BEST Puerto Rico Travel Trips! (4 Days) | Old San Juan, El Yunque, & Bioluminescent Bay ✨
Hey friends!
We visited Puerto Rico in 2024 and spent 6 days here total (4 full days, with 2 days of travel time on each end). Puerto Rico was a pretty spontaneous trip for us, and while I'd love to go back to see more of the island, I think we managed to do quite a bit!
We primarily stayed on the northeastern side of the island, since most of the activities we wanted to do were in that area. Next time we visit, I definitely want to check out the western side as I've heard some of the best beaches are there.
I hope this video provides you with some helpful tips if you're planning your own trip to Puerto Rico. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to drop them in the comments below!

Thank you for this great vid. I just came back from a southern Utah trip at the major national parks and had a great time. This hike looks like fun and definitely worth it. Your vid was informative and beautiful! Thanks!
Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed the video! 😊 Oh that sounds like a great trip, Southern Utah is the best! I’m hoping to make it back out there soon. There’s so much to explore in Utah.
Beautiful video thanks a lot
Glad you enjoyed it! 😄
Beautiful Puerto Rico u s a the number 8 wonder of the world
Thank you for the information. I’m staying there next month.
You’re so welcome! You’ll have a great time, it’s a beautiful property 😊
This was a great Vlog. Loved the scenery and hearing your experience!🦋🌿
Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed it 😊
If there’s a next time… go to the beaches on the north in Arecibo or Barceloneta; or go to Vieques or Culebra, where you’ll find white sand beaches. Btw in the south you’ll find black sand beaches. ✌🏼
Ooh thank you for the info! 🙏🏼 I’m sure there will definitely be a next time. We originally had a trip to Culebra planned out, but our plans changed last minute. I’d love to go back and check out the beaches more 🏝️
@@KelseyStyron Be sure to check out Culebrita; and if you guys visit Vieques, check out Playa Flamenco 🫶🏼
OLD SAN JUAN 🇵🇷 a true gem💎 Nice📽✌️ The ⛽️ situation😂
Thank you! 🙏🏼 Lol, I knew there was no way gas was that cheap 😂
Nice video indeed
Thank you for watching! 😄
How are do you have to go until you see the waterfall?
So if you’re doing the Skyline Trail, it’s pretty far to get to the waterfall. However, there’s another trail you can take called the Friends Trail Loop that’s only 1 1/2 miles that will take you to the same waterfall! If you search “Friends Trail Loop” on AllTrails you should be able to find it!
Ive explored all over and above the Furnace, and in and out and a legitimate 400 hours exploring the Fiery Furnace.
Wow! That’s impressive! I would love to go back and explore even a fraction of that 😅 Is there any particular area of the Furnace that’s your favorite?
@KelseyStyron the top.. there's 2 ways up there.
@@enchiladasmith014 definitely can’t beat the view from the top 🙌🏼
You made so much progress 👏
Thank you!! 🥹
your Garmin device is not a satellite phone my dear
Satellite communicator, my bad. Thanks for the catch! It’s for 2 way text messaging.
Excellent video! Thank you for posting. I've watched a handful of videos for this hike, and yours is the best. I really like your commentary. I have alarms set for when permits become available for October 2024. After watching your video and learning more about exploring the dead ends, I'm more inclined to do a self-guided hike rather than with a ranger.
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it and that it was helpful! 😄 That is awesome, October will be a beautiful time of year for you to go. I might be biased, but I really think self-guided is the way to go if you’re already an avid hiker. It’s nice to not feel rushed and just enjoy the surroundings.
What time of the year did you all go? Sorry if you said it in the video! I couldn’t figure out when it was lol
No worries! We went in mid-August and it was a great time to go. The water is still pretty cold so August is really the best time to go for swimming.
You are brave. I do a lot of hiking in Texas but I would be too scared to hike in Colorado because of bears. I never want to see one ever. 😅 Thank you for putting out all the beautiful videos of your hikes.
Thank you for watching, I’m glad you enjoy my videos! 😄 I’m from Texas too so it did take me a few hikes to get used to it. I don’t worry about black bears, but am definitely more aware when we hike in grizzly country. Having bear spray and a bigger group will make you feel more comfortable.
@@KelseyStyron Thank you for the advice!
Also you did great for a first timer
Thank you!! The lesson definitely helped 😄
Can you send me the link to your airbb

Nice video! I enjoyed watching...thank you.
Thank you, so glad you enjoyed it!
New Mexico is breathtaking. Nice camera work. Try ski Santa Fe too
Thank you! New Mexico is so gorgeous. Ski Santa Fe is definitely on my list!

Bravo for this short, so nicely presented!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it! 😊
The Four Pass Loop is so incredible!
I felt like that when i started riding. After over 12 years I can ride forever now without being tired even at elevation. Just keep it up. It keeps you super healthy. Just stay off the jumps!
12 years - that’s awesome! 👏🏼 I love cardio but mountain biking has a way of making me feel out of shape 😅 My husband loves the jumps, but I avoid them lol.
I do all these things and they work for me . I download movies which I have already watched so I dont have to give much thought to the movie scenes going on . I prefer comedy movies .
That’s a great idea! I try to stick with comedies as well. I can also do drama or action / adventure. I definitely don’t want to watch anything stressful when I’m flying though 😅
@@KelseyStyronwatching action / adventure is stressful for me as sudden vfx sounds will come as a shock to me lol . I can’t think of travelling in flight that is more than 1.5 hrs long .
@@amitbhatt3252 I totally get that! I’ve started a movie before and then changed it because it was just too much on the plane lol. Most of my flights tend to be around 3 hours which I don’t find bad at all.
I believe that taking window seat would help me , do you believe so?
@@amitbhatt3252 it’s definitely might! I have to have the window seat when I fly, it really helps to ground yourself and get an idea of what’s going on. Is there a particular reason you can pinpoint why you think you couldn’t do a longer flight?
I’ve tried using notion (its on my macbook) but i just cant seem to the the hang of it. Maybe it’s time i take a n00b tutorial!

