When a German Pilot Spared an American Bomber!

In 1943, a B17 bomber was badly damaged over Germany, but an enemy fighter pilot chose to spare it. The German pilot escorted the bomber safely out of German airspace, even saluting the American crew before leaving. 50 years later, the pilots met and became friends. This act started a debate: was the German pilot right to spare the bomber, or did he betray his country?

The XH-84H Thunderscreech was the world's loudest plane. It's special propeller which rotated at supersonic speeds caused the noise. This noise was of 180 decibels which caused the pilots and ground crew some sever hearing loss! Only 2 of those planes were ever built.

What happens if Airplanes Reverse thrust deploys mid air? In 1991 Lauda air flight 004 ripped apart in the sky and crashed. Investigation revealed that one of its reverse thrust automatically opened mid air which caused imbalance in thrust and the plane crashed.

It was shot down in middle of night. Due to communication issue, fighter pilot and airplane pilot couldn’t communicate. Airplane had no idea they drifted off due to technical failure. Since fighter pilot got no response from airplane, he confirmed with Moscow on 6th attempt and shot it down thinking its US spy plane
