Life can be a series of ups and downs. In Israel’s history, Solomon had built a magnificent temple to God. Sadly however, the children of Israel did not continue to follow and serve God. God sent Jeremiah with a message that if they did not turn from their sinful ways, then they would be taken by other nations into captivity and bondage. They did not listen to the warning, and this resulted in 70 years of Babylonian captivity. The book of Ezra covers a time period of 90 years that followed after the Babylonian captivity. The book opens with Zerubbabel leading the initial group back and starting the work of rebuilding the temple. The first four chapters cover a time period of two years in which the foundation was laid. The next chapter covers fourteen years of inactivity. Last week we pointed out that God sent Haggai and Zechariah with another message. The message was that they were to get back to work. Nearly 60 years have passed, when we get to chapter seven. The rest of the book is a reminder to continue serving and living for the Lord. We will always have ups and downs, but they do not have to be so drastic. Determine to stay close to God and your personal relationship with Him.
Ezra challenged his people to not go back. Which cycle of sin do you need to break in your life? The challenge for us today is to not just hear the message. Allow God to change you. The children of Israel were affected by the message of God. Ezra 10:1 ”Now when Ezra had prayed, and when he had confessed, weeping and casting himself down before the house of God, there assembled unto him out of Israel a very great congregation of men and women and children: for the people wept very sore.” To simplify a serious point, when confronted by God, we can repent or we can try to cover it up. When God speaks to you, which will you do?

    Separation theology is whack and we should stop preaching it. God is not far from any one of us,and there is nothing,including any created being(us) that can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. This man needs to start preaching the word and stop pushing traditions of men. Scripture says that God was in Christ,reconciling the cosmos to himself,and he said it is finished. You may feel far from God but it’s impossible to be

    I’m not entirely sure what you mean by “these people”, but if you’re telling them, God accepts them as is, you are lying to them. If a person is not following the word of God, He will not accept them. That doesn’t mean He doesn’t love them, but it is unacceptable to him. By telling those people that they are accepted by God and by default the church even though they are not repenting, you are leading them astray. If you tell them the truth and they still come to church, then you’ve done your job.

    I was asking the Lord to reveal the truth to me today. He led me through many scriptures and after reading I said out loud “Faith is the like the motor and our works is the gas that keeps the car going” whaaaaaa?? I started laughing then I said Hallelujah Lord thank you! I prayed and asked if it was him and in my head it was just “yes, yes, yes” 3x…..I’m saying this bc I always felt like my faith was all I needed but as I’m reading scripture and really digging in, I’m seeing how real this walk is, like we really have to listen to what he’s telling us and read things that was never taught in church. I’m amazed and perplexed all at the same time, some things I never knew and I’ve read these scriptures before.

    The devil is ALWAYS prowling like a roaring lion, seeking those to devour. Your strength is nothing, your weakness is less so. The devil tempts the strong the weak, the Gentile and the spiritual alike. Strong and weak happily submit to the wiles of the devil, even in Jesus name. Your ONLY protection is at the foot of the cross.

    Today's Version of tithing has no biblical precedent.

  • @ronnieturner1356
    @ronnieturner1356 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    One certainly has to strain out a gnat to get a New Testament Command to tithe money from wages to other men as this guy is doing. Abraham gave Melchizedek a tenth of the spoils of war, not his wealth. Jacob promised to tithe if God would bless him first. God obliged him. Problem with tithing today is there is no one to give tithes to. Even if there was ever a monetary tithe mentioned in scripture (there isn't) there is no Levitical Priesthood under the New Covenant. These Levites of today have substituted "bring your tithes of grain into the storehouse" for "bring your tenth of your wages to the preacher or the church's bank account. Monetary tithing began centuries after the bible was completed. Who do these modern-day teachers of the law tithe to? Tithing was for the Nation of Israel and was given only to the Levites. Money was never tithable, only produce of the land. If anyone should have been taking tithes from the Gentiles, it would have been Paul. Instead, he worked with his hands. If Paul had taken tithes from all the churches of Asia he would have been wealthier than Kenneth Copeland and Creflo Dollar combined! The Christian tithe is a Christian hoax! Give to the needy, not the greedy! God already has His Kingdom. He is not building anything with your money. The pastor is building his kingdom. The church is building temples made with human hands in which He does not dwell. Think about it! Jesus didn't take tithes either. He never commanded tithing. Israel was under the law therefore He told them they should tithe, but not leave the weightier matters undone. Funny how these people preach we are saved by accepting Jesus, and the church replaced Israel (it did not) but they want to hang on to Malachi. Give to the needy and let these pulpit kings get a job like everyone else. We are under the New Covenant since the Resurrection of Jesus and the firstfruits. Israel was redeemed from the law, even the law of commandments. Gentiles were never under the law, but by His work of Grace we are redeemed by faith in His redemption of Israel. Ask these preachers to stop asking for money for a minute and preach the resurrection of Jesus Christ from out of the Dead Saints which slept as we see fulfilled in Matthew 27:52 as was prophesied in Jeremiah 31;15-17 and recited by Simeon in Luke 2:34. Simeon said they would "speak against" this work of Grace. So let's ask them! If I wanted to "put God to the test" which of the 46ooo denominations would He be Head over? A house divided cannot stand! Even if we cull all of the churches down to about a dozen they are still very much teaching conflicting doctrines, arguing and throwing spiritual rocks at each other. God's church is in heaven and that is the Church He is building that the gates of the grave did not prevail against. Go read Hebrews 12 and see it in vs 23. These are the resurrected dead saints that slept out from which Jesus was raised. This is the Church we must be added to and assemble with in Spirit and in Truth!

    Where does it say we have to tithe to a church? Let the Lord guide your offerings into the hands that need them not into the hands of those manipulating God’s word to make them rich. If a church actually gave back to the people that are tithing this world wouldn’t have one homeless or hungry person except be it by choice.

    So the priests that lived in the temple didn't have anything to eat, the tithe was giving them the food which typically came from the sacrificed animals. But the tithe was not money. And since Jesus was the final sacrifice there was no more need of the tithe because there was no more need of the church or the priests because Jesus is the church and the high priest and the final sacrifice

    First of all you didn’t even read the scriptures you mentioned , Genesis 14:19-20 is talking about Abram and Melchizedek who are two official servants of יהוה which you are not, you payed to go to some seminary school and made yourself one. 3:17 Genesis 4:3-4 is talking about the offerings Cain and able made to יהוה ELohim. YOU ARE NOT ELOHIM. Genesis 3 17-19 To Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’ “Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life. Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you, And you shall eat the herb of the field. In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread Till you return to the ground, For out of it you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return.” Do what it says in Genesis 3 17-19 and get a job and stop whoring the word of God to make a living. Get a job you bum!
