To be fair, the fact we got OG Sonic on the Gameboy Advance is more impressive than anyone. I'm not saying it's good, but still.

I wouldn't classify Unleashed as gold, nor would I say Forces is "painful agonizing failure", they're both just kind of meh. Honestly I'd probably replace Unleashed with one of the Sonic Advance or Sonic Rush games, and replace Forces with Shadow the Hedgehog or Sonic and the Secret Rings or Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood.

Sonic mania...rlly? Not hard-classic games that will u not complete them in first day, that have more hard bosses with unique (in the moment) gameplay and the game (sonic mania), that just copypasted other 4 classic games in one with much easier bosses and not hard levels...and sonic mania is "gold"? Ph...bullshit

Wait, where’s Sonic Frontiers? Shouldn’t it be classified as gold? Sure, it ain’t perfect, but nothing is perfect, and it did its job well in helping to get Sonic back on track.

The Sonic fanbase is basically an abused spouse sticking with the series out of stockholm syndrome at this point. That and the soundtracks (No seriously, the one thing you can always say about even the worst sonic stuff is the soundtracks are ALWAYS bangers)

Sonic 06 gameplay was bad but I liked the story and main theme

Forces was good IMO, better than Unleashed

The meme should have been the man having the Sonic Colors logo, the “GOLD” being the Wii and DS, and the “Painful Agonizing Failure” being the consoles Sonic Colors Ultimate released on.

I don't know about Sonic Unleashed being gold, but it wasn't really a failure either. It was a good game overall, despite its flaws, particularly with the more advanced "Werehog by Night" stages. Don't know about the GBA of the classic, very first Sonic game for the SEGA Genesis being a failure, though apparently it's because if you get the Invincible Power-Up, the game becomes slow. As for Sonic Forces, that game was alright, but most of the stages were really short.

Don't understand the hate for sonic 06. Easily my favorite. Had a fire soundtrack. Silver the mf hedgehog. Also was pretty fun. My first 360 game

It's so interesting that Sonic Unleashed is now viewed as a great sonic game since it was seen as very devicive when it came out.
