My self I use mastodon, as I'm not joining bluesky not saying anything bad about it as it's pretty new as long people are happy going there, but over all general people like drama they like doing it on twitter as people who do content or make a living end up going back twitter due to more eyes.
I will definitely end up visiting Bluesky more. I’m just going to use Twitter for announcements and dumb posts.
Hi! I'm mostly aiming to publish my art on Newgrounds, but I'm considering posting my art to another place as well to avoid putting all my eggs in one basket, and I'm thinking of here. I find it neat that you can customize and add stamps to your profile--in addition to being able to open or close comments. I just have one question: can you moderate comments on your artworks by deleting them yourself, or is there a way to report trolling, non-constructive comments like on Newgrounds? Thanks for the video!
You can definitely report them to the newgrounds team. As for moderating yourself, I don't you can, but I have not encountered any issues with trolls on the platform so it should be okay!
@@TheAngelDragon Oh, I'm a little confused if you're talking about Newgrounds or Sheezy about the self-moderating part. 😅 I know that you can only report comments on Newgrounds through blowing a 'whistle' (from my understanding). Are you saying is that you can only report abusive comments on Sheezy, or can you hide/delete comments yourself on there?
Thanks for the overview!
Great video, thank you! Also, fellow 2000s kid reporting in~ (^^)/ Which place do you get the most human interactions on (comments, discussion, requests, etc)? That's what I felt truly got robbed from us with the death of pre-Eclipse etc deviantArt, that being the bustling interactive community.
Damn I'm glad I deleted my deviantarts account in 2013 which I'm sure glad some users from know your meme bullied me to quit drawing at such a right time!
I'm glad that Procreate's CEO is taking a stand for human artists. I personally do not have anything against A.I., but I despise that it is being used to replace people who are passionate of what they work so hard on. Most companies nowadays should learn a thing or two from this.
Current AI is too primitive to (truly) replace people
I bet this can make deviantart goes bankrupt(and probably the only way deviantart can avoid the chopping block was: wins Pyrrhic victory on the lawsuit) and will spell the silver lining on the dead internet thingy DreamUp scrape even fill-in memes using copyrighted pics that deviantart users posted into their platforms did help make deviantart got sued
I joined deviantart in 2008 where back then, Deviantart is much better than today one(even when I was more immature person(whose drawing skills aren't as good as my current self) back then) from old deviantart has good and supportive community, among others At the time of myself got harassed by hungarian (probable)Kiwifarms-using Rationalwiki user for my fan ideas slapping IRL conspiracy theories into massive multifandom crossover, Deviantart got bought by Wix(where this buyout did reinforces *Dead internet theory* not only Wix is also AI company) where it's engine are too shallow for classic Deviantart so eclipse make deviantart worst website ever Not to mention Fill-in memes(in good artsites, this is undeniably more of a copyright infringement than fanarts that drawn from scratch, unless using pictures that users drawn from scratch), hate arts, rampant Cyberbullying, and Spambots outnumber living users that active in deviantart currently did make deviantart goes to hell don't get me wrong, DeviantArt(back when it's good) did make me draw better, and I got bunch of online friends from this site, even when fair amount of them did left deviantart for better or worse
Old DeviantArt had its own unique charm. <3

Cara also has a bit of DeviantArt sprinkled on it. This app seems promising, I might create an account there in the future.
Since nightshade only accepts one tag, so it only changes one subject from the art, I have a question. Can you use nightshade again on the image you already used it before? Like, if you already changed a part of the art, can you use the nightshaded image on nightshade again to change some more parts of the art to have more different parts or it would work?
I would cut original image to separate subjects, run each one sepertly through nightshade and then marge them together, it may take long but should work good. In nightshade 2.0 they should ad option to select every subject on art and tag them individualy.
@@Yoh98 that's a good idea, the bad thing is that nightshade takes 6 hours to run on an image here =\ if it wasn't for that I'd do it, when I manage to afford a better pc I'll definitely do it, thanks for the tip :)
@@KywokiYakasaki They also mentioned that in the future they will ad nightshade as plugin to webglaze, so maybe before you buy better pc you'll be able to make it faster this way.
@@Yoh98 yeah I've heard about that, bur unfortunately the web version only allows a limited number of use, and as of what I know you can't select the intensity of the protection, so I'll keep using it on a pc before I can afford a new one, I think it will take maybe 2 years until I get a better one.
is thhis transparent?
yes

