I do think it's possible to have a satisfying trip with only 2 days there! The town is smaller than you might think, and is mostly focused around the onsen experience and food. As for hotels, the one I stayed at was called "ELE Hotel Onsen Ryoufutei", and it was a cheaper than and similar to a full ryokan. Staying at a hotel with an onsen is not necessary since there are onsen everywhere, but its a nice bonus if you're willing to splurge! I'd recommend getting there as soon as your hotel allows (usuallu 3pm) and then go explore around! Your body can only handle so many onsen in one day, and since the town is smaller, I'm sure you can explore just about everything in those 2 days while also getting your fill of the hot springs. Thanks for the comment! I actually didn't know the store bought was totally different than the real deal. This one was definitely more of a novelty and just something fun that seemed "American". If there was a way to bring the real stuff here, I'd totally do it and have him try it again!

Thank you! I went in early December and it was pretty cold! I think February will probably be cold too, but you should be fine with a nice puffy jacket. I'd guess around 2-6 degrees Celsius. The good news is that the hot springs will feel amazing during the cold!

I was shocked to read that they are actually surprisingly healthy even though they weigh so much! And yeah I had no clue about how the ranking system works, but it seems really fun to pick a favorite and watch them climb up the ranks. Here's to a great next tournament 🍻

This is such shit. They have relatively lower visceral fat but no way in hell do they have less body fat percentage than the common man. I get the point you're trying to make but that's a brain dead statement.
