I was out Sunday noonish at Howard Miller Steelhead park in search of the Northern Pygmy Owl but no luck. I'll definitely try again in the winter and may even try one of these guided walks.

Native Portlander, I remeber how much character Powell's had before the 90's remodel, it wasn't as brightly lit in the lower levels back then.

If you can't park at the trail head there is a large,free parking area up the road there so you won't need to park where it says no parking.A paved trail connects the two places.

It's nice to see that such a wonderful structure is still standing. Quite the opposite of what happened to a trestle that spanned the Wynoochee River in Mason County, Washington. It was burned in the climatic scene of a 1961 movie, "The Ring Of Fire". That scene is here on TH-cam, and the title is "Ring of Fire Train Crash Scene". The wreckage is still in the river all these years later! It's amazing how lax environmental laws were back in the 60's.

Cool vid! We hiked up the quiet beach on the west side of Point Roberts, enjoying the late summer sun. After finally spotting an occupied cabin, we asked "what country are we in?" When they said "Canada", we knew we'd gone too far! Not well marked😂

The tram is right above my house

This is my favorite market to explore! We stayed at the Embassy Suites just so we would be able to walk to the market. What a fun place to spend hours shopping and eating. The best part is most everything is handmade and you can find so many unique items!

Absolute waste of our time. They just dump you off for an hour at an overpriced gift shop. If you sit on the wrong side, there is ZERO scenery from the train itself, and basically you’re just staring a a creek on the other. 45 minutes up, then back, while enduring the lame attempt at humor by the tour guide over the loud speakers. This guy makes Bob Hope look like a genius. He’s as funny as acid rain.

The locals have never called it a “witch castle”, because the accused woman and the original house were long dead when the stone structure was built for public use. All you people calling it that are misleading at best. How would you like it if somebody accused YOU of witchcraft.

Thank you for showing us the trailhead and most of the trail. I think the views from the top are worth the scramble but stopping where you guys did is okay as well.
