In-depth videos following my motorcycle build progress. Slightly unhinged.
MOTOVLOG - random ramblings around aberdeenshire
A quick loop out on the Indian FTR1200 the other night to test out the new ND filters for my go pro.
Been a while since I have done any kind of vlog but a good chance to get out and play on some of the fun roads around me.

Malle Mile Adventure - 2024
มุมมอง 7773 หลายเดือนก่อน
Had an awesome time at the Malle Mile 10th anniversary. My first time visiting something like this. Hopefully the video gives you an idea of what to expect (Motorbike breakdowns included!) Definitely want to go back next year.
Malle Mile Prep - Episode 3
มุมมอง 1823 หลายเดือนก่อน
I may have lost my rag a few times here fighting with brakes but we are in the final stages of prep for the Yamaha TT600 Scrambler for taking to the Malle Mile 2024 happening this weekend. Hopefully meet some of you there!
Malle Mile Prep - Episode 2
มุมมอง 2553 หลายเดือนก่อน
We're getting the Yamaha TT600 Scrambler for the Malle Mile in a week. In this episode we get the carbs stripped and cleaned, engine put back together and do some fault finding with he PLX wideband lambda. A few challenges were experienced on the way but good to be on the tools to solve problems. Disclaimer: I would also watch using that ultrasound cleaner I initially recommended initially on c...
Prepping the scrambler for the Malle Mile
มุมมอง 3353 หลายเดือนก่อน
A little deviation from the XS750 build to focus on getting the TT600 Scrambler prepped for the Malle Mile in a few weeks. Let me know if you are heading there in the comments and we can catch up!
XS750 - Vlog update
มุมมอง 3055 หลายเดือนก่อน
Got parts from the vapour blaster which identified a few things which needed sorted with the frame. Made some more progress on the side panels..... I'll be at the bike shed show this weekend in London if anyone is kicking about come say hi! #slowandsteadywinstherace
XS750 - Engine & Side panel prep
มุมมอง 2817 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video I appear to stretch out two jobs which shouldn't take very long into a 36 minute saga... Details on engine preps for painting and how I am getting the side panels ready for painting. Also a wee update on the unfortunate freak accident I have had since my last video, all is ok but hopefully the info may help someone prevent the same thing from happening. Onwards!
XS750 - Frame mods and carbon fibre seat pan
มุมมอง 2598 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video we tick off a few jobs to progress the XS750 build some more. I think the carbon fibre seat pan is OK. If I was to do it again I think a better base to put the carbon fibre onto would maybe yield slightly better results, also maybe trimming it smaller so less weight hanging off the side would help. Onwards!
XS750 Recap
มุมมอง 3418 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this episode, we pick up where from where I left off about a year ago, trying to remember what I had done on the XS750. Luckily there is more completed than I remember so it's a case of putting that plan into action. NWT Europe link: nwteurope.com/ Any questions please fire away! Garage clear out
มุมมอง 3339 หลายเดือนก่อน
The past few weeks have been busy chipping away in the garage. In this video, we make strides in getting my garage back and in a functional place to start working on my project bikes again. Progress....slowly but surely. Back to XS750 content next, promise! If you liked what you saw, please consider subscribing to my TH-cam to stay updated! Long Overdue Update...
มุมมอง 5479 หลายเดือนก่อน
Long time no speak...still alive! Happy new year, I hope 2024 is a great year for you all. Secondly, in this video, I give an update on what's been happening in the land of Remotorcycled. Lots of change, including building a house, has drained a lot of energy and ultimately led to a bit of a lapse in any content (11 months for garage content!). As you will see in the video I have a bit of a bat...
Motovlog - Catch up!
มุมมอง 239ปีที่แล้ว
I have been a tad absent of late. This wind noise ridden motovlog aims to update you a bit as to what's been going on. This was a great run from Blairgowrie up to Glenshee ski centre. Cracking weather and clear roads may have got the better of me at some points.... The wind noise is something I will improve, apologies some of it isn't very clear to differentiate my mumblings. For anyone interes...
XS750 Vlog - Strip down
มุมมอง 389ปีที่แล้ว
Welcome back...it's been a while! In this week video I spend the limited time I do have getting this POS stripped apart ready for the next phase of the build. I will try to keep this ticking along whilst working on the house build! busy times...
XS750. Vlog 7 - Lathe stuff...
มุมมอง 309ปีที่แล้ว
In this video we look at one of the more fiddly jobs, mounting the side panels. It's great to be able to refine the process here for mounting these, particularly with the addition of the Lathe. It is fun to use and I love the challenge of solving problems like this. Progress is slow but steady considering the time constraints I have. Hopefully make some progress when I'm back next time. Went on...
XS750 Vlog 6 - Mounting points
มุมมอง 3432 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video we look at some of the outstanding brackets etc still needing made for this build before it can be torn apart to make pretty. I unfortunately got distracted by my new lathe so didn't get as much done as i would have liked however! My garage is tight for space as you can tell! Onwards... #XS750 #metalwork #fabrication If you liked what you saw, please subscribe to my TH-cam to stay...