The problem with any art related platform at the moment (apart from the AI-pocalypse going on virtually all of them) is trying to get any kind of engagement. Back around 2008/2009 seemed to be a peak for comments and general engagement on sites such as Deviantart and elsewhere, I have been on there for 20+ years and have really begun to notice the significant change in how people use the site, and unfortunately hardly any comments......
One person once told me that cameras were initially considered the worst thing to happen to art. This was because cameras captured the art present in the real world, and many artists really hated this intrusion. However, as years went by, people had to accept this new technology and move on. Eventually, instead of hating it, they decided to give it a shot. The more they learned how to use cameras, the more they realized the potential they offered. The idea here is that new things constantly emerge in our world. You may hate or love these innovations, but it’s up to all of us to handle them. Whether they are meant for destruction or a way to be more creative depends on our approach. Even if AI is taking images (which is ironic considering data theft from many apps, but people don’t seem to care), it’s used to train models to become unique. The power of AI is such that it almost feels like talking to a human. Besides, why spend hundreds of dollars or even less, but still a significant amount, just for one piece of art? There could even be an idea for AI art to help structure your own art. You might say, "I don't need AI to help me," but that’s just being arrogant instead of being smart and giving it a try to see the possibilities. It’s also ironic to say AI art is not real art or not human art, despite the fact that it is created by humans anyway. This version maintains the essence of your original message while improving clarity, coherence, and flow.
why are you guys crying over this, you know its inevitable, just post normally and just Ignore the AI stuff, if anything, use AI to help you instead of Ignoring, all you are doing is just making yourself feeling the Pain, no matter where you post the image in a certain website, it will still be taken, does not matter at all, just Post images normally and call it "Human Art" if that makes you feel better
Helps alot. Thank you. This works well in version 4.3.1 And use this command to install 4.3.1 version " conda install -c conda-forge ffmpeg=4.3.1 " instead of " conda install -c conda-forge ffmpeg "
They don't want you sharing "your" art anymore, anywhere. Everything is being geared completely towards AI art, I could see this particularly with Deviantart as soon as it started its own in-house AI art generator (Dream up), they have seen an enormous increase in paid accounts trying to sell AI art, and therefore it seems as though the platform is popular and is of course making money from the memberships and sales. Other platforms tried to go the same way with promoting AI art, except in some cases there was a massive push back - for example Artstation - and they had to back down. The fact is that one by one, Tumblr, Pinterest, Flickr etc have all tried to get rid of my traditional pencil drawings and I have had to personally fight to keep my art on those platforms, but of course any AI art is ok with them - they just want to push out any actual human produced art. I am not sure you can recommend any current platform and it is very sad to say this, but hardly anyone seems to comment these days, just go back to 2008/2009 which was to me was the peak of the internet, people commented regularly - but now its just a ghost town for artists.....

@@NoahtheGameplayer You didn't by any chance use "ChatGPT" to write this comment did you ? it just seems like such a fluff piece for AI art.
There isn't an option where they grab idk My DeviantArt Gallery (description, tags, etc) directly there? Do I have to copy paste everything?
This is going to take very little time before the training improves to detect this. I guess we have yet another cat and mouse game. Wouldn't a meta tag signifying you don't want your picture to be used for training be better (legally speaking)?
Honestly, the best way to counter this exploitation is on the legal side where the law should be on the side of artists and the little guy.
Your voice reminds me of one of my favorite childhood minecraft youtubers (stampycat,) so I find it very nice to listen to. Calming, even!
Itaku is awesome but certainly struggles with a lack of popularity but feature-wise it has practically everything I can wish for. Tags, gallery mode, flexible blacklist, open API - not every twitter contender was able to reach this level of QoL.
In addition of time of effort, we have to use tool to protect at cost of image quality. Why they won't leave artists alone?
No respect, no empathy, laziness, and desire to exploit the hard work of people for free. One AI weirdo literally called me an art fascist after I said in the comments that artists have the right to protect their artwork.
@@The_I_of_the_Angel333 you can tell AI prompters right away when they curse at you for pointing out the obvious.
When you mean data isn’t safe, that doesn’t include like home addresses right?
Why would you want them to hide that they are partnering with AI companies? So you can be upset later at them NOT TELLING you they partnered with an AI company? You sound offended.
Amazing missing the point, people are upset because they are selling the art to AI companies in the first place.
@@TheAngelDragon I absolutely did not miss your point. If you had read the terms when you signed up for the platform you would already know that anything you publish to tumblr becomes the property of tumblr. However you want to be mad because they are selling it without "your permission" but they provide you with an opt-out. That's more than anyone in the social media space offers at the moment. You absolutely sounded more disgusted by them telling you about it. You can delete your account and move to another platform but there is no safe place that doesn't take possession of your words when you post them. TH-cam does it, Twitter does it, Reddit does it. It's a big nothing burger.
@@eyevou Yes, if I upload pikachu to tumblr, Pikachu becomes property of tumblr. 😂
@@TheAngelDragon Owning the context of a post and owning the IP of a character in a picture in a post are two very different things. I get that you're too young to make the distinction but just take this away from our conversation: Tumblr aren't the devil you're making them out to be. You can literally OPT-OUT of your posts being used as training data. You can't OPT-OUT of google using your data for ads here on youtube.
@@eyevou You literally said, “anything”. Now you want to backtrack and resorting to ad hominem. 😂 You are still missing the point here - people do not want Tumblr to sell their work to AI companies in the first place. Laws were written before AI existed. Just because it can be done doesn’t mean it should be.
I'm curious about the WordPress part of this. I can't find anyone digging into that side. WordPress is a tool to help make your own website on a server you own. You aren't storing data on WordPress's servers. So selling WordPress stuff sounds like they're pushing some sort of virus onto people's own websites
I see this as an opportunity... as a near-guaranteed way to be able to poison their AI models via (glaze/nightshade)
