I’m glad they’re focusing in on retention and replay value. The game is super fun at its core and if they can solve these issues I can see the game doing much better long-term.

THIS IS REVOLUTIONARY

They have to incorporate damage done in LP calculations, even if it only counts damage done in a short period before the subject dies so as to avoid poke cheese. That still won't solve everything because characters like Silvia or Laura will still survive where others die just because they have far more mobility, but it at least takes some of the emphasis off of third-partying. Playing a relatively immobile char is torture. It didn't used to be, but they added a bunch of folks who can jump all over and/or brawl you to death so you can't run and can't fight. Sissela used to be good, for instance, but now she's a meme in part because of mobility creep.
