BCM has always been an overrated company with an Apple like cult following that puts out mid tier products. For the price of their stuff, you're better off paying that little extra for DD.
DD will stand behind their product as well.
Dang man how did you find a clear anodized one?!
It was a special run for black friday last year
@@TheEngineerShooter sunuvagun that's a nice looking one. I just got the grey chassis and am looking forward to putting mine together. Can't find the action rod at the moment.
I wish a fanny pack did not scream gun…..it just does full on. It’s not discreet, it’s a bill board. No “murse” for me, to each his own. Travel light..IWB, done.
Thats why I have a Lulu Lemon in the rotation but most of my carrying is done IWB.
In Tx and all over the warm states, hip packs are worn by males and females of all ages, so you're blending right in.
On the threaded barrel installation, you did everything right but you actually need to do it 3 times. It helps your threads mesh better so you get a more accurate torque and you get better accuracy. I see later you figured out you just needed an extension on your torque stick. When you are torqueing your action screws, start at the one towards the barrel and snug both front and rear screws. Once that is done start with the barrel screw and torque it to 10 in lbs and do the same at the rear screw. Increase in 10 in increments alternating from front to rear in that order until you reach the torque you want it set at. You are going to find that the torque they tell you is at max torque but you will find that there is a sweet spot where that rifle will shoot the best. You need range time and your torque wrench to try different torque settings. Also on your scope leveling, I level the gun first which you did and I hang a string with a weight hanging from anything you can attach to higher than the rifle. With your rings loose, look through your scope and line your Vertical cross hair in line with the string. The string is straight. Snug your scope mounts in a cross pattern on each one. As you do, at each torque sequence, look through the scope and make sure you didn't tighten on side more than the other and now you aren't in line with the string. At 300 yds on up, your scope alignment is crucial. You make me want to build one of these!!
Which scope rings and height?
This is pretty much the exact build I plan to do, how’d it end up shooting?
shoots well. Still in process of seeing what round it likes the best.
The biggest issue with all these packs is that there is no pull tab to just open the compartment even the eberlestock pack is missing this and for me that's a deal breaker.
I hope to compete with you one day. Thanks for the video.
Curious what the weight of your final build is with bipod attached. Sub 16 lbs with Bipod would be nice for NRL "Heavy" class.
hmm not sure I think its sub 16. shoot me a message on IG. I can weigh it.
Could have done the same in a pistol form....SBR now big brother has you by the short hairs...
if you let them
Nice video! When you mentioned Louisiana I got super excited because that's where I live
same
Everyone must have been gawking at that Battle Belt.
This is the exact build I’m looking to build currently, except I’ve been Told to run a geiselle super 42 H2 buffer weight & spring for the Build ( not planning on running it surpressed ) but I do want a softish shooting rifle I believe the H2 buffer and the micro brake will provide that. Any feed back?
H2 buffer will help but Super 42 will be better.
@ thanks man!! And when you can we’re all waiting for more videos 🔥
Well BCM f**ks and if you have a problem with that you need to hit the road jack, go buy a daniels defense lol
Great to see a fellow engineer in the match! Today is my first match Im super nervous. Your video was extremely helpful thank you for sharing your experience.
Don’t worry about draw times it’s a myth you should practice stealth draw. Much more realistic and effective in a real world situation.
Cool build! What distance do you zero your 11.5 at? And with what ammo?
50 yd 77 gr OTM
Stop saying fanny pack!!!! Its a waist pack
🤓
It’s a fanny pack bruh.
Nice presentation. Cool rig. Lancer mags all the way!
I think your dialing your scope to much, setting at 300/400 would be ideal and holding for the rest. Using Yarn similar to an airplane wing, you can somewhat predict the wind speed without a kestral-- YTchannel CCW and Tactical Shooting PA
Little late to the party here. Just got my BCM MK.2 11.5" upper and without shooting even getting the opportunity to shoot it yet, ive noticed some things. First off, i did a test drop on my rifle after it was fully assembled. And the very first drop, from 5' on a carpeted floor, broke the charging handle. I reached out to BCM to see if maybe I could do anything about it with them given their claims on their charging handle. Absolutely no response from them. Additionally, ive noticed that the hand guard came to me bent. Its bent in a way were it is torqued to the left and curved to the left. Now i was really concerned, because this is a machined piece. Why is it bent from the manufacturer? Now, these are not super critical failures, but reliablility and QC issues most definitely. And im certain that the drop that my rifle experinced was not the reason for the bent hand guard, because the hand guard is bent in the direction of the drop, which is an impossibility. I havent reached out about the hand guard yet, but given the lack of a response in regards to the charging handle, i dont think I will even try. Will most likely just go and buy a Daniel defense mk18 and call it good. At least i know for certainty that with DD, i will be getting a great product that stands behind their products.
