Lovely Ryan, all the best to you and yours 😊
Merry Christmas and happy new year keep going Ryan your special love 😘🎄💗🍷👋👋👍
Merry Christmas Ryan good to see you again, all the best for the new year 😊
You too! I hope you are well
You may not have the bells and whistles of Stephen Ridley, but when you are good at what you do, you don’t need bells and whistles. Your skill will speak for itself. You could play in your underwear, and your skill will shine through.
@@A_Muzik that’s very kind of you thanks.
Truer words…
I hope 2025 will be your year. Merry Christmas Ryan & all the very best to you x
You too. Thanks for all your support thus year.
Very touching interpretation, Ryan! Have a lovely Christmas break and find some time to relax! 😊
Thanks, wishing you a wonderful christmas and a creative 2025!
Beautiful 😍
Another video on Scientologist Ridley
Thanks Ryan it's smashing 👍 merry Christmas to you and your family.👍💗🎄🍷
It’s lovely Ryan
Thats lovely ❤
I get him every advert, wish he would just go!
Me too! Sounds like many are exposing him
Delightful. & so is the music. Have a lovely Christmas. 🕊️🕯️
Any method that doesn't require aural skills and sight singing is a complete no from me, learning chords is a very small fraction of the picture.
@Hilary945 absolutely. I remember at college being thrown music left and right to accompany others. As a consequence I became very good at sight reading.
@ryantalksmusic-r4t I wrote my senior thesis about the Neuroscience of aural skills and sight singing, so when I hear some of these methods that are over priced and don't include it, I get concerned that people are getting ripped off.
The shouting is painful. I get that ad all the time and I don’t even play piano. It’s making me crazy.
Spot on
It really is a lovely intument. Wish id learn to play in my next life 👍😘🍷
Wonderful Ryan Thank you so much for the music.
Lovely Ryan
Thanks Ryan it's so good to hear you're playing.👍😘
Yes very busy with work. I appreciate your support.
Hope things go really well nest year. 👍🇬🇧🍷
Ive just be listening it lovely Ryan .the kids at school would love it.
A couple of things. In the first instance, there can be a lot of pretention among musicians. You, genuinely, for example, learn to play along with lots of popular music, on guitar, with 6-8 chords. However, that does not make you a professional guitarist; though you may be popular at parties. All that said, a guitar is a different instrument and, with the aid of a capo, you can use those same chord shapes in many different keys. The piano is different and everything i hear about this Ridley character makes me very suspicious. That said, i couldn't help notice that the advertisement at the end of this video was that very popular 4 chord/100 songs thing. So, rightly suspicious of the whole concept but happy to take his money. Just a bit short on the credibility factor, methinks.
Having TH-cam premium really helps not getting fed such obnoxious crap. Thank you for bringing this up!
That was lovely Ryan
I love it. A jaunty then a slow
Which should I do next?
I think you should do my personal favourite, inside out intro
Inside out is a movie just in case you don’t know what I mean
And can shout out me
It would make my day
Nice keep up the good work 👌
His style reminds me of "piano bar" playing. Not sure if they have this in the UK. But it is basically a bar where a performer plays a piano and sings popular songs, frequently by request and often mostly winging it. Just playing chords. It is like what is called"cowboy chords" on guitar. Really just a way to accompany a voice wirh some occasional flourishes It's fine but very, very basic really.
Well said. I've seen many people criticise the charlatan Ridley and all say the same thing. There is no substitution for hard work and time. If somthing is worth doing it takes time and dedication to master it. Anything which can be learned in five minutes will not have a lot of depth.Let's face it Ridley is only teaching how to debase something in an attempt to make money and he's not even doing that very well because almost everyone has seen through his inept presentation. He has however given a masterclass on how to be irritating.
Really really like this.. Please try Musica Universalis by Oldfield.
Good idea!
Stephen Ridley is an absolute shitpot. Ive spent the last week going through youtube watching his shorts and videos. Ive googled him and read a couple of magazine interviews with him and nothing adds up about this guy. Another piano teacher reacted to his masterclass and believed he has a music degree. I find that really difficult to believe as in one interview he claims to have stopped piano lessons at 15 as he found them boring and confusing. In a different article it says he went to the royal school of music and another music school in the states. 99% of his videos are mash up cover versions. He hits the keys as hard as he can and people seem impressed by that?! I really feel for people that get sucked in by him, part with thousands for what? Claiming that music theory doesnt matter and sheet music is all in Latin and hieroglyphics. Whaaat?? Another channel shared his masterclass and i got a few minute's in and im speechless. His idea of theory is no theory. If you get bored, go on his channel and watch a few vids and shorts and you'll see what i mean. Claiming that piano tutors actually hit pupils with a ruler is ridiculous-one of his reasons for following him. Ive been watching all of his stuff out of fascination to see how big the lies get 😂😂😂 edit: I just subbed to you by the way to see if I can get any tips. I write my own music.
Lies flutter on pretty wings, truth trudges in flapping boots but brings bread.
Not heard that saying before!
@@ryantalksmusic-r4t My own concoction - but something like it probably already existed. I think those of us who are legitimately involved in music and music teaching owe it to ourselves and others not to dignify charlatans like Ridley with professional respect. They don't deserve it.
I was curious about this "four chords can play any song" method, so I decided to try it as a joke...I'm a xylophonist, so I played the same 4 chords over and over on a glockenspiel as I sang, "Twinkle, twinkle, little star" along with it... 🤪🙄😂 Holy hell...It sounded like I threw a bunch of pots and pans down a staircase and yodeled to it! I dare all the musicians here to try this "method" on any musical instrument...I promise it will sound hilariously awful! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
thanks ! Bring us more!!! Incantations part 4...
I will try!
I'm loving this, it's EXQUISITELY performed and so delightfully soothing. (I've been enjoying it several times but realised I'd not commented.)
FYI, don't judge YOURSELF so negatively! Sounds great 👍🏼 🥳
I thought that was lovely & your voice was fine
Very unique--Nice to hear variations of one of my top 3 albums of all time Thanks!
