If you or someone you know is struggling, please consider reaching out to a mental health professional and/or trusted resource. That’s what I did and it has helped me so much.

Honestly, you look perfect for professional teaching career. You are on the right career path. Keep persuading it and make it your lifetime career. Anything else will be brutal for you based on your look and personality. It is brutal out there and you are none of them.
Are you wanting a new job?
26 is young! You have your whole life in front of you. Keep your head up
You’ll go places you never thought you would. Keep it up bro
I'm 41 and even my stable career hasnt been that stable nor the right fit. I also have mental health issues like you do. But keep experimenting with things until you hopefully stumble onto something. I have a masters and im not about it. Trade school? Also my brother in law is a singer song writer. Thats his career. Not sure what he makes - I dont think its very lucrative and my sister is the main bread winner. But he's doing it. And that could end up your scenario too
You just made a video saying absolutely nothing. Your working on a masters in what? You need a class in manning up. Not trying to be harsh but sometimes we need to hear hard truths. Life isn't easy, it's never easy. IMO you need to find a men's group and a mentor to teach you how to put your big boy pants on and get on with it. You sound like 8th grader.
What do you mean you started college as a "pre-med student"? You mean like a pre-med track, majoring in biology? What kind of a college offers an "intro to medicine" course as an undergrad?
I am 27 and live with my parents. The moment I realized how better off I am financially for the current times makes me care less of the stigma. Thank you for sharing your story! Things will be better for you :)
Math and education sounds like you will become a math teacher. I think you will find something that suits you. Don't worry. Everything will work out. I would be a little bit more worried for people who studied music and and arts.
Jesus is the answer!
Gj man. Keep it up
For sure, thanks! 🙏🙌
You’re very talented! Seems like you can achieve anything you set your mind to. Dont let self-doubt negatively impact your ambition. Keep it up dude!
whats a mathematician?
🔥🔥🔥
What tells you to use substitution?
The square root of a constant such as 4 and minus x^3 are not common forms that you can't find on a paper how to solve. Yes you can do it the long way, but substitution is a powerful way that gets the job done.
When he has a chalk board handy you know his love of math is real
😂😂🙌👌
Enlist in the Air Force. There are a lot of technical jobs that will make use of your skills and you will find friends and a job with purpose. After the Air Force, you will get hiring preference, VA Loan, and the GI Bill to take a masters degree.

I can relate to your impressions. Know that you are not alone.

And I thought mathematicians live in chocolate. That only arts majors suffer.
Even while growing up during the Cold War, I felt optimistic about the future. Over the past 10 years, though, I have felt absolutely no hope for the future. We come from different generations, but I totally identify with your perspective.
This is advice from a former Prof. in Higher Education (Faculty of Education), if you really are into teaching careers, you have to be an avid learner. Stay hungry, stay foolish all the time (not cliche). Teaching is a very personalised practice differing from one instructor to another. If you have a trait like tutoring people, teaching classmates, friends, etc. on any subject matters, and feel satisfied when they achieve the skills you teach, and this is your nature. I highly recommend you to attend the Faculty of Education or Teachers' College. Teaching is not about being an extrovert, mass of teachers/lecturers/profs. are introverted but they enjoy delivering the lessons and help people to develop their learning journey, achieve learning outcomes/ acquire soft/hard skills. Simple as that, if that passion is absent, it is useless to pursue teaching careers. I wish you all the best in your endeavour.
There should be a 1 year gap between high school and university for people who are not sure what discipline they want to be in.
Just go back to school and do software engineering. That's very marketable. Or just look up what degrees are very sought in industry. You can work as a TA (most schools give it to graduate students). Go to cheaper schools then. Or be self-taught then. Learn something that is very "practical." Key word here, practical. Science, not very practical. Engineering, very practical. You have time bro but you just have to take action.
Well I hope when my son grow up he will still live with us, at my house. Nothing wrong with that
If you want to find that balance represented by the Tao ( ☯️ ) , try Nature. Nature is totally accessible; it’s everywhere. It is free. And it is totally non-judgmental. It accepts you as you are. Find a park, a trail, even a little backyard. Nature is there. No phone. Slow down. Take time to observe. Beautiful details will be revealed to you. That balance you seek is the very essence of Nature and too many of us are cut off from it in this modern world. So many feel an emptiness which they try to fill with things or drugs or smoking or gambling or on and on. I think that emptiness is the disconnect from Nature of which we are all a part. Connect with it. Once you see that balance in Nature, you will begin to see it in everything and you will find it in yourself. Good luck.🕉️☯️ P.S. : Try reading the Tao Te Ching.
Parents say...go to college live well. Now..go to college be broke, in debt and stay home. The latest is learn things that will benefit your in real life. Not just a job. Or career. Ive been saying this for years.
We are listening….
I think it's Americans waking up to the fact their lives are based around lies and propaganda, that all these values that have indoctrinated the population since 1980 are a form of social control. I'm in Australia and I know 5 USA families that have relocated here. They all say the same thing "We were lied to." There's an American core value that's hammered into the population from the moment they are born; the mantra of " Work hard , hard as you can and achieve the goal of a marriage, home and family. If you dont achieve that goal you are weak and a failure " It doesn't say anything about happiness or contentment. It just pushes the view that you need certain possessions and a family to be an acceptable citizen. Social media has exposed Americans to the rest of the world, how people in other countries are happier , healthier, work less, are actually supported by their elected governments and aren't under the pressure of social conformity. I have an American friend who started mining opals, another is an artist, another teaches English to foreign nationals. They all came from good white-collar jobs in middle America, on high salaries. Now they tell me they feel they aren't judged anymore, that they have self worth and a purpose. This isn't to disparage the USA; if you have a paid off house and are very wealthy it's a wonderful place to live. But if you aren't in that position then it's a life fraught with self criticism, anxiety, exhaustion, self doubt and the feeling of being a loser. Nearly every TRUTHFUL US vlogger seems to have exactly the same problems and issues, things that are rare in vloggers from other countries.
God created you for purpose! You have many talents, use your maths to teach and make creative videos for others who struggle with this subject. You will enjoy it, as a side interest and will develop new skills.
I just deal blackjack.
My take on your video. If you are struggling with mental health issues get help. Let me say that again GET HELP NOW. I'm looking at a young man who is smart (based upon your schooling) and has prioritized getting an education and I applaud that. But you are 26 and at this point should be employed in a chosen field. It's good to be flexible to try to find your way when choosing a career but it's not good to switch gears every time the going gets tough. TH-cam and music make good choices for hobbies but not so good choices for supporting yourself. You are very fortunate that you have intelligence. Not everyone can major in math or computer science. They are tough programs. I'm 60 years old and started out life very poor. I'm a millionaire because I worked hard and started investing at a young age. You can do that too but you need to commit to something, work hard at it, and be good at what you do. I hire and manage people. When you go on job interviews show some enthusiasm, make sure your hair is cut and combed, shave, dress nice (including shoes). You don't want to look like you just rolled out of bed. Research the company before the interview. Ask them questions about the company when being interviewed. I'm not saying this to be mean but you've made a video for the world to see in a wrinkled t-shirt. That's ok for TH-cam but not for an interview. Details like this matter when being interviewed. You are being judged. You're a smart guy and have a lot of options that many folks do not. It's not too late for you to turn your life around. 26 is still young(ish) but you should not wait much longer. You'll soon be 30 and let me tell you that time goes quickly. If you want to get married and start a family you need to get gainfully employed. I hope this doesn't sound mean. I don't mean for it to. I'm watching your video through the eyes of a 60 year old. My perspective is different from yours I'm sure but hopefully some of this helps you find your way. But again, please seek professional help if you are struggling with mental health issues. You have your whole live ahead of you and it can be a wonderful life. Your choices will determine if that happens so please make the choice to get help. Good luck to you.

