Love you channel and wish it would go viral! So much great information. Hubs suggested that we buy two of whatever when we need one; not so much even a prepping thing, but we have a backup when we run out of something and we have to go shopping far less. This has been helpful through illnesses, weather events and accidents that have prevented easy travel. We have done this for 25 years and the backups have grown, but we also have things fine tuned so we don't buy things that we know now that we won't use. So that saves money for us as well.

I have friends I can count on the only problem is they prep to little or don't prep at all out of 25 guys not one measured up they don't even have enough ammo I'm not supplying anybody when you start that you'll be supplying everybody until your depleted your self. They are all sitting back waiting time waiting untill something happens but by then it's too late. I've been prepping for 39 years now and I have friends that know what's going on and what's coming some prep very little and the rest don't prep at all they are all sitting back waiting to see what's going to happen but we know by then it's too late. It's one thing not to know what's going on or coming but when you know and you do very little or nothing that's said out of 25 guys they all talk about what they want to do but do nothing I don't want to be with these guys not one person measured up it sucks because no man is an island and i can't do it all by my self. I don't use the word prepping. When the subject of bad current events comes up I say "emergency preparedness is everything now" (Your concern may be quite different than someone else's and if you have special circumstances it is up to you to back yourself up. I recall responders raising a woman in a wheelchair over the water during Katrina which is the emergency image I always think about -- there was enough warning for days so why was she still there? Should have been gone to a safe place predetermined and arranged by her or those she lived with in that house. Some might criticize that statement as Katrina was so powerful but she lived in Texas and those storms are annual. Prepare for scenarios in your region - familiarize with your city/town website on the subject to organize a plan and local resources. Takes time to prepare - everyone has some time to devote to something so important. Ultimate readiness or self-sufficiency is not attainable for many but food, water and medicine and planning options is a good start).

Grew up with a well stocked pantry, and have always had one as an adult. Always good to be prepared for the unexpected... weather, job loss, rising cost of food. Nothing strange about being prepared.

I struggle with my extended family. They all think I’m crazy. I. Am. Not. During the weirdness several years ago, I recommended they all get a month’s supply of food qnd toiletries. My one sister told me she only eats fresh food and nothing from a can. I recommended she get some rice and beans, some canned soups, tuna, etc. She did purchase some. SOME. Like 5 cans. She never touched it and donated it to a food bank in 2021. My mom bought a closet of PICKLES because they were on sale. My other sibling went to Costco and got 3 rotisserie chickens to FREEZE because she loved those so much. I have invited them here a thousand times and they say there’s no need. I tell them all they need to bring a minimum of six months of basic food for each family member, a tent and every tool they have, be it silverware, knives, garden tools and any simple tools like saws, nails, hammers and wrenches. I’ve told them I will turn them away if they don’t arrive with the bare minimum. They laugh at me and never listen. I feel like Seinfeld. “That’s a shame.” Now I focus solely on my immediate family.

So I told her at first we were ready for a tornado, then I brought other items, so I sat down with her and said I was planning in case of nuclear war. To my surprise she thought it was a good idea ! So within my means I keep plugging. Along with that I have been lucky to have successful friends 2 congressmen, one 2 star ⭐️ and many other military friends. I figure if I never use my stuff my son would love to have it !

Today I was at a mall and got followed by a very sketchy younger women who asked for money. I said NO, she cursed and moved onto another couple. BTW I'm a senior and was alone. I would have felt very threatened if there hadn't been many people around. I have noticed since my hair has turned white this kind of situation has happened several times before. Food for thought eh! Might color my hair. And I live in a city/country that's relatively peaceful.

If times are extremely tough, many people get highly stressed. So to offer prayer, a listening ear, counselling for people who are suffering greatly would be something to bring to the table. I would have to be very sure of church groups, they are not all created equal.

thanks from Canada.. i am a senior with physical disorders from severe injuries and i use a walker. the perfect target.. i appreciate your day to day practical advice that works. i practice these words of wisdom. i have been approached too often and have chosen to change my behavior. ih used to ignore the natural senses we all have but not anymore. i am always scanning the environment around me and be aware of people as well as situations. too often when we are approached rapidly we are about to become the victim of a predator or if someone is casually loitering nearby watching us. avoid where possible. in canada we are not able to carry weapons including bear spray to be used against people or stun guns. the police have stun guns. using your common sense wisdom can prevent much trouble. i am also cautious around people who want to help,. their motivations may not be safe. spidey sense..i hate that we live in a world that is more of an important tropic to be reminded about or to learn about. our children need this advice early in their lives also and to trust their own spidey sense. from a realist also. thanks for these videos you are creating.
