Great video!!
Hey mate, cheers for the advice. Would you recommend using something a bit more sturdy than thread tape to make the adjustment last longer, or even just weld them in place? Cheers
I wouldn’t weld them. You still need them to be adjustable. Once welded as your pads ware you will lose your handbrake. I just use this to prevent the adjustment being able to wind back and loosen off. Thread tape is probably the easiest. But you could use string or electrical tape. Anything that will pack in behind the thread and stop it winding back.
What are the three extra ties for? Have you used them? (I don't mean the guy ropes, just the small ties. You said at the start we will see what we use these for later!)
Yes it’s later and I am still not sure what they are for.😂 I haven’t found anywhere they are needed. I just purchased 10 more of these and took them out of the bags as the kids just leave them on the ground. Only thing I can think of is that they go on the peg end of the ropes for visibality.
Hey am curious will it damage the fuel pump/injectors?
After 10 years of running a blend I just had to replace my injector pump. Unsure if I picked up bad fuel or it was the oil. But was told the pump had had water through it. So run at your own risk
Nice detail review. Im convinced with lethal. But now i wonder how lethal stacks against dominator 7 inch
Curious if this is still holding after 3yrs? They make a tool to pull the metal strap tight. Normally you don't see boots last if you only pull the metal tab by hand / no tool .. or... if you get grease on the metal surface under the boot where the strap squeezes down. Glad they make a split kit like this though.
It was going fine. Till I sold the car around a year and a half ago. I would love to have kept it but couldn’t afford the rego and insurance on 2
Great review!
need a new pinion seal
You saved me a lot of time on this one, thanks heaps!
I’m glad I could help. 😁
Thanks mate
Awesome. What timeframe would you say this job takes?
Boa noite Amigo ! Preciso de um kit desta coifa ! Tem como you enviar o número do código pra que Eu possa comprar aqui no Brasil ! Fico agradecido pela sua atenção ! Forte abraço .
Boa noite! Qual é o fabricante dessa peça ? Muito obrigado Eu sou brasileiro!
Someone should remind this guy where oil comes from…. The ground!!!
I am fully aware of this. Old car manuals used to say dig a hole pour the oil in and wait for the ground to reabsorb it. Unfortunately times have changed and there are lots of people that say it must be disposed of properly,
@@blackllama1 When I was a kid , we lived down a dirt road in Arizona , we would put used car oil on the road to keep the dust down .
@@garycurtis4914 yes I have seen the same done here. Also farmers used to Pour on fence posts to prevent rot and termites. But not allowed to do either in Australia now
The thing I love about yours is it's the same colour as my Fzj80 94 😅 I find my 1fz-fe on petrol/LPG does go quite well, revs out nice and smooth and you're correct everyone thinks it's cool and says something to me about it, I would love to have driven a brand new one and not waited until they're 30 years old like mine to own one, it's a nice honest and hard working beast ♥
I remember when they came out I knew someone that had one new. And wanted one ever since. Always the the dark green. And totally agree. I would have loved to drive mine from new. Still they have aged well.
@@blackllama1 two of my uncles had them new when I was growing up, one non turbo diesel and one petrol, both white with black flares, I had the opportunity to buy the diesel one from that uncle, it was immaculate and priced fairly but I'd taken on a mortgage on a brand new home and was strapped and simply couldn't afford it, I've had a soft spot for them ever since, I'm 57 and just bought mine a few months ago and absolutely love it 😀
I just bought a second-hand one this week and it's fantastic... I use it because I have a back issue and it hurts swinging a whipper snipper all the time so this makes it better for me with my back in conjunction with my ride-on mower on a large corner block here in Melbourne.
Yes it’s a great tool. I use it lots for work . It saves my back so much. I’m glad it works well for you also.
So funny "read the manual" - no.... throw it away and fumble through assembly, and wonder why it takes two 20v batteries to run a 40v product. Love it
Great intro into the world of electric chainsaws😊 I'm in the process of selling off ALL my petrol based tools!! I can see that in the next couple of years (before 2030?), petrol based tools will start the inevitable decline, as petrol gets more expensive, batteries get more powerful & cheaper, and regulations change around the noise & pollution of traditional tools 😮 California already has banned the sale of new petrol yard tools, for domestic & professional users. The rest of the world is following 👌
My existing saw is the Stihl MS180CQT, 14". I've had this brilliant tool for 20 years of both domestic & professional use. It's never faulted. A few years back, I looked at electric saws, but batteries & power were crap. Now, with EV's, the whole battery/power/charging landscape has completely changed. I feel we ALL need to move to electric ASAP, to alleviate Noise, Pollution and Climate Change 😊 And the final nail.... Electric tools are almost FREE to run. Especially if you have Solar 👌 Solar => EV => Tool What's not to like 🤔
This is great, but mechs will always use the standar ones so they can charge you 400$ for a change
So true
What about the reliability? Glue in contact with oil lubrication doesn't seem like a good combination to me.
who sells them?