Great video! We are going this March. About how long did the trail take you?
It took us about 6 hours from what I can remember, but we stopped a lot for pictures and video! I think you can definitely do it in 4 hours or so. March is a great time to go! Warm days and cold nights. I highly recommend booking a place with a hot tub if you can!
start with the money and everything else will fall into place. hahaha
I don’t disagree! It’s extremely hard to live joyfully when you’re living paycheck to paycheck. I struggled for several years and it massively sucked. It’s an amazing feeling when you finally have money left at the end of every month. 😌
An update on the Calpak case✨ I packed it in my carry on last month and it was perfect! I did my liquids in one side and my powder cosmetics in another, and I had no issues with leakage or TSA. 😊
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for just getting straight to the point! You have no idea how refreshing that is. I was expecting 9 minutes of introduction and 1 minute of content! Great tips and great products
Haha long intros are the WORST! I try really hard to avoid doing that 😅 I’m glad you enjoyed the video! ☺️
Great video, Kelsey! But your channel have technical problem, Do you know it?
The cosmetic case design seems perfect🤯 And the contact lenses case idea is super interesting. Great content!!!
I loooove the cosmetics case! I had it on my list for months before finally deciding to get it 😅 I can see why they’re popular! And the contact cases are such a lifesaver with how much space they save 🙌🏼 thanks for the comment 🫶🏻
Teton means nipple in french
Great video, Kelsey! I can personally say that I have lost my airpods so many times (luckily they've always turned up). Packing cubes and tech pouches are also my favourite. Great video!
Thank you! 🙏🏼 I have thankfully not lost my AirPods (yet…), but I have dropped them plenty of times while flying and it never ceases to give me a heart attack lol.
Great video! Many people don't know about the beautiful scenery in Oklahoma - such as the Broken Bow Lake/Beaver's Bend State Park. With forested mountains and clear running streams it's different from most parts of the state. Other scenic Oklahoma areas are the Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Refuge in Southwest Oklahoma, Turner Falls in the South Central and Talimena Scenic Drive north of Broken Bow extending into Arkansas. Oklahoma scenery will surprise many people!
Absolutely! Oklahoma is gorgeous and I feel like a lot of people don’t realize it until they visit. We have spent so many summer days up at Turner Falls, it’s one of my favorite places! I’ve also explored the Wichita Mountains (but need to visit again). We went to Arkansas recently but unfortunately didn’t get a chance to do the Talimena Scenic Drive. It looks beautiful though.
Nice video We enjoyed Bentonville so much we moved to Bella Vista. So much to do here, great place to live. I do agree that it’s silly they say they are MTB capital. There are much better riding in lots of places…but they are so well linked together and you can ride bikes from trails into town so easily and safely. And they are constantly building and improving. Keep up riding 🤙🏽
Haha yes, their title of mtb capital is definitely a controversial one lol 😅. I do love how much they are building - it’s just such a fun place to ride and explore. We didn’t make it up to Bella Vista, but we’ll have check it out next time we’re up that way! Thanks for the comment 😊
So glad you had a wonderful time. So many places to ride and learn. I love Bentonville and Bella Vista. We actually rode the trails at Devils Den State Park, so cool. It takes a lot out of you to ride the trails. You should be proud of yourselves!!! Please go again there always new trails and adventures.
Thank you for the kind comment!! Yes, we have heard great things about Devils Den State Park! We will need to fit it in next time we visit NWA. And yes, it definitely is exhausting 😂 I usually do 1 day rides here in DFW, so going that hard for multiple days in a row was a lot - but it was very fun.
@@KelseyStyron if you any interest a day of training Anneke Beerten in Bentonville. She excellent and super patient. A 3 time World Cup champion she amazing. She’s got her own TH-cam channel. Best of luck and enjoy the holidays
@@douglaskaye1395 I just looked her up and I’m pretty sure we saw her coaching another rider one day while we were visiting! She is awesome. My husband has been wanting to get a coach so I think he would benefit from it. You enjoy the holidays as well! 😊

Nestled in Northwest Arkansas in the Ozarks, Bentonville has put itself on the map as a top mountain biking destination. We roadtripped here from Dallas and it was an easy drive for a mid-week getaway. While you’re here, definitely check out the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. It’s a great way to switch things up if you need a break from the trails, and It’s completely free to the public. I’m not going to lie, we had to do an epsom salt bath during our stay because our muscles were totally dead! If you have a chance to rent an e-bike, that could be a great option if you want to avoid some muscle fatigue. It’s officially hot tub season, y’all! ❄️ Broken Bow is just a 3 hour drive from Dallas and it has everything you could want for a fall or winter getaway. We stayed at the coziest little cabin called the Sol Shack. It was dog friendly which was amazing because dog friendly properties aren’t always the easiest to find! 🐶 We explored Beaver’s Bend State Park and hiked the Skyline Trail. Even if you’re not into hiking, there’s SO much to do ranging from boating, fishing, canoeing, wine tastings, distillery tours, horseback riding, and more! 🍷 📍 Sol Shack Airbnb Listing: abnb.me/5aiWfqHtvEb
ha. Just saw a stat on MTB Project. California= 5.4k mtb trails Colorado= 5k mtb trails. Arkansas=1.3k. Bentonville not MTB Capital I"d say Moab is more an MTB Capital than these fake trails.
haha Capital of the world?! I guess they've never heard of Whistler--or a thousand other places that have actual mountains.
