If saving anywhere wasnt a thing in redux i honestly dont think i would have gone too far into the game As someone who actually plays regularly in public transport and during launch break at work without being able to stop at any time the game would have been such a slog especially because from all my years using the ds and 3ds i never found the sleep feature to be reliable Too many times ive been burned from losing progress due to the console bumping into something during sleep mode

Game has a great cosmic horror story and an immensely deep gameplay system. If you can put up with the cringe-worthy female character designs, it can consume a lot of hours of your time.

I always found the fun of SMT to come more from managing your resources as you make your way through the dungeon, rather than the complexity of the dungeon itself. I certainly want more than a straight line, but despite playing dozens of these games at this point, I'll just never find warp mazes and pitfalls fun. It just feels like pure trial and error if im not using a guide. I can give credit to Sector E that I think it accomplishes what it sets out to do, but overall having played DS and Redux, I'm just not the hugest fan of SJ's level design in general. Although it easily has one of the best stories and settings in the series. I'm all for puzzles, but I find something like the prison you have to flip upside down in Nocturne much more interesting, despite not having as complex a design.

truly incredible performance

I used a double down + evil wave strat to dunk on him repeatdly with mc while my other guys healed and dealt with minions. That made him pretty easy but to be fair I did already have those demons on me so it wasn't super hard to come up with. I feel so bad for people who didn't think of it and had to brute force him, he sounds like hell that way

Do people actually care about legality in games that devs make fucking impossible for people to play? buying it does not give money to the devs at this point, if they wanted money theyd do a pc re-release. atlus is greedy enough as is and gets enough of my money with their modern re-releases

Honestly I cannot bring myself to enjoy Strange Journey Redux because to me The Original Strange Journey is a game that perfectly Gameplay, Mechanics, Story, and Music. Strange Journey Redux just makes things a bit too easy that it breaks the narrative and the new Endings to me feel like they take a dump on the severity of the originals.

Megaten has sold more than 5 Billion copies? that's how many people live on earth.... And the entire book took 2 hours to read, its high-school level reading, maybe 200 pages for the entire book, both parts. It's garbage fiction but def. worth a read. Think trashy beach romance novel, but Sci-Fi. And the second part is the much better part, so learn how to read bud ;) you're really missing out!

Nostalgic seeing this game

I often hear people say 5 is too easy but i dunno I’m having WAY more trouble with this game then I ever did with smt4 and Strange Journey two games I rarely ever struggled with outside of trying to find out where the hell to go. Now I’m playing the vengeance campaign on hard and I’ve never finished finished the original so I dunno I feel like there’s a lot more depth then most people give to credit for especially in team comp building. In smt3 all the way to 4a you basically just spam buffs and charge/concentrate and win the game. It’s kinda brainless tbh In this game you can build a composition around omagatoki Savage, Adversity, Critial, make a team around benefiting from passives, make a team centered around demon combo skills, make a team around attacks then benefit from poison etc there’s so much you can do in this game.

Just finally beat it a few days ago. (Paper mario remake made me finish because I was not starting another game till this was done!) and seriously, it was SO WORTH THE TIME AND EFFORT! A fantastic game that will have your head spinning the whole time!

TFW I just treat the whole dungeon like how I treat the womb of grief NGL my brain didn't even comprehend what type of 🔥 I have accomplished because I was so focused on beating the game from start to finish (doing both the regular story dungeons and womb of grief juggling them both at the same time) and getting the new neutral ending at my first try. (yes, I played the REDUX version), only realizing now my accomplishment after looking back after 7 years. Well I did use guides in the teleport areas but that's just that, most of the time, my OCD just takes over my body and just cleans up the map before going to the next area or part of the story and then yeh..

The reason money is limited is because the game takes places during the great depression.

No mention of Q Hayashida or her maken X manga? Dope video otherwise.
