1st Armored Division 6th Infantry 1983-85 Lived off base in Bad Windsheim. That place was a blast!
Don't forget you got beers waiting for you (no ex will join us! 😂).
Thanks for this visit to my first duty station, 1977-79. I was an avionics technician in 173rd Aviation Company (Hueys). Later in 205th Transportation Bn. I believe you stuck your head into the basement of my old barracks, Bldg 1324 at 7:10 into the video. Lots of time spent in that basement hallway cleaning weapons after the range. Our barrack was directly across from the PX, Snackbar. Yes, all those buildings gone now. The tall skinny building with the framework on top was the rotating beacon for the airfield. I would ride my bicycle to Pioneer Kaserne to take college courses. Yes, many posts in the Hanau area! Thanks again!❤

Thanks for the memories. But how different it is. Wow. Was there 78-80. Small Air Force unit providing weather support. Lived off-base about a mile in Erlensee.
Awesome video, I was stationed there in 77-78 Believe it or not good memories.
I was there 2001 to 2006. Miss that place and so sad to see it so empty.
What unit were you in?
Hi, great video 👍 what do you think are the scenarios for Ukraine war when Tramp wins and when Harris wins?
Look thru my videos. One of my most recent videos is on what a Trump presidency could mean for Ukraine. I think Harris would be more of the same thing as now.

Interesting video. I am an “end of the world” person, but I can tell you, I am 71, and the world always goes on. This time does SEEM to be a lot more dangerous than other times, but if history repeats itself, the world will go on, and there won’t he a global war. The polls are looking favorable for Trump, but there is so much corruption with these elections, no one (of the hoi polloi) can say who will win. You’re right, of course, about some countries understanding nothing but force. Idealists think the world is what they want it to be. Thank you.
As the US no longer has diplomatic relations with North Korea or russia, It's a fool's errand to think neither can be negotiated with; especially when neither no longer adheres to international law. As our enemies seem to be evermore emboldened, these are definitely scary times.
@@midwesttraveler2485 I think you meant "either can be negotiated"...
@safelton ah yes, that's what I meant. Thanks
Pretty cool to see the base again. Stationed 90-91.

Beeping is important. Keep letting them know!
It's good to see this continuing support. 🇺🇦
By the glass bridge. Great place to watch the sunset!
There's not like this around me. I miss it terribly.

If you're coming to the "Midwest" I'll happily buy you a beer since I missed you when I was in Ukraine.
@rffromusa8319 where are you located in the states?
@rffromusa8319 say hi to my ex wife 😂🤣
@midwesttraveler2485 you told me that before! LMAO I don't know her. 😂
Thanks for facts! I agree with you on this .
I met Stephen Dale Green several times before deployment in Fort Campbell. Google his name to find out what that moron did. Proximity doesn’t equal correlation, dude. I’m pretty sure you’re in the clear.
@pauly260 yeah, I've already spoken to FBI. Now I'm going to have to google this guy.
fleigerhorst ? right ?
@@597158madroofer this is definitely not Fliegerhorst!
(I accidentally deleted my last comment) Hope you recover quickly and have safe travels back home. IMO KFC has much to be desired in the states and hope you won’t miss the good food too much. Be blessed ☺️
@@RisingAbove-d6j thank you. I intend to do some filming while I'm back. First stop........ Branson, Missouri.
Branson MO is a great place to film. Much to see and do and may be similar to the Christmas markets and festivals in other countries. You’re blessed to be able to travel so often as many don’t have that opportunity. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us.
@RisingAbove-d6j i used to live there years ago when I went to College of the Ozarks. My family and I still own a timeshare at Big Cedar Lodge and have for over 25 years.
@RisingAbove-d6j i think we're going to be there for the opening weekend of the Christmas celebration at Silver Dollar City.
I've eaten at the KFC. Oddly it is legs, wings, and tenders only. Disappointing as I'm a thigh man. I'm not sure why this is. I would think the cheapest parts but the wings throws that theory. Perhaps wings aren't big in the rest of Europe like here in the States. McDonald's is decent, far better than here. In my defense, I just like to see what's different in the menu and flavor. I ate mostly Ukrainian food, when in Rome do as the Roman's. LOL, and way more sushi than I would have liked. For those who have never been, sushi is huge in the cities there. Hope you recover fast!
@purdunetae2995 the great thing that McDonald's has in Europe, but not in the States, is the Big Tasty burger. I've had them in Germany, Ukraine, Poland, and England.

@RisingAbove-d6j it's funny you say that because her name is actually Lucky. 😬
@@RisingAbove-d6j I have thought about taking her back to my parents' farm in the US
Statiined there 1981 to 1984 with 1st Armor Div. Was in barracks with shops across from the, "Child development center?" Then it was the NCO club. 😢
You’re so brave! Stay safe and healthy.
City of my ancestors. Was cool to see this, but what really struck me was how few people there were, especially men. I don’t think I saw a single man in this video. I suppose everyone is enlisted, required to fight in the war 😔 I wonder how many people from Ternipol have died in the war. Next time you’re there, check out the Lemko museum. Lemko are an ethnic sub-group of Ukrainians.
Also, the place of ancestors, from what I have been able to gather, my great great grandparents came from Ternopil Oblast and Borschiv. I wish I knew more. It seems they left when the opportunity opened up to start a new in Canada, as farmers.
God Bless and protect all of you.

Anyone stationed at Fliegerhorst Kaserne and been diagnosed with cancer? I was stationed there and have been diagnosed with CLL and Lymphoma. I have found a US government study from 2009 stating cancer causing stuff all over the kaserne. I also have a report from a company that bought the property from the German Government. This report shows the mostly the same. It was made for a contingence to the government prior to the purchase of the property because of all the contamination on the base. I am more then happy to share with anyone interested. I am hopping I can find more information for a disability claim with the VA.

Amazing video as always
Thanks for doing this, I miss Germany so much and would love to revisit. We were at Fliegerhorst from 1985 to 1989 with 4th Aviation Brigade. Col. Guinn, Captain Wojas and for some reason I can’t remember the CMS’s name for any! Getting old sucks!
Nice, Col Guinn had been my Company Commander as a Major on Fiegerhorst, 173rd Avn Co. in 1979. He sent me to flight school. Got to see him again on Fliegerhorst in the late 80’s when I flew in to use the UH-60 simulator as an instructor pilot. I saw his name posted outside so I just walked into his office and introduced myself. Fun times!
@@kentharrington5395 I sure miss those times. I am still in touch with a few people who were there with me. Funny things was, it was like a group of us went from Hood to Hanau, then to Bragg!!
Wait, I've had most of those. Does that make me an alcoholic too? 😅😅😅
Yes..... yes it does. Welcome to the club!
At least they took him alive to question. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a russian link (unwittingly influenced "of course" like those poor influences being paid by the Kremlin 🤔🙄).
I definitely don't think he was acting on his own. There's no way possible, he wasn't smart enough to pull all that off.
@midwesttraveler2485 only time will tell I suppose. But I think chances are high.