i dont even wear ear plugs, let alone listen to music, as i dont feel connected to what's going on around me otherwise if that makes sense.
got there in the end Struan...didn't know about this massive event...I live in Lincolnshire...looks great fun!
I have one of these. It's a 1979 XS850 which was converted into a trike some time ago. I am refurbing it over the winter and looking forward to riding it in Spring 2025.
I need to get my shit together and get mine finished! Hoping to get some time to make some more content this winter too, best of luck!
Nice video❤❤❤
words are hard ;) , the ducati sounds so great!!
Seek and destroooooy 🤘
With the amount of people there, that had cameras, I'm surprised there are so few images online.
Agreed, so many quirky bikes also so it’s a shame I didn’t get to capture more!
Great to see you buddy... take care and same again next year
You too dude!
Oooooooh I am soooo going next year!!!
See you there dude 😉
That was cool! Looks like you had a blast!
It was a right good weekend! Thanks dude
Dude it looks like a total laugh! I fancy sticking knobbies on my XS250 and joining in next year 💪🏼
Yes you definitely will ;)
Been watching your channel for a while now, Really enjoy your way of working as i feel it's similar to mine. Especially getting more projects when one isn't finished :). Just a heads up that i'm working my way through the XS750 Quick Build and this video wasn't in the playlist!
Thanks dude, appreciate the feedback. Been getting back into the projects recently now I’m a bit clearer of my House renovation. Hopefully have more quick build (lol) updates soon!
Good luck and have fun 👍
Hey dude, Rich (fae Aiberdein Cafe Bike Scene) here... next time you get a stuck piston like that again just use your compressor to blow it out. Also I'm back working in the garage, hit me up if you get stuck with anything else. Have a fun trip.
Good to hear from you dude. Yeah, great shout, The stress was getting to me so wasn't thinking straight...I even fell out with the bloody thing later on by tripping over it! Good stuff, for sure. Working on anything fun?
@remotorcycled got 2 R80 beemers I'm working on (one café and one tourer/daily) and a micro camper... all should be ready by winter lol 😆
Mmmm 😋’delicious piss’ 😅😂
It would make sense to me that, to far in on the mixture screw and you’ll be reducing flow (running rich) and vice versa to far out increases flow (to lean). The sweet spot of between 1.5 - 2 turns out means you need a smaller idle jet. Confirmed by you’re wide band O2. A good write up I read said to back off the idle screw completely and leave choke off. You don’t rev to tune the idle. back the mixture screw out till it runs poorly then turn it back in till it runs well, if less than 1.5 turns out you need a smaller idle jet - more than 2 then you need to go bigger. Once this is correct you can set idle screw where you want. When you rev the engine and it goes lean followed by rich again, this is likely where your main jet opens. Once you have idle correct you’ll need to check the main jet. FYI the write up I’m referring to was for a Weber carb I fit to my old datson and is also from memory so confirm your own tuning requirements for your specific carb. Did you check decompression lever function? Might be compounding some of your run issues.
Man I feel your pain! Tuning carbs can be a lot of tail-chasing. Good update though and it's always fun to revisit old projects and improve your work. Now... I'm away to buy some Shoff.
Vas ist Shoff ?

