What about a co-branded approach that's a middle ground between a paid send vs. a totally owned product? Profit-share on the product but let the partner do the fullfillment? Potentially even more upside while also continuing to build the strength of the brand & goodwill

Thanks! Isnt part of the reason that you are profitable now is that you are generating revenue from prior unprofitable cohorts? Once that declines then your new profitable revenue might not be enough to cover fixed costs

What makes Ancestral Supplements great for me is the "Like heals/nourishes Like" and the quality of the "food". I long ago read about this - Dr. Weston Price, etc. But couldn't find an easy way to get these organs. Your website has tremendous information, it's a great education reading all of it and I have. We get to learn so much about the products and how valuable they are to our health. I and my family have seen awesome health improvements. The customer support is just the best. Please do not change the products unless it's for the better. Too much of our food is being bioengineered and denatured. Thank you for Ancestral Supplements.

Great interview and appreciate the candidness. Also your candor about wanting to overstate your business success when speaking with MuteSix One thing I'm curious your opinion on... Should we push the industry to stop talking about "increasing AOV" and instead swap that out with whether they were able to increase Contribution Dollars per order? Increasing AOV really only means increased topline revenue IF number of customers stays consistent or increases period over period. BUT, if you're jumping into new categories, COGS could also be increasing and AOV is only increasing as a proxy of desired margin %. But with the increase in CAC, are you really performing better? Maybe not when it comes to Contribution Dollars in the door. Thoughts?

What is the best bank...it is not actually a bank but a Credit Union and this model can work in the software business. You are NOT a customer to the Credit Union and if/when a software company works this way it will win. Yopto could create members instead of customers. They would have a vested interest in the business and pay a dividend to every company that uses the service based on a proportion of profit. Companies are like banks which are there to make money at all costs so have to squeeze margine. Another way is to offer a one time or flat rate price and then at cost for the hard costs. The benefits happen for everyone because of the scale of business can purchase the hard cost paid to someone like Twillio. Scale together. Lock in forever. Or a transparent capture of some sort of margin due to the scale. A company paying Twillio direct could get sms for say $1 but after the one time cost could get access to the scale price with a bit of margin on top that is reasonable. What I heard from Sean is that Lifetimely and Shopify have consistently decided to leave money on the table and "bought" goodwill because of it. A great conversation for sure.

Loved this discussion. Couldn't agree more with their takes on some of these companies (Yotpo, Netsuite, Klaviyo). I'd add in Route to the list of companies that haven't been able to evolve with the market, yet they keep a ridiculous pricing model.

I revisited YotPo in the last year, and all these sub products Tomer is talking about where acquisitions that they tried to bolt together like a frankenstein product, he speaks as if they are building out these robust features but really just buying indie apps and putting them under the YotPo umbrella, they have completely independent backends there is no consistency throughout the platform. I want to root for them, but not yet.