Great video brotha
Great video man. I wanna do this one day when i have enough money, this is probably the best straight forward one on youtube for assembling a precision rifle.
If someone is on me in a hand to hand situation I will go for my shiv works clinch pick.
Check out the Special operations equipment FUPA or Fupa dangler.
I had a brand new BCM bcg missing chrome in the 3 bore
I know this is an old video but I'm building a 11.5 AR pistol, the barrel is a ballistic advantage with a BCM quad rail.
modbutton is trash. better off going with a tailcap with a button
Swapped the MBL for a regular one and run the DS00 tailcap..
@@TheEngineerShooter I did the exact same thing...better late than never.
Invest in a bench vice…it will make your life so much better and your build so much easier!
So glad I saw this. I was all in to buy an 11.5 complete upper from BCM, figured i could save a little cash over going with DD. Have a DDM4 V7 as my main AR and wanted to build a pistol variant. Literally was about to order the upper this weekend. Holding off now and will avoid BCM for this new setup.
10/10
Hill People gear pack is the best non gun looking pack. 3 of 7 project has a really good demo. The 945 is too tactical looking and is pretty obvious. I don't want to look like an operator. I want to look like a normal person with a fanny pack.
@@SMS2884 normal people don't wear fanny packs 😃
Pay closer attention to the gain staging of your sound. You're sound is too hot (distorted).
Agreed. I think I just need a higher quality mic. Appreciate the feed back.
Hill people gear has great bag for this.
Nice ill check it out.
945 industries has solved the zipper issues for a fannie pack. They have basically created a rip cord.
Well, that has sealed the deal for the hunt of a CHF chrome lined capable of a giggle switch type of weapons...
I shot a 20 round mag on full auto. That is all. I would get a DD CHF barrel.
@@TheEngineerShooter Thanks for the response as I am pondering them and/or a FN barreled upper. But believe the 11.5 length is the way to go from you and others.
Scope review would be awesome! Very few videos on the new mark 4
Can work one in!
I know this was 7 months ago, many more bags out then and now that are pure carry bags and other the shoulder, not on the belt line for carrying. All of these bags can be cut, I suggest get a bag that has a cut resistant belt.
I usually wear my shirt over the belt for the bag so it would be more difficult to unclip or have cut. Situational awareness also plays a big part in that.
@@TheEngineerShooter So you wear two shirts in the summer?
@@RoadLifePursuits No?
I have the Erberlestock. Good bag. I have done a couple of mods to make it work for me. It is smaller than I thought but good quality.
Eberlestock just released an XL version if you need more space.
Sharing those mods that you made would be helpful.
@@WhiteHat808 in the middle pouch I sewed the dividers at the top so that my knife and flashlight stand upright. They sort of flopped around in there as the two pouches are kind of loose. So now it's four compartments instead of two. In the CCW part of the bag I found double sided Velcro straps on Amazon that you can cut to any length. I wrap them around my pocket holster to secure my EDC gun in there. I also wrapped them around my speed loaders. It keeps everything more secure than that elastic band they put in there. I can get a j-frame and 2 speed loaders in there. You can also wrap them around magazines as well to secure them to the Velcro backing.
@@WhiteHat808I sewed pull tabs into mine so I don't even have to mess with the zippers when drawing. I simply rip the bag open with the pull tabs. It is much faster.
@@lonestarpatriot876I just bought the xl version. I’m a visual guy, so I’m trying to imagine how you sewed the pull tabs.
this will be my nice build. Nice video.
Looks great where did you find the clear ano chassis didn’t see it on aero site
It was a special run during 2023 black friday sale.

Thank you for putting the prices (at time of purchase). Many channels forget to do this. 👍🏻
No worries. Aim to be transparent.
As a bigger dude I like fanny pack carry, I use the spiritus systems big fanny pack, easily carry a full size pistol and other EDC items
im super jelly of that clear anno blem you snagged say playa you ever try midox and or microneedling?
very nice! i been eyeing these chassis and actions from aero. trying to rub staches?
thought you'd never ask
The new stocks they started selling to go with their pistol chassis has a cheek riser that slides straight out. I've been wondering if they will sell just a new cheek riser and how much they will charge if they do
I hope so.
