My dog is picky and butthead. She wants treats and refuses to eat regular foods. I have found a way to force my dog eat regular food. When she wants to go outside I would take her and she expects her treats. When she is done, I take her back inside. I place her unfinished meal instead of treats. She would test me again and again hoping to get treats and still refusing her unfinished meal. I would take her outside as many times as she wants and I would still place her unfinished meal till she has to eat it yes till she has to be so hungry. Trust me it’s worked. Till she ate it all and I would give her some treats. You need to be strict be strong don’t let dog train you.

My pet peeve is people who feed their dogs kibble and it's usually crap. We need to make good food for them with steak, stews, chicken, beef ect, organ meats, veggies ect....we need to treat them with care and love and do for them what we do for ourselves. No wonder he doesn't want to eat dry kibble, it's horrible people have their poor pets eating just that day in and day out! Things need to change in how we treat our family member dogs! Not saying you do this, I can tell you love your baby and treat him well but unfortunately most feed their dogs terribly.

Don’t, they know it’s not real food. Give them real food and there will be no struggle.

Maybe I sound harsh but I’m persistent and at some point they get hungry and eat. I know. It’s not comfortable but I did it before and problem solved itself in max 3 days.

Oh look at that it's the same exact thing with my dog! Both are poodle or doodle breeds.

My 10lb dog is on day 5 of hunger strike (healthy no medical issues still full of energy). No treats or anything just water. He runs to the bowl then skids to a stop and lowers head suspiciously once he sees it’s just dry kibble. Then he sits and stares at me or walks away.

My dogs are like this. I keep saying NO YOU WONT EAT ANY OTHER FOOD!! but after a moment ill give in, ill be panicking and giving them tasty food. But this time ill be consistent and firm (hopefully) 😂

What is this video summary? I don’t get it. You dog finally eat at 4th day. What’s the conclusion? It’s because you remove the food when he didn’t eat or the adding of that rabbit topping? Because if the dog finally eat after 4th day, it’s bec he’s hungry, the next day he might not eat again. That’s not the successful outcome I think. If after the 5th day he always want to eat with the same kibble & that rabbit topping, that’s we can say the solution of how to make the dog want to eat.

Your doodle girl is picky too? I have been dying trying to get her to eat her kibble but her monkey ass won’t🙁

Throw a little chicken sweet potatoes /mine loves sweet potatoes/ non sugar. Pumpkin if they like it. Rice, Turkey, beef. Also boiled hamburger. I save some when making dinner. Boiling it. Sometimes they have belly aches. Or something else is going on.

Ive come up with a couple Theories why my pup wont eat dog food. Its probably cause he wants to eat human food.

My 10 month old doodle does this too. He'll go on a hunger strike until he vomits, then he'll eat. Im scared this vomiting will not be good for him so i tend to give him what he wants, which is human food ☹️ should i be strict and leave him be until he gets used to eating his own food?

This is the 5th time I've given my German Shepherd back her food she's irritated with me 😂.

Don't bother to buy their Forever Dog Life book with recipes if you think you are going to get FREE access to more recipes and other stuff. The log in doesn't work and customer service are incompetent. You can't log in with Chrome, Safair or Firefox whether you use a pdf or a jpg. It just doesn't work. Expires on June 8. Been trying for TWO DAYS and upload won't go beyond 70% despite following all directions and trying every link I can find to register. It says it has my email but I can't log in and get submit fail when I try a password reset. Try mixing some 100% pumpkin with dry....or real cooked sweet potato....1 tablespoon.....i boil chicken tenderloins....sometimes he has just chicken or mix chicken with dry....dogs can eat brocolli....cooked carrots....i fed my 9lb toy fox terrier....more human food....no seasonings...if u read whats in some dry dog food...u wouldn't eat it....good luck

None of my dogs have ever figured out how to untangle themselves eithet! But I loved them so much anyway.

I just tell my dog “around” and he figures it out in like 2 seconds! Lol

You need to show her one time dear. We dont just know stuff and neither do our pooches. Use body language just pointing increases their understanding massively. My dog got this after one time of me pointing around the pole. Its just a different language they are actually smarter than us in many ways. Not being rude but how do you expect your dog to know something they haven’t encountered before? Just a thought.

My dog won’t eat. I try to put a little cheese on it and sometimes she will eat it. I don't want to keep doing that. Sometimes, she will eat it if Hamburg is on it. But not all the time. I would do what you do and take it away, but she pukes if she doesn't eat.

Dealing with this at this very moment with my 20 month old Australian Shepherd , going to wait her out wish me luck, she’s stubborn . 😅

I am so happy I found your video today. I totally relate and it's the issue I'm having with my Sally. Please tell me the kibble that you use and also where you get the rabbit burgers and the quail treats. I had no idea to even look for stuff like that for my Sally.

Your picky poochie is much smarter than you think! Dogs may not be able to speak our language but their body language is clearly saying what they can't, "This food tastes bland. It barely gives me enough nutrition to continue living. Please understand me! Please feed me "real" food."

Imagine if you had to dry, flavorless rice cakes your whole life with a little spam spread on it now and then. Yuck! The parent threatens her dog, "if you don't eat your food, you won't have anything to eat..." She just rambles on and on expecting her dog to respond differently, completely ignoring the dog's body language. This dog is slowly dying because the food is bland and un-nutritious. No taste. No energy. No excitement for life. Just resignation. The owner (vet?) thinks antibiotics will cure the problem. You can't expect a dog to thrive on cheap, non-nutritious kibble. Feed your dog human-grade food and accept that good food costs more but your dog will love you for it and his/her reaction will be worth it.

Some people project their own attitudes onto their dogs. If a dog doesn't eat, they could be telling you they detect something unhealthy or unappetizing about the food. Would you make a child eat food they didn't like every meal? That seems mean to me. Listen to your dog. Observe their body language. My dog is much smarter about food than I was. He was a 'keto' eater. He didn't like any carbs, but he would eat sweet potato and broccoli. I've learned to accept and respect that he is too smart for junk food.

Why doesn't the owner serve food the dog likes? Poor dog has a lifetime of eating food she obviously hates to look forward to. BTW, kibble, like cereal, never gets an 's' added at the end.

You should not feed kibbles to dogs or cats . Not good for them

I got my dog used to eating from the table, now I’m trying to get him to eat his kibble. It’s breaking my heart 💔 he probably thinks he did something wrong but it was just me 😔
