nice guide! I really like Cap's playstyle but I have a hard time climbing past gold because a lot of teams still expect Cap to brawl more than dive the backline. Probably on me a lot of the time :D

How do you go on the enemy team while in the practice range with friends? I know how to do the friendly fire option but not how to swap teams fully in case we wanna myth bust invis stuff from enemy perspective/ just 1v1s

I remap mouse4 to melee for all characters, and I found using this gives the sprint shield cancel bug, while using mouse1 does not.

Captian main here. From my experience and reviewing replays, Living legend registers via the shooter's client. So even if you block something on your screen, if the shooter hits you from behind on their screen, the shield will not protect you.

Do you wait for the other tank to engage or do you start the fights? Because sometimes i get CC or focus by the enemy if i start.

that dam walking back bug, no wonder ive died when i know i have enough shield wtf, toggle to sprint and having it always on is so much easier than getting carpel tunnel holding down the shift

What I’ve learned while playing cap is how much you learn how hesitant your team is to push an objective, especially when I have three people chasing me at once

Couple things. With the Thor team up I believe you get a "electrified shield" that when using thorforce you get a small electric damage and knock back when sprinting into enemies with shield up. I also use an animation cancel where you just hold sprint and click to punch. Sprinting slightly between each punch

In general you should only pick captain if you like getting pulped. Not all characters can be good and captain doesn't need to be.

Im having trouble running around the enemy while animation canceling, I can do it in a straight line but whenever I used A or D on the keyboard it messes up the animation cancel

If you have hold to sprint, you can hold sprint and hold down left click until it registers and let go instead of trying to tap the sprint and left click. Idk if it makes a big difference but it's really helpful to simplify it for me.

Dope guide, anything specific to consider when solo tanking with Cap?

I think the guide was good on a basic level but disappointing on a player level. I think a lot of us want to know more what goes on in your head when you’re playing. There’s a lot of things you do game to game and strategies that I’m sure you either left out or gate kept to an extent.

They should hide player names during bans. Target-banning characters by looking at people's stats is dumb.

For cancel animation what works for me when i play with toggle sprint is to hold down the left click until the shield hits (you can rely on the sound) and immediately release it and press it again, so I can cancel the animation both up close and far (all this while you are running with the w)

50 hours on Cap and I never noticed the team up movement speed buff was permanant and not tied to hitting C. Goes to show how little it gets used sadly :(

cap is super fun to play the only thing is they gotta fix some of the bugs and interactions with his shield and maybe give him abit lower cooldowns or being able to actually aim your dash to go up aswell no just forward

Well did not know that Cap's ult could give allies shield I thought it would give heals so long as they stay in the Flag trail. Still really helpful on the animation cancel still can't get right especially on moving targets and I prefer using hold to dash so might try toggle dash instead.

Bro I've literally been using Captain America this way since launch. I always tell my buddies like once everybody really understands how to use him, he will be top 3 vanguard for sure. Being able to be so mobile and able to get out of danger quick is big and his movement is comparable to what a lot of people like in other competitive games with the constant fast and quick movement.

In game, do you have any advice on when I should be using my shield to run in? I'm a bit confused if I should just run straight at them with my shield out, but if I do then my shield hp depletes by the time I'm in there. I'm hoping for some clarity on how/when to use my shield while running.

I think Cap should have unlimited shield tosses while in his Ult state. It's honestly the buff he deserves. Also, surprised he doesn't have a team up with Storm to make his shield infused with lighting as well (adding melee damage).