Would you be interested in a lower seat for the XT? My dad Ronnie Corbett has 1 spare. LOL. Great video Buddy.
Your still a top bloke, and most people are shorter than my 6'5" love your videos and the metal music backing ❤
Thanks my dude!
Hi.Sir Could you show me know how to remove starter motor Yamaha special XS850 1980 please? Thanks Peter
This has helped a lot with the answers I needed for a replacement ignition system on my xs850 so many thanks.👍
I'll keep an eye out for you and Shoogly on the Friday, apologies in advance if I've had too much beer!
Nice to meet you dude
Have a good Bike Shed with Shoogly dude, will try and make next year 😎
Fit like min, not going to the show but went last year and it was brill. Say hello to Graham from Steelworx, he's frantically working on a build for the show. I know he follows shoogly. All the best
Hey dude, yeah we drove down in convoy with him and chinned a few beers together! Cheers
How you doing mate, unfortunately I’m a no go for the Bine Shed show this year. Managed to score a ticket to the cup final so it’s off to Hampden I go. Hope you lads have a good one and I look forward to next year when you have a panther/phoenix double entry!! Cheers
Nice project. I am presently building a Yamaha XS 850 cafe racer. The Triumph carbs are a good swap, I am working on the jetting at the moment. They run lean as the Triumph 900 is water cooled and the Yamaha triple needs more fuel as it’s air cooled and runs hotter l guess. Anyway I tried mains at 150 and pilots at 48 but this is too rich ( probably good for a 900 big bore kit) so I shall re-jet 130 mains and 43 pilots. I thought this info might be of interest to you. Keep up the good work.
Dances with chickens😂
back to classic Remotorcycled vids, love it!
i am hoping to give certakote a try at some point. some years ago i painted by zxr750's panels and was quite happy with it...left it quite a few days and then stored it in bubble wrap...which left the bastard impression of the bubble on the panels.
dishwasher? large parts washer perhaps?
Struan you're alive dude!! i am way behind on this good news. great to see you back. house looks stunning...i have kinda been there before and it's a journey through hell...but you have done it now. 911 my dream car too...996 gen going to appreciate...bores, IMS, RMS etc all checked out? is this the 3.4? lots of good content to come i am sure. bet there's a sound deadened room in the house somewhere! cheers.
Well that was an emotional rollercoaster!! Chicken danger, serious assault by a brake handle, the new hope of a whiteboard, the deconstruction of an engine and very near closure of the side panel saga!! I need a lie down! Good video & I think I scent momentum?? Cheers mate
So good to see the progress dude - you look like you've found the groove again 💪🏼🔧
Thanks dude! Yeah it’s getting there for sure, hopefully the vapour blasted parts come back a treat too👍
Sleepy gary

I know it’s a bit much to ask but you you send me a list of the products
Good stuff mate - it’s always better to seek forgiveness rather than permission!!!
Hahaha I know, I’m just thankful I’m alive to tell the tale
Have a look at the yamaha flat track frames. Brace above the swinging arm mounts.
The one thing that would've made this video better is maybe a camera set up on the door to catch your girlfriends expression when she comes home and catches a wiff of her beautiful remodeled clean house.
Excellent content man, my dad has a custom motorbike paint shop out the back of Ellon (Aberdeenshire) ace to see someone local to me also into customising older bikes. Give me shout if u want my old man’s details.
Thanks dude! You got any projects on the go currently? Yeah I may take you up on that!
Aye doing a HONDA shadow hardtail at the moment. Did a Harley sportster chopper over the last few years that’s 98% complete. Have u got a way I can send over the old man’s details. Don’t want to post his number on TH-cam comments Ken lol.
Great to have you back. Regarding the bottom end rebuild, i think i would do it, be a bitch to complete the build and find out there's problems with the motor. Later man👍
Thanks dude, yeah currently weighing it up with sourcing what parts I would need for a full rebuild.
Great update dude - i can relate 100% cause i too am surrounded by a melee of bike parts that need work and coatings! You didn't mention brakes did you? What's the plan??
Thanks man, yeah brakes I have the originals for now but will either look to use the fazer front end or source some others I can fit with an adapter bracket
Nice rant, we are all on the same page now.
Love your content and never miss a video from you brother! Glad to see a video from u. I know you’re always busy working but we are here to support you 100 percent! See u on the next one! ARCO MN OUTLAW CUSTOMS (outlaw edge TH-cam channel)
Thanks buddy, means a lot, hope you’re well. 👍
Ya dancer - I’m on a half day & new video!! Kismet mate.
frame already modded remove the lock
Good shout lobbed it off last night 👍
Can someone post the english translation?
I could try again with smaller words if that would help you? Perhaps more crayons in the explanations?

Dammit Rufus! I had a similar thing happen this summer, working on a car with the dog in the yard when I realized I hadn't heard him in a while. Went looking for him and found him in the neighbour's yard, and I found out I had to fix the fence 🙄. That road's got to be a bit of a worry, luckily Rufus seems to keep you guys in close proximity.
