Sorry that these speakers does not work for you well but i power them through a denon av receiver in a 7.1.2 setup and paired them with klipsch spl 100 subwoofer which is 10 inch and works wonderful and i guess if you have a another amp or source owned then swap that with your current amp and see the results and if you expect some bookshelf or floorstanding speaker performance they can not deliver that the same but they are close enough and yah also i calibrated my speaker thriugh my av receiver at 80db easy and set the frequency response to 80hz for the speakers and the sub which a sweet spot i can see

@@ragtec9592 No need for any sorry Param, I am just providing my experience with these speakers so it may help someone. I also am using it through a Denon AV 7.1 set up paired with a Kilipsch R120 SW. The SW is brilliant. After calibration they sound fine but I was expecting more that what I am getting out of this. I will keep these speakers but I think before the B&W I am going to get the ELAC Vela 409 as they are more affordable at the moment. I have another Marantz amp that I am using on my setup on the ground floor with ELAC Pipes and a 10 inch Velodyne SW and this system is perfectly balanced the speakers do not get stressed easily.

Hey i guess you should look for the b&w deal you were talking bout cause if you getting it a bit cheap you should buy it cause after some time the price will increase as they are rare speakers so make sure you get them accordingly and yah elac vela are also good speakers.

All the slim speakers you saw in these video are passive

@@ragtec9592 Thanks for your response, Is there a difference in sound between the RP240D and 640D? Also how do these speakers handle the mid frequency sounds, I want to use them for music, not for the TV or Movies?

I mena if you look at the on paper difference there is no difference on power handling and all the other parameters except the driver configuration but yes you can feel a difference in wide spread or dispersion on the speaker the 640d sounds much wider then the 240d.

They work very well for tv but you need an amp for powering them

Marantz Analogue Amp with ELAC speakers indoors and Cambridge speakers out doors in my garden. Player is a Cambridge and velodyne subwoofer. This system sounds fantastic use it for for music only. The second one which is a bits and pieces that I had not played for 3 years, it is an old Sharp Player, with a Denon Amp that is 23 years old, I had some old Microlab matchbox speakers (64db) that I canabalized from an old 5.1 Microlab system also 23 years old, I play the music from a tab using VLC and flac files. The sound is surprisingly very good because I used the equalizer in VLC. In fact my friends who have B&W 704 speakers said that this was sounding better than his set up (I think his amp is having problems). I bought a Klipsh R120 SW recently to use with this system. However I want these speakers to replace the microlab at they are only 64db and only go down to 150Hz, since I am planning to spend this money (for 2 Klipsh 640Ds) I wanted to ask you since you are very knowledgeable and have experience with these 640D how they handle the mid range sounds as they are 2 way speakers, tweeter high frequency and Woofer low frequency from what I understand, I wanted to know what about the sound of Mid range frequencies as I want them for listening to quality music and not for TV or movies.

Hello Manish, Yes KLH is available in India and we are the authorised dealer in Gujarat state. I am not sure about the Model 5 availability in India but i will find out and tell you in a sort while.

Yah if you going for a 2 channel setup, then yah its completely okay but i think pairing a sub woofer would be nice

Big mistake going with one (1) 240D, as you will lose the “stereo” effect sans both L and R channels. If money is an issue, that prevents you from buying two 640Ds, then buy two RP-240Ds! This will give you the desired “stereo” (L and R channel) effect. The 240D and 640D lack any discernible low end, so a sub (at least 12”) will be needed. Good luck ✌🏻

In India, it cost about ₹3,88,100/- for the configuration you asked for. But, then it depends on what you are opting for like 2 d600 lcr with 2 d600 surr speakers or all four are lcr
