My next video is actually about the Shikamaru side of things with the memory swap, and I did wanna talk about Eida’s character arc and the true friends thing you mentioned at the bottom of this comment relatively soon as well (aka I don’t wanna wait another year like I did with this video lol)

Ignoring the possibility that Shinju are immune because of otsutuski shenanigans, Eida’s ability would just make them feel the emotion, whether they understand it or not. That’s exactly what happened to Mitsuki, who had never felt the emotion of romantic love before Eida, and we saw matsuri experience romantic love towards Konohamaru despite not understanding what was happening. So the same would apply with Eida’s ability (if they aren’t automatically immune to it)

@kamuidimension Excellent, we have the same conclusion but I never thought of the idea that they are actually affected in some than actually being IMMUNE but it works by your explanation.

It’s crazy to think we haven’t seen daemon and Himawari interact since that one short exchange in chapter 77 lol

I also don’t think Sarada’s mangekyou is relevant since she was already unaffected by both the charm and memory swap even BEFORE she awakened it, and same goes for sumire. And that’s why I don’t think it’s because daemon is an otsutuski because of shibai cells, because while he technically has some otsutuski dna, so does code and Koji who are affected, and Momoshiki doesn’t consider Eida an otsutuski either despite being the wielded of omnipotence. I think rather than Eida choosing who IS affected, I think it’s Eida’s subconscious choosing who ISNT affected. I think her desire for love (or the memory swap) is strong and broadly speaking, making it apply to everyone, but if she has a strong enough desire for someone to be UNAFFECTED (meaning this desire has to be stronger than her original desire for love or the memory swap in the first place), then that person becomes UNAFFECTED. In theory, if Eida had cast the memory swap before coming to the Leaf Village-let’s say during the Code arc in like chapter 57 or something-I think Sarada and sumire would’ve been affected, but later become UNAFFECTED after Eida wanted to be friends with them.

@ I agree completely cause you’re right. She wasn’t affected before her MS so that adds up. I agree her subconscious has to be doing it for her. She’s kind of a tragic person, someone who never truly known romantic love or even friendships for that matter. Like a rich person having “friends” but they’re not really her friends. Eida and the divine tree people are gonna be super interesting going forward. They all have otsutsuki dna but not enough to be classified like one such as Boruto or Kawaki. Momoshiki is definitely hiding something or knows more about the specifics that he’s not telling or we haven’t seen for some reason. Did I miss a chapter? The frame of Boruto dodging daemon attack has me confused gonna have to go back might have missed it.

@@turtle_combat I think her subconscious desires toggle things, yes, though it may require particularly STRONG subconscious desires for it to take effect (which applies for the memory swap, love charm, and in my opinion would apply to Sarada and sumire as friends as well). And a small adjustment, he didn’t say Sarada was “naturally unaffected”, but instead that she was “incidentally unaffected”, then went on to say that those who are unaffected suffer the most. The way he says “naturally” is just to say that the immune suffer the most, not to imply that Sarada is naturally immune. In any case, that would normally just apply to the otsutuski themselves, which is rather interesting for Momoshiki to say in the first place. The only reason I can see this being relevant is for otsutuski vessels being the ones to typically suffer from omnipotence, and then Sarada and sumire are added in as well in this case.

@@bigwolfpodcast7552 idk if I’d say they “betrayed the androids”, since nobody has betrayed Eida or daemon YET at least (though Shikamaru did prepare for it lol). Could be the cause of their downfall though-the fear of those who are strong leading to their own demise does work narratively. Only those who accepted the Shinju/cyborgs may be the ones to stay alive. Definitely a good thought at the very least

So why would we assume that everything they say is correct when they were previously established to not know the full story? (Or in Amado’s case, he could just be pretending of course)

That’s an interesting idea at the end, but I think it’s perfectly reasonable for Eida to just subconsciously want them to be unaffected by both omnipotence’s (love charm and memory swap) because she wants true friends. The programming code error idea is interesting though

​@kamuidimension It's perfectly reasonable, however the main issue with that is that we know Eida can't control omnipotence to begin with. There'd be no way for her, even unconsciously to make people unaffected if she can't control the initial ability.

@@ExMonarch well, she can’t control it CONSCIOUSLY. Instead, it’s only acted on subconscious desires of hers (ones she felt very strongly about), and I think her desire for true friends is strong enough to be another example personally

She does know that now, since Boruto told her in chapter 80, and she tells Sarada and sumire this in chapter 1 of two blue vortex

@@zman8757 Amado has those memories in a computer, but he never re implanted them into delta again (presumably anyway), so her memories would still be affected, unless Amado re implanted memories into delta again to restore them back to the way they originally were. Now that would be a really cool for Amado to do and now I love the idea and hope they actually do it lmao. It also would be an interesting way for him to have figured out omnipotence (if he isn’t immune), but he used Kawaki’s reconstructed karma as his explanation instead so not sure if they’ll do this or not. Either way I love the idea

Omnipotence changes the data in real brains. So it's likely that this also effects digital memory

@kamuidimension Well, aside from the awesome coverage, would also want your take on the specific aspect of the Omnipotence not affecting Sumire and Sarada, which seems a seperate Aspect as it concerns the details of Kawaki and Boruto not being reversed for them. That naturally happens as a seperate interest from Aida's love charm, which would directly coincide her individual desires, as you slated.