Instead of sharing your struggles, you could consider doing something productive. That's what will make the change. This is just temporary. Everyone will forget this after some time and you'll stop getting views with these sad struggle videos. You should just embrace whatever you have and try to do the right thing at the right time. This is the truth even if you don't like it. There's so much competition in this world and you have to stand out.
You'll be okay.
I’m 36. I don’t have a degree and I’m making >$200k/yr as an auto collision repair estimator. I trained a guy with a masters in physics. He moved up to management because he prefers salary over commission. I can out earn my regional manager and vice president on commission so I chose not to climb. Don’t lean on your degree for work. Find work. Use your knowledge to excel and out perform your peers. Use the money you make to buy a business that you can use your degree in. Build for yourself. Grow. You have to fight tooth and fucking nail to get ahead in this world. If you’re not out working every guy next to you - you’re going to stagnate.
It sounds like you want stable income to give you the room to explore things you enjoy, like bowling, music, content creation, etc... A couple of years ago a friend taught me a lesson. I was going to a convention and I was denied a pass by a staff member because my Covid shot record didn't have the appropriate booster. So my friend grabbed my arm and dragged me to another staff member. He put is hair up, took his glasses off, and smiled and he got me my pass. By just being charismatic. This same person has a well paying technical job at Apple doing good work even though he doesn't have a degree. Even though the story sounds kind of irrelevant, he taught me that there are multiple ways to get something you want. That accordance with the proper may be cruelty to yourself. Get your money. Who cares if you don't think you have skills for a software job, that's for employers to decide. If your willing to learn and work hard you'll surprise yourself, even if its something you never done before. You can apply to anything you want and apply yourself in any way you want. If you want something, anything, go get it, within reason.
Living at moms at 26 is disturbing
Similar I’m a few years younger, turned 23 not to long ago. Math definitely ain’t my thing lol. I started business school but didn’t finish due to family and financial reasons, I moved back into my home with my parents and I’m actually able to save more money that way and also have the support and companionship of family. I don’t think rushing out is the best idea just because that’s what the world tells you to do. I’m now saving for flight school and attending this march, I wish you the best!!
Do some networking with peeps who can help and move you forward bro.
You’re an intelligent and thoughtful man so I’m sure you already know what’s the best move for you. I’m just here to say you look great with the beard! Keep your beard in future videos 😃
Tell me you wish you went the trade route without telling me you wish you went the trade route. My employer paid for my cdl and now I make 140k+... As a TRUCK DRIVER! lmao Anyone woe is me'ing about their degree is just and idiot, and most likely voted for Kamala 🤣
AI will replace these guys. They are just memorizing things that are already known. The system will prop some of them up... until it doesn't
Become a school teacher in Nj they make good money and no one wants to teach math
What about becoming an actuary?
Embrace the struggle bro. Suffering makes people strong. Without suffering people become soft. You found your passion and have direction in your life. Many people will grow old and die before achieving what you have at only 26 years old
Why is the algorithm showing everyone this video ? Y am I here .. are we supposed to be here?? Take care folks
More to Korea and be an English math tutor.
You are very smart , I’m quite sure there’s something good waiting for u out there , otherwise try out of the states or even overseas Good luck man
