Fanny Mendelssohn-Hensel: ‘July’ from Das Jahr
มุมมอง 928ปีที่แล้ว
Fanny Hensel’s piano cycle Das Jahr (The Year) is a musical diary of her travels in Italy throughout 1839-40. With 12 works to represent the 12 months, such a concept was entirely novel in 1841 (Tchaikovsky’s The Seasons came later in 1876). The facsimiles bear great visual appeal; her artist husband Wilhelm had supplied vignettes for each ‘month’. Like most of her works, Das Jahr was published...

Superb interpretation of this marvelous work. Many thanks to TH-cam for introducing me to this splendid artist.
Absolutely wonderful! So very special. Thanks.
My favourite from the set. Incredibly played ❤

Sehr schön interpretiert
🔥💖❗🤗
This is an excellent performance! I’m surprised it doesn’t have more views. Thank you for sharing your skills and magic with us, this is one of my favorite pieces to listen to on rainy days.
Thank you! It's a charming piece indeed, though unsurprisingly people pay more attention to her later works.
I love this so much! Great job!😊
Que relajante ❤
good morning. i m trying to play the fugue in g minor but i do have some diffuculties in the fingering and the liaisons aussi phrasing.what would you request please. thank you
Beautifully done. So much emotion in it… love it
Beautiful! Definitely one of the reference videos to aspire towards as I prepare for the dipARSM :)
First of all - very wonderfully played! And using your historic Bechstein gives the viewer a glimpse of the time when this magical piece was composed. We have Melanie Bonis‘ Biography here at home, written by her grand grand daughter - Melanie Helene Bonis, what a stunning woman, and stunning composer - worth reading everyone! We have the score book from FURORE publishers, who specialise in female composers, there are more pieces from Mel Bonis to be discovered and my daughter is just starting this very piece, Carillons Mystique - so your video with instructions is much appreciated!
Could you please share me the score if you don’t mind? I really love this piece. Thank you
It’s published by Schirmer, hope that helps! I’m afraid I can’t send it to you though because of copyright
I found this song a couple of days. Love it so much. Enjoyed watching you play it! Now back to my own piano to struggle, haha 😂
it is incredibly fun to play!
Try number 11
love your expression and dynamics, just....dreamy and magical
I've never seen this one published.
Schirmer published it in 2020/21, along with Nos. 3 and 4 - www.wisemusicclassical.com/work/60924/Fantasie-negre-No-2-in-G-Minor--Florence-Price/
Thank You. @@ninghuisee
👏👏👏
I didn’t know that it was possible to play this piece, but you proved it right there, absolutely perfect I’m currently halfway through practising, ‘ Prelude & Fugue in G Minor, Op. 16 No. 1’ and the next one is Romance variee in C Major, Op. 3 , i wish you all the best, thank you✨🤍
it is easier than it sounds, which is quite typical of early Romantic 'brilliant' works! Thank you for your kind comments, and all the best
I always feel I want at least an hour of his pieces at a sitting . 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😎
Olafsson has a whole album! It’s become my writing background music
Love the lego piano :)
it is very cute and motivating!
Wonderful!
Thank you!
& the presentation/lecture follows when 😇
aha, not for this one this time! I'm planning to do a vlog/review of the Mendelssohn-Haus though, when I can find the time

Thank you, that's very kind of you! :)
This was fantastic!!!🙃🙃🙃 Thanks for sharing!
Needed these tips, thank you
I’m glad they’ve been helpful, happy practising!
Hi wonderful piece❤
Thank you, it is wonderful music indeed!
I’m not anyway near of being a pianist, but I try to play this fugue on a hammond keyboard. I just can’t figure out how one can play it so fluently, I just feel so damn clumsy’.
Bellissima musica ❤❤ al di là delle interpretazioni che si possono preferire....
Thank you!!!
I didn't know this sonata, it's beautiful.. I loved it so much.. incredible and amazing pianist as well... Great job 👌
Beautiful interpretation ✨