China planet the capital of the world
Shit vid.. no need to post
For the price, and the amount I'd use it compared to a petrol chainsaw, it would be a worthy investment. Thanks for the video, great job 👍
Yes the price is a major factor. It’s a great saw for the price. Thanks for the feedback
This is i crappy product. Its not a big job to do it the right way
I have found this worked very well. Saved me lots of money and time.
Thanks, man!
Thanks, man!
Is that still working ??
Was still working great. Have sold the car now. Worked great and still going strong when I sold it
Cheers ty, built my confidence to do my brakes today cheers. Do you have a video for rocker cover gasket replacement? 1 HZ?
I have a 1hdt but have not had to do that yet. My videos are what I have had to fix. And put up to assist others. Cheers.
Thank you great descriptions
Thanks for the feedback I’m glad you enjoyed the video.
How you charging this battery chainsaw in forest??? Yoi bring Honda fuel petrol aggregator?
I only use this for the weekend I take 2 battery’s which is enough to cut firewood the. Charge at home
More & more of us are now using EV's which have vehicle to load capability. So really no problems with charging batteries. Just need 2 batteries & you're good to go all day 😊
Battery Stihl not good work in forest very early low battery crasg die. I have Stihl 880 and Stihl 171 Stihl FS560 Stihl HS45 not random I not use battery Stihl! Because energy not enough áll work only enough 18-20 minutes and need charging
I only use the battery saw for firewood camping and light track clearing. I also have 3 petrol saws that I use for bigger work.
P r o m o s m
Thanks to your video replacing my drivers side strip was only a 5 minute job, only did the one as the rubber had completely failed. I managed to get a full set of chinese knock off's for under $120 and they were surprisingly good quality. Will be replacing the rest on my next day off.
Glad it went well for you
Is that your Aussie Idol demo tape😁
😂😂😂😂possibly
Cheers for the video. I am currently in the middle of ignition lock assembly and starter switch replacement DIY and I am the original owner of a 1996 80 1fzfe GXL. Just installed all new Toyota steering ignition lock assembly and main starter switch, but still no power to ignition even though all installed . The reason is, I F'd up and tried to bridge the old switch during disassembly and think that I shorted something . Hmm yeh kicking myself. Anyway I created a new problem when disassembling the original when I tried to affix the starter switch " with cable ties of course" to the neck of the exterior neck of the ignition shaft lock assembly near where the key hole is. The original fault was a snapped steel key shaft within the steering lock assembly shaft/brace, it snapped at the switch end. Anyway I noted that if you removed the switch and kept the two exterior key sensor wires attached you can activate the vehicle. And I started it and and restarted multiple times in the shed. Then I thought if I could attach the switch where I could access it So I could drive it .Anyway I must have either stretched or Earthed a wire to an earthed metal surface. and accidentally earthed "some portion of the wiring and now now power except for a red tight in dash. But nothing on instrument panel (other than the red single light top right of panel assembly. So now after installing brand new switch Toyota Japan and lock assembly , all Installed OK but the same problem of no power, except the single red light in the instrument panel top right. The head light work and the open door indicator in the instrument panel works but nothing else when I turn th ekey. I suspect it could be an easy fix like a fusible link that I had no Idea of it other than I suspected there would be a trip , weak point. I'll give it a go. Any suggestions of other things I I may look at. Cheers Phillip
Good looks
Thanks

Stick to 80s!
Now i see the grease😅
Seems like a lot more work I don't know. Cool idea tho I guess .
Why didn't you put grease back on it ?
Where is it?
Abbots falls, Watagans state Forrest, Australia.
@@blackllama1 thanks!
The bottom shock bolt snapped off on me……a real pain in the ass!!! A 2 day drill/thread chaser job. The previous mechanic put red loctite on the bolt. Not fun. Great video and thanks for posting. I got the lower shock bolt sorted eventually. The torque on that bottom shock bolt is 51ft/lbs per the FSM.
Oh no. What a pain. Red loctite has its uses. That is not one of them. I’m glad that you got it sorted.
@@blackllama1 yes, definitely something for once in a lifetime. Even liberal amounts of PBlaster didn’t work.
Oh 14th 🎉
That little black grommet supplied in the kit is does that need to be used,as the boot it self looks tight enough to secure ti the shaft
It depends on the size of your shaft. It’s a universal kit
I have the same tent. I left it pitched up in my backyard during 2 solid days of heavy rain. It was completely dry inside the tent following the rain event. It is a solid tent for the price.
I agree. A great tent for the money
Where did you buy?
I need an air gun . I have a mini air compressor in my 80 I pump my tyres with. Can you buy the gun nozzle attachment? Thanks 🙏
Hi yes you can buy different attachments. Most tool shops stock them. Just make sure you get the correct air fitting to go with it. One that matches your system. Most good tool shops will be able to help you with this.
