FI light on and they replaced the belt (besides everything else they did)!? What are they smoking in that dealership? BTW, you made the entire video without telling us what ended up being actually wrong with the bike. It's impossible that it needed all the work they did on it.

What what a pain it was to try to hear what you were saying over the noise of the video ride & never did watch till the end.

typical dealer - throw thousands of dollars before figuring out what the real problem is. There is no possible way that all the parts you describe as being replaced were at fault, not to mention how many labor hours. Probably a loose wire or connector. The dealers are not motivate to spend less time and less money on parts to fix a problem, especially when they have deep-pockets, gullible customers. Complete troubleshooting every part of the machine is well-documented in the service manual (nothing need be taken apart except tupperware. The problem is the technicians don't know how to run a VOM much less an oscilloscope or follow a troubleshooting flowchart. Too bad you got taken so badly but at least you are enjoying your machine.

bonjour, pouvez vous m'aider car j'ai le même problème que vous burman 2008 quand je roule et une fois f1 qui apparait le scooter veut plus avancé donc ne passe pas la vitesse supérieur . pour info la boite de vitesse à été changé mais j'ai toujours ce message f1. pouvez me dire la cause pour changer la ou les pièces défectueuse.

Sadly complicated bikes come with serious trouble shooting problems. I own a 05 650 and am going on my own Suzuki merry go round, because the F1 light is on and limp mode was activated, so let's see what I have to do to fix it.

With FI indicator ON, a garage through the computer could not see anything, sometimes the bike runs fine sometimes lose power, so many people with the same issue with different solutions

Unfortnately cvt problem is common in this model, because primary transmision depends on a little screw that make this part static but this screw is being damaged during kilometers. If this screw breaks, cvt inmediately breaks... To avoid it you should change this screw every oil replacement

My wife has expressed an interest in getting a Spyder. There is one identical to this for sale locally for $11,000 USD. It has 12.000 miles on the clock and appears to be in nice condition. It has had some recent repairs done with many new components installed. ( pads, rotors, clutch, clutch lines, clutch pistons, new parking brake, oil change, new tires, and new vacuums) , not sure what that means. I don't whether to be afraid of all those repairs or be glad they have been done. My wife is 5 feet tall, do you think the seating position would be a good fit for her? I have no idea how the handle bars/ seat/ foot peg relationship is configured. What do you think of the price on it? Great video, very informative.

Excellent video, love to be riding still but those days are gone. Just travelled this route on No. 3 double decker bus sitting at front of top deck, loads of fun, buses don't do reverse do they.

Enjoyed the walk around of your Can-Am Spyder. We used to have a 2014 Harley Davidson Tri-Glide Ultra Classic , But it was time for a change, so we purchased a pre-owned 2014 RT Limited SE6 edition, with low kilometres. good job,do you have a way to know the best years for a byer to get a trouble free SPYDER i know they changed Motor size 2013 to 2014 years from 998 to 1298 ......another way 1000...to 1330..that i know,,,,i will give you an example ...if you ask me about HONDA CRV,,,i can tell you stay away from few years like 2015...2017 and so on....i am not a mechanic but i been lessening to that ...so that 2016 its a good CAR ...lol. Nice review, I used to see a small group of these parked up at paignton bike nights, good alternative to a Gold Wing if weight is a problem.
