popped out on the front of the fairings, do you just stick the flathead under the outside and pry out? Or do you have to press the center of it like a button and then pry out?
