🌸 Daily life vlog ~ living abroad in Egypt. I’m a creative online business owner, wife, mom and travel-loving foodie who left Canada in pursuit of a more quiet & peaceful life. My hubby & I sold everything we had and moved across the world to create a more fulfilling, relaxed (& less expensive) life by the sea in sunny Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt. ☀️
A bit about me...
• Born in Serbia, lived in Toronto, Canada most of my life
• Left corporate career in HR Management to focus on business
• Co-founder of online digital marketing, web & graphic design agency (which I operate with my hubby)
• The hats I wear: content creator, social media manager, graphic designer, project manager, marketing director, client relations, photographer
• Current personal projects: building online shop, blog, TH-cam, children's book and myself (forever ongoing)
Ultimate goals ~ Create my best life and the best version of myself while striving for freedom of time and inner peace. ✨

Hmm, at last I'm reassured of coming to Egypt. My boss is Egyptian, i tend to shy away due to the negative reviews i see in the Internet. But then. I have more research to do then. Great work i most appreciate this.
I’m Serbian Canadian that lived in UAE and now going back to the desert. Canada is sooo expensive. It’s like living in a two ** hotel and paying for 5*.😅 I loved those sandwiches.
Hahah Ćao!! That’s the best description of Canada I have ever heard 😂 and I think you’re the first Serb to comment on my videos (you deserve one of those sandwiches 😁). I got married in UAE and my husband lived there for 6 years. Hope to go back again soon for a visit. At least there you get the 5* you pay for lol. Thanks for watching 🙌🏽
Aww ur daughter did so well😍😍Nice vlog and Thanks for sharing ❤️❤️
Thank you so much! 🙏🏽 I'm so proud of her. ❤️
You are so beautiful ❤
Really enjoyed this video 😁❤️❤️ am glad I bump into your channel bcz it's wat I have been looking for especially now dat i want to relocate to Egypt. Please keep the videos coming 😄

I love California and have lived here most of my life, except for a junior year abroad in Cairo about 30 years ago. I'm considering retiring (5 or 10 years) maybe Sharm maybe Alexandria. Your videos are encouraging. Keep up the great work!
Sharm el Sheikh is a really nice balance of a chill and laid back lifestyle during the day with a fun and vibrant nightlife (cafes, restaurants, shops open late etc). It’s clean, inexpensive (if you have foreign funds), very safe and the weather is amazing. It’s very hot in July and Aug but with all the pools and beaches, we manage. It’s also very easy to fly to many other countries, so you can get away from the heat if you like. Only thing lacking here for now I’d say are big brand shops for clothing and shoes. Personally I didn’t care for brands too much so I’m good lol but if I really need something, Cairo has everything so we sometimes drive there to shop. Tap water is questionable though, so we use bottled or if you own an apartment or house, you can install water filtration systems which are incredibly good here, and then you can use the tap water. Sharm is continuously improving, even in the 3 years I’ve been here it’s changed in so many (amazing) ways…so I’m hoping they’ll sort out the water issue at some point as well. Many people retire here btw, particularly those from the UK, Italy, Germany, and other European counties. Thanks so much for watching!! I appreciate it and I hope you get to fulfill your retirement plans 🙏🏽😊
Hardees and Carl's junior are the same thing and yes they are all over North America
In Toronto we didn’t have Carl’s Junior but I know it’s in the States. I didn’t realize they were the same thing until a few people mentioned it here. Thanks :)
@sanjasalemcreates we do in Vancouver, it might be an east coast thing
thanks, I live in Sharm currently and it was good to be able to share this video with friends around the world to give them a different insight to life here
Hello fellow Sharmer! Nice to have someone from here visiting my channel. Thanks so much for sharing my content and the support. Hope to show more of this beautifully magical place 😍
Yes Hardee's is an American chain
Do they celebrate Christmas on Dec 9 in Sharm? What happens to Dec 25?
Coptic and Orthodox Christians celebrate on Jan 7. Typically it’s foreigners here who are Christian/Catholic who observe on Dec 25. But the festivities, decorations, events are on from mid/late Nov until the end I January.
Your accent pushed me to make subscribe for your channel
So clear, helps me practice listening 😅
Oh thank you! That’s really wonderful. I appreciate the subscription and kind comment 😊
The majority of Egyptians celebrate christmas not only christians
This is what I said 😊 thanks for watching.
Nice❤

