    was curious about the round trip latency with using software monitoring with studio one?? I know my now non working MOTU is a hair too slow for me (1.64ms).. Other conceren for me is that this UA solo does not have a midi keybord input... limited to usb 2 with what I had.. and that also a hair too slow.. occasional clicks are unacceptable as I just want to play piano or wurly etc as if its the real deal!! Also I beleve this unit does work with a PC (pretty good one) which is all I currently have.. One day I plan on M2 or better mac mini.

    Kind of a silly question, but with this setup, is it possible to use both in-ears AND monitor speakers?

    Is the sd8 unit necessary? We are running 2 guitars, bass and some back tracks. Not sure how the sd8 is integrated. What unit does the instruments plug in to? Patch bay?

    • @Damo_Drummer
      @Damo_Drummer 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The X32 rack supports 32 channels (38 technically, but assume 32 for this discussion), but only accommodates 16 XLR inputs, which are on the back. You can incorporate something like an SD8 (using an AES50 connection) To add more XLR inputs, and also outputs. In your case, unless you require more than 16 XLR inputs, you won't need the SD8. If you did add an SD8, then channels 1-16 would still be connected through to the back of your X32 rack, and channels 17-24 would be connected via the SD8.

    I use the SPD SX Pro as a multi channel computer interface and have also some Kits with the same backing tracks for a backup as you describe, the computer never crashes and the backup kits work also very well. You could also assign the tracks to separate outputs to change volume or mute them on the mixing board instead of using the editor and make those changes for each kit.

    Y- Split is really bad for Mic signals. For Line Level it's fine unless you get ground issues, then you're f*****. So always go with transformer isolated splits.

    • @Bent6
      @Bent6 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Isolated splits are needed for truly independent monitors. Otherwise, when a mic pre is adjusted at FOH (or monitors) , it changes the loading of the mic causing level changes and tonal shifts.

    Thanks! We spent 3 years and $$$ developing ours. We did start with the P16 personal mixers; now using iPhone or iPad apps for our Behringer XR18 board. It is essential to include a router in the console (especially when you have wireless mics or other devices running on 2.4g) to prevent IEM and/or wireless mic dropouts.

    • @jedandclaire
      @jedandclaire 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the comment. We tried the app on Iphone for each player path but every gig their devices always had an issue. I think it was more user error on the band members part so we abandoned that and went with the P16s.

      It's a stand alone. It just plugs right into the wall. You can connect it to the computer if you want to, but it's typically used as a stand alone. You would just come out of your audio interface directly the Control 2 and then come out of the Control 2 directly to your monitors. You don't need to use it as an interface if you don't want to.

    • @soundchecktek
      @soundchecktek 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It should be. Just make sure you're sending enough signal to it from your audio interface. There are sensitivity buttons on the back of the Control. Just make sure you have that set to the right setting. Which ever setting gives you the best result.

    • @valentingheorghe1693
      @valentingheorghe1693 ปีที่แล้ว

      Connect your soundcard master/main stereo outputs to one of the stereo inputs of the controller, taking into consideration the type of output (balanced or unbalanced) you have on your soundcard and its nominal output level. I suggest you also read the user manual for Behringer Control2USB studio controller, to have a full understanding of its features and functionality.

    Rocket 88 was the very first ROCK-'N'-ROLL song. It was written while the band traveled the chitlin circuit in the early 50s. They were bored being on the road and decided to play a game and see what car they saw the most while driving. The car was a Rocket 88. One of the band members was Ike Turner and now you know the rest of the story