Similar to Daemon, I think it’s generally that Eida “strongly desires for Sarada and sumire to be unaffected by her powers in general”, so that she could have true friends who are on the same page as her and they can genuinely tell each other the truth about things like true friends. Obviously she wouldn’t say this outwardly in words, but that’s generally how I’d describe the subconscious desire. I agree, it’s MORE relevant to the love charm, but I think it works for the memory swap without it being TOO weird. I’ll also add as it relates to probably my next video, it could ALSO be a separate desire that just so happened to once again apply to Sarada and sumire, where Eida’s reservations about the memory swap caused some people to be unaffected, or be able to eventually figure it out (like Shikamaru). Granted, Sarada and sumire were unaffected right from the get go here, so I would lean towards the theory from this video about true friends. The other video topic doesn’t really pertain to Sarada and sumire but something else instead. I’m not sure if this fully cleared my thoughts up, but let me know!

@kamuidimension Absolutely! It's very obvious that Eida is the reason. One thing I don't remember you mentioning in the video is that Boruto has always been well-liked by the girls in his generation. It's been noted that both Sarada and Sumire get jealous when they notice other girls liking him, and they weren't referring to each other. His popularity grew even more after the Isshiki fight, when he was portrayed as a hero of the Leaf, making TV appearances and giving interviews. So, there should be a lot of girls who are unaffected by Eida's abilities, but it's still just Sarada and Sumire.

@@SAGA_131 another good point pertaining to the “they love boruto idea”. I didn’t really think about that tbh since I think Cho Cho is already enough to say “it’s too cherry picky”, but all the more reason to specify Sarada and sumire as unique from the rest! (Despite using the terminology “like” for their feelings about boruto, instead of “pure love”)

My problem with Sarada having otsutuski dna is that Sasuke is still affected, when he himself IS that Indra reincarnate. So I think Sasuke should be unaffected in that case personally

Well, as I explained in the video, I don’t think the blood relative thing ACTUALLY matters, or else Momoshiki would’ve mentioned this as another exception alongside Otsutsuki, rather than only Otsutsuki and the caster being immune

@kamuidimension That's pretty irrelevant cos if Momoshiki is the be all and end of Eidas jutsus, why didnt he mention Sarada and Sumire would be also immune. Eidas abilities don't work on relatives and Otsusuki as Eida said herself

I’ve actually discussed the taijutsu thing in major depth in an old video on daemons weakness. It’s pretty easy to find since it’s by far my most viewed video lol. Hopefully we get more sage mode stuff through Mitsuki though, since that’s his big power up. That said, it’s a little bit of a misconception to say “sage mode is otsutsuki’s weakness”. It’s just the ten tails jinchurriki’s weakness. Otsutuski are perfectly susceptible to regular ass ninjutsu (like Boruto’s vanishing rasengan, the 5 Kage sealing jutsu on Kinshiki, Kashin Koji fire on Jigen, etc) unlike the ten tails jinchurriki who can completely negate it with truth seeker orbs and their body regeneration. Whether the ten tails ARE former otsutuski or not, humans who absorbed Kaguya’s ten tails simply had different powers than other otsutuski or the Shinju

Sure, but that’s assuming the Shinju DO that. It’s not like Hidari asked Jura for help when Boruto showed up! And second, Boruto can just teleport away as soon as they go tell Jura. The only reason Boruto would show up is because it looks like his friends are gonna die, so worst case scenario, Boruto would try and then fail. And third, does Jura even CARE that much lol? At the end of the day, he’s out here reading books instead of going after Himawari or looking for Boruto himself. Frankly, he wants CODE to find Boruto and the accomplice to give Code something to do, so WOULD he even kill Boruto? Or would he go find Code so Code can try it again 😂?

They have so much humor potential with Konohamaru and matsuri lol, I don’t want them to rush to the fighting too soon. And exactly, she’s just JUST being “ughhhhh I like boruto you meany head”, she does have a point about considering Boruto’s feelings from all angles, not just from Sarada’s perspective of what she wants to do. And it’s tough to say with Ryu, he could be completely honest, he might be acting a little bit, either way, I think his guard will be up and he won’t just be caught slacking and killed lol. And the chimera ant thing is really cool imo and I hope it’s not just a random coincidence that falls short, but instead finishes with similar themes all the way through, but we’ll have to see lol. Exactly. Tbh, I think Matsuri is the one that won’t exactly need to be forced or conned into merging back into Moegi. The best way for Konohamaru to go about this is convincing her that being whole with moegi is her true form, and her and konohamaru will always be together that way. Think of Roxas finally merging with Sora. And the famous line “I guess my summer vacation…is over” 🥺

Hell this might be the way for Konohamaru to strengthen his talk no jutsu like Naruto 🤣