7:00 Not true: the vast majority of Egyptians are suffering from the current economic downturn and the devaluation of EGP vs USD. Life in New Cairo areas DOESN’T reflect life in the rest of Cairo or the country
Which part isn’t true? I don’t recall saying that New Cairo represents life in the whole country.
Great video, however, Giza is a part of Cairo, just like Zamalek, Mohandessin, Ma'adi, etc., etc. We love it that you care so much for the animals. We did the same when we lived in Cairo which was years ago.
@@renataostertag6051 thanks so much. Animals are the greatest, aren’t they? ☺️ One note on Giza, it is part of the Greater Cairo metropolitan area but it is not part of Cairo the city as it is a city of its own and the capital of the Giza Governorate. Many people that I have met think that the Pyramids are located in Cairo (the city). Zamalek and Maadi are both part of the Cairo Governorate but Mohandessin is part of Giza. So perhaps you were referring to Greater Cairo but I was referring to Cairo, the city in the video. Thanks again for watching 🙏🏽
You are correct Even some Egyptians still mixing up 👍@@sanjasalemcreates
I'm from GIza and no, Giza is not Cairo.
@@Amghannam Giza is part of Greater Cairo, not Cairo Governorate.
@@khaledaboun-nasr569 Greater Cairo, sure, but not Cairo.
Was Great stuff
@@SayedSayed-mv9jp thank you 😊
I like your channel. It is a different genre than the channels that are promoting tourism. I consider your channel as a perspective of a Canadian resident who moved back to Egypt. It is of interest to me because I am too considering the same move. Do not get frustrated by some of the negative comments. Keep your valuable presentation. I like the perspective by which you see Egypt. Our perspectives shape our perception. الزعيم المصري مصطفى كامل له مقولة مأثورة "لو لم أكن مصريا لوددت أن أكون مصريا".
Thank you so much for your kind words and support. I really appreciate it 🙏🏽 The perspective you mentioned is exactly what I wish to share. I know Egypt isn’t for everyone but many people I know are considering or thinking about moving out of Canada or US, to pretty much anywhere else lol so I thought there might be some value and encouragement to show people who are thinking about an overseas move that you can have a fantastic life away from the West, if one so chooses (even in Egypt 😍).
@@sanjasalemcreates The news about Egypt is getting better every day. Egypt is coming back to life. It is the center of civilization. It is difficult to imagine our earth without the Egyptian civilization in play. Egyptians are builders whereas other advanced civilizations are destroying ethics and family. Egypt is building a strong human resources and building cities in the desert whereas Canada with its vast fertile land has remained 40 million despite decades of influx of immigration. Egypt is an example of thriving building civilization vibrant with ethical family values. It has gone in slumber for a few decades but it is coming back now with a lot of moral strength. Everyone who persevered in Egypt and still holding the sign of "Welcome" high will be proud of Egypt in the future.
@ beautifully said 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
You are truly wonderful, because all the tourists who come to Egypt show the bad side, and this exists in all countries of the world, and I thought that they were distorting the image of Egypt and making Egyptians appear backward. Welcome to Egypt, and enjoy you and your family a wonderful time.+ I'm following you ❤❤
Oh thanks so much for such a kind comment and for the follow. I really appreciate it 🙏🏽 I think every place has good and bad, I truly don’t know anywhere that’s perfect. But Egypt has been so good to me, as well as the Egyptian people, so I will always have more good things to say, than not. Thanks again and God bless 🥰
@sanjasalemcreates you deserve more followers because you're content is wonderful

Welcome to Sharm El Sheikh🇪🇬😍
Thank you 😊
Great videos! I’m hoping to spend a lot of time in Egypt sometime soon. Ironically I don’t have an interest in being in the locations you’re showing lol (I live in Arizona and there are LOTS of places that look exactly like the places you’ve shown on your channel). Nonetheless I love being able to see the REALITY and full spectrum of any place. Great channel. Keep it coming. I subscribed ✌🏼 ☺️
Thanks so much! 🙏🏽 I completely understand and I too like to go to places that look different than where I’m from when I travel 😄 I wanted a show a side that many don’t think even exists here, while also showing what life is like for someone living abroad and working online. There’s a lot of assumptions when it comes to the Middle East and stereotypes which I hope to break (one subscriber at a time lol). I appreciate the comment and the subscription!
@ Ya I have always wanted to break the singular stereotypes that people have in their minds about places as well. The image people have of different places might be true (although sometimes it’s TOTALLY wrong) but there’s always many other sides AS WELL. It’s neat that you have such a great opportunity and platform to show people. I’ve sent a couple of your videos to a few of my friends and family. Great stuff!:)
Thank you so much! I really appreciate the support 🙏🏽😊
Welcome to Egypt ❤
Thank you 🙏🏽
You keep comparing prices between Canada and Egypt, that is not apple to apple comparison because the income is different, income what drives prices. You showing the bright side of Egypt, that is fine, I have friends who visited Egypt and could not stand it for a single day before running away out of Cairo or cutting their trip short, Egypt got pollution, highest rate sexual harassment in Middle Easy, over populated, low quality schools and not much of future for a new graduate, religion driven people and community. I see you put yourself in some kind of shell out of all of that, this is fine too but this is the exemption and not the rule. When your husband ran away from Egypt to Canada, he did it because Egypt was save, cheap, and amazing school, same applies to you when your family ran away from Serbia saving you, it does not hurt at all if you show some appreciation to Canada that made you, your husband, and kids to what you are today. If you could not make yourself in Canada, Canada not to be blamed because many many others made it big in Canada.
What makes you think anyone ran away from anywhere or that we didn’t make it in Canada? You don’t know me or my family. You come here to pass judgement on my family and my life and about Egypt which you clearly haven’t stepped foot in. Canada didn’t make me. My hard work made me. My values and ethnics and determination made me. God made me. Do you feel good about yourself? Coming on a complete stranger’s channel to disrespect them and their life which you know nothing about? Please take your negativity and rudeness elsewhere.
I love this thank you so much for sharing

Thank you 🙏🏽
I’m shocked and I’m Egyptian! I emigrated to Canada in the sixties, I guess I should go back for a visit. Thanks for this enlightening video.
Thanks so much for watching 🙏🏽 there is another person from the US who commented on my videos and said he hasn’t been in 43 years and is taking his family soon. Egypt has changed a lot and sure there are areas that are still rough around the edges but there are so many new things too. Where I live in Sharm el Sheikh for example is unrecognizable from when I came here in 2021, to now. Ever mind since the 60’s. Likewise with New Cairo and many other places. I hope you manage a trip back 😊
