in the 2nd quarter that was the most brutal 3 play sequence that ive ever seen for a QB. Dallas beat Pisarcik back into the stone ages! Brutal!
Excellent footage thank you
Those Redskins uniforms tho 😍
Ernie Stautner on sidelines talking with D.D. Lewis. Only Steeler from the "bad" years to have his number retired.
Same comment!
Kinescope crap. want REAL VIDEO TAPE
What the hell is wrong with you? Are you so stupid that you don't understand that all that exists of this game is this kinescope?
If Roger could have put a little more on that last pass Pearson might have caught it in stride for the TD not making it look like a desperation attempt since it was single coverage. There have been other Hail Mary's luckier than this.
Great baseball! Yankees were just so loaded that year....and lot of years!
Pittsbrg was 1 score better than these guys.
It was pass interference. So glad Pittsburgh beat those rotten Cowboys.
Great upload! I wish football still had a running game, it's not the same anymore. Some of the greatest players in the history of football are on the field for this game.
Battling the winter elements.
My beloved Vikings of my childhood. I grew up following that fantastic team.
Same
I live next to the old track too. I till up a lot of blacktop in my garden and fruit tree area. Pretty cool
Hmm. Where do you live exactly? 😆
I'm a die-hard Vikings fan. It wasn't a penalty on Pearson. Nate Wright fell down. To this day, Vikings fans still say Pearson pushed off.
Agree with you ,and Im a huge cowboys hater .
I wonder if Benny Barnes beat out Mel Renfro?
I remember watching many games on channel 9 in ny from Crosley Field when the Mets played the Reds there.
Cool. Need a better recording. This was stored on vhs or something.
Your job at downloading deleted classic vides is awesome! Do you have the 2nd half NBC broadcast of the 1972 AFC Championship Game that used to be on TH-cam in 2015?
Is that Larry Hagman at 3:10:37?
Ed Jones is a Hall of Fame player in my book.
Giving up a 4th and 17 conversion with 44 seconds on the clock? Wow! The Vikings earned that loss.
Roger Staubach is the only athlete in history to ask god for divine intervention and got it. GO COWBOYS.
What an incredible find! In terms of regular season play this was the Yankees most successful season of the 1950's, the team had a .669 winning percentage. The Indians won 111 games that year so the Yanks weren't even close. The Yanks struggled against Boston and Washington in 54 (both with sub.500 records) going 26-18 while Cleveland demolished them going 38-6. Very much a transitional year in Yankee history, the five consecutive World Series victories snapped, and even though the team would win 9 out of the next 10 American League pennants they were no longer as dominant in World Series play going 4-5 in the fall contest.
As a lifelong Vikings fan since ‘68 this was the hardest loss to take for me. Worse than the Super Bowls. I had met Drew Pearson at a show in NJ. I gave him a hard time for 2 days. Drew finally said that he had to do what he had to do. I felt a little better knowing that he basically admitted to the interference.
I as a life long packers fan am going to put aside my hatred for the team i despise the most and agree with you. It was interference and I wouldn't want that happening to my team either.
Prevent the 4 and 17 and the decades long bemoaning of Pearson's Hail Mary catch dosent happen unless Vikings offense turn ball over back immediately to cowboys by virtue of fumble or int seals victory for vikes . I'm not a fan of either team ,much respect for both franchise ,but Pearson made a incredible play ,both gentlemen were jostling for position ,better man won epic position battle . If pearson were subtely pushed to ground at that historically climatic moment ,leading to game sealing int ,ref not calling pass interference would've been celebrated ,no Vikings fan would dislike the outcome , still not sure pearson actually pushed off ,i was pulling for vikings ,cowboys simply did what they usually did far to many times in those situations , find a way for victory .
@@HaroldMccoy-vv4lt In watching the replay if you watch Nate wright you can see he was pushed. And as I said earlier Drew basically admitted to it in saying he had to do what he had to do. The referee wasn’t in a good position to see it. The referee wasn’t in position to see the bottle that hit him in the head either.
It's too bad Pat Summerall didn't keep his exciting play calling and just quite frankly became a very matter of fact play caller. Not sure why he became so boring.
No soy boy, conmies kneeling
Even here from Brazil we love America’s Team !
COWBOYS were LUCKY SO WERE alot of other teams Steelers Franco Harris,Lenny Moore into the end zone , Oakland Raiders Kick the ball into the end zone tight end scores, Tom Dempsey 63 yd field goal,Dwight Clark San Fran "The Catch !",Bart Starrs scoring in the Ice Bowl Jerry Kramer moved before snap, Helmet Catch Giants etc so many mire examples of "LUCK!!" OR AS A COACH SAID LUCK IS WHEN OPPORTUNITY MEETS WITH PREPARATION ✔️💯🤔🤗🤑🔥💥
I miss Country Kitchen so much!
Thank you so much for putting these together! There were several I hadn't seen before, as well as a few that I originally captured. The test pattern, "GOOD MORNING" and "GOOD NIGHT" (all caps), and the frame from the national anthem film with the flag in the middle were all captured in the early 2000's with an early model Olympus digital camera pointed at the TV while playing my original VHS recordings from around 1983ish. Sadly I only have the last few seconds of that sign-off as my mom recorded the end of a John Wayne movie over the rest, but I do have the complete sign-on including 15 minutes of test pattern and music and a slide showing the Jerry Goetsch Band with a voice-over announcement that they would be on later that morning, and then leading into the beginning of Dudley DoRight. I have digitized them and can provide higher quality versions of those slides if you'd like, and a listing of the songs played during the test pattern. I'd sure love to see the full sign-off again, it used to scare me as a kid, with the announcer's deep booming voice and Sir Seven standing there as if he could see me and was scolding me for not being asleep yet. Then after the announcement they would play the anthem, and then the sign-off slide would come on again for a couple seconds (as if Sir Seven was making one last check if I was asleep yet) until it went to static.
If there's anyway you share what you have it would be greatly appreciated. The color bars and sign on/off slides i got from a website. I believe it was called across the pond. I did not know they were yours.
if you want you can send them to me via email. i'll send you my email when you respond.
@@danhendrickson7708Haha, I wrote Across the Pond all those years ago! :) Glad you noticed it and it was of use to you.
@@danhendrickson7708Sure thing!
@@danhendrickson7708 Sent now, enjoy :) Hope someone out there can still find a sign-off in its entirety.
Tarkington whining to refs.
The local business commercials from these old tapes are such an important part of historic preservation. Very hard to come by after most people tossed their old collections when DVDs came around. In many instances the commercials we see may well be the only surviving depiction of many shuttered businesses. Thank you for sharing!
4:41 ... *_DOWN GOES FRAZIER!!!_*
so this is the game where dallas cheated
I wonder if the fan who threw the bottle at Arman Terzian ever publicly confessed...
What a piece of history. Shame there is not more from this period👍🙈🙉🙊
I love watching these old games ! Thanks for posting !
first color broadcast of the championship game.
I live directly south (on the cul de sac) of the recent video you took of the now empty field. What can you tell me about the racetrack?
Marv Marzofka Tom Reffner and Dick Trickle got their starts in racing at the Stratford Speedway of Stratford, WI. William "Ace Kasten" assisted in getting racing started at Stratford. A call came in to Ace asking if he'd help in building the track in Stratford. Ace, along with a number of the association members pitched in laying out the track just South of Stratford on highway 97. Dump truck loads of dirt were brought in, grading took place and Stratford Speedway became a reality. According to Kasten, some racing did take place in late summer of 1959. Ace himself raced there and won. In 1960 a 1/3 mile dirt track in Stratford did run on Wednesday nights. 1961 found drivers competing on a 1/3 mile dirt track there for most of the season before the track was paved in late summer.
The first event on the paved surface was held on Wednesday night, August 23rd, 1961. For reasons not totally known, Stratford Speedway failed to hold events in 1967 and 1968. The track reopened in 1969 under new management. I believe the track closed after the 1970 season.
@@danhendrickson7708 very interesting. Thank you for the info!

Lot of good athletes on both sides of the ball. I was in the 5th grade and remember well.
obvious push off by Pierson.... Nate Wright cannot possibly contort his body like without impetus and the rule that allowed refs to assume a catch (both feet in bounds) when they were tackled going out of bounds no longer exists. the 4th and 17 would be incomplete today. Vikes got screwed
Everybody talked funny back then.
Examples?
How so?
They were so amateur and unpolished. Looks like a high school production. I enjoyed at the time….I was 12.
No way that 75 F150 gets 24 to the gallon. We had one and it got 14 at best.
