    Merry Christmas and happy holidays to everyone! While this year has been a challenging one, we are all lucky enough to be here, together, to celebrate our time together and to reflect on why our time together is so very important. To add to what we have all endured over the past year, I would like to tell you a little something about myself. I was paralyzed back in 1993 During memorial Day in a diving accident in the ocean as I hit a piece of drift wood in what can only be defined as a freak accident. I was 18 at the time and had my whole life in front of me and I was eager to take on the world. (No rocks in my pockets were needed during my injury.) I drowned and lucky, with the help of friends and bystanders, I was resituated and airlifted to a hospital in Camden New Jersey, where I spent the next nine months recovering from my injury. That recovery extends to this very day though and I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity to continue with my journey forward as a person who lives with a disability. It has been a very difficult journey to say the least, but through hard work and determination, I have achieved a level of success that seemed rather impossible so many years ago. I would also like to add that as a former educator, I have worked with many students with varying disabilities and I can honestly say that I do have some understanding as to what it's like to work with a student with autism. I know it isn't always easy and while each individual is unique in their level of disability, the reward of having the opportunity to overcome adversity and learning how to appreciate the little things while the rest of the world seemingly neglects what's most important, is truly a blessing to behold and cherished. For me, the Christmas spirit is something that I don't take for granted and it's a blessing every year for the opportunity to share in the tradition of the holiday spirit. So, Merry Christmas to all of you and may your New Year be one of many blessings and new opportunities for happiness, good health and prosperity. Thank you again for all of your hard work and dedication this past year and best of wishes to everyone in 2025!

    Yea. Kyle Larson owes me laundry money! 😆I was going to go with Joey as you know, and I should have gone with the gut. No, it's worse when you're 2nd place until the last race and then drop to 3rd. Talk about last picks? I'll end up with Hocevar. Or the turtle! Yea, Blaney took it pretty hard. Poor guy. Anyway, great show. See ya on the 20th. 🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁

    I'm actually glad that a race finally ended under the green without any cautions as the three best cars had to actually race for the win, albeit Byron wasn't going to catch either Logano or Blaney. Logano was lucky as all you know what for moving on after the Roval but hey, give credit where credit is due. He wheeled that car all day at Phoenix and definitely deserved the win. I think Blaney would have won had Larson not held him up for so long but hey, his teammate was in front of them , running in second at the time and that's racing! Good year, glad you got the final show in and Happy Birthday, Jon! Mine's during the week of Thanksgiving 🦃 so I'll take this lonely opportunity to wish myself a early Happy Birthday. Lol Have a great Thanksgiving, everyone and if I don't get to see y'all before the holidays, enjoy in good health and happiness! 🏁

    I'm Scott F-in Curlis and I have my Mellissa so I'm ready to take on Phoenix! Yes, two ll's and two ss's in Mellissa. 🤷 I'm sticking with Blaney today. He had a excellent practice and had it not for him getting a bit loose early during his qualifying run, I think he would have qualified well so I'm not that worried. Byron had great long run speed during practice and both Logano and Reddick did not. The good thing about Reddick is that all four drivers get first pick for a pit stall so if he can make the correct adjustments, he should be competitive for a top five for sure. Logano will lose this pit selection so that worries me. I like Jon's perspective, btw and I think you should get a T-shirt printed up saying on the front, "stay calm and have a cheese burger," and on the back print "and make sure to wipe your ass! " Lol I like it! Anyway, enjoy the race everyone and best of luck!

      @rozeAC The thing is, anyone can win the race so that makes it tougher when picking a winner, ya know? Bell, Larson and even Truex. Heck, even Hamlin had a very good practice. Truex could very well win as he had both good short and long run speed and he's the feel good story but.... Both he and his team always find a way to lose the race so can you trust him? But if they can click on all cylinders and eliminate the mistakes, he'll be a factor for sure. I actually picked Bell to win which Holly forgot to mention but I am going to take that as a omen not to use him. Lol it's really anyone's race to win though so just go with your gut. If only we had a crystal ball! Hahaha

    • @rozeAC
      @rozeAC หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@scottcurlis4893 Yes, all of that is true. It can be anyone who takes the checkered flag today. Chris Bell is very determined and like Holly said, he's miffed. I might rethink Blaney. lol

    Yes I agree that that Bryon was being protected because he was told that he could not afford to lose one more spot. Thanks for the picks. I post your show on X, my writers page, and FB. I'll start posting on insta gram. Don't know why I only said Larsen. I read the FB post wrong. I agree with you, Blaney, Bell. Reddick, not so sure. Anyway. C'ya at the races 🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁

  • @scottcurlis4893
    @scottcurlis4893 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Ok, ladies and gentlemen. It's our last race and this is for all of the marbles. Statistically, my rankings for the championship four drivers at Phoenix are 1. Blaney 2. Byron 3. Logano 4. Reddick. It was initially a tossup for me regarding my pick to win this year's championship as I originally had Christopher Bell winning it all. But Bell is out and I'm going to keep this nice and simple. He's extremely focused right now with a second place finish at Homestead and a win last week at Martinville and 6 top fives in the last seven races at Phoenix with a avg. finish of 4.1 during those seven races, I am picking Ryan Blaney to go back to back to win the 2024 Nascar Championship. Like l had Elliott initially penciled in for the win last week but ultimately went with Blaney for the win, I had Bell penciled in for the win this week. I really think he's going to be down from the events that transpired last week, but something tells me that the fire hasn't gone out and I am sticking with Christopher Bell for the bittersweet victory this week. Although, I think Kyle Larson will be on his horse and will be right there should Bell falter. So depending on practice and qualify, this may change. But I think it will come down to one of the two for the win. Recap is Blaney to win the championship and Bell to win this week's race. It's been a fun season and I appreciate everything that you Holly and Jon have done regarding your time and effort to provide all of us with this TH-cam channel. With all of the adversity that you both have faced this year, you kept us in the loop with your dedication to providing everyone with a quality product. Thank you also for allowing us to be a part of your family, short to speak and for giving people like myself, a place where we can interact on a weekly basis here on TH-cam with regards to a sport that we truly love. So, thank you and as always, good luck everyone this week and enjoy the race! P.S. I had to do one last edit for the fun of it. 😂

    I deleted my original post here as I just wanted to shorten things up. I still like Blaney for the win but with a better starting position and pit stall selection, I really like Chase Elliott's chances this weekend. Blaney had excellent long run speed though and I think he'll be in contention for the win if he stays out of trouble. Also, I'm sticking with my pick for Bell to advances based on points. He's got a fast car again this weekend and if he plays his cards right, he will be racing for a championship at Phoenix. Good luck everyone and enjoy the race!

    Who do I like and why for Martinsville? I'll go with Chris Bell this week for sure. I think he's going to race hard again because he needs a win, and he's been up there in the "almost took the checkered flag" position for the past few races. Time will tell 🙂

    • @scottcurlis4893
      @scottcurlis4893 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree with your pick as well. I'm picking Blaney to win but Bell needs points and to run up front. He's been arguably the best if not the most consistent driver during the playoffs so he should be there for a great finish if not the win! Good pick!!!

    Kyle, Kyle, Kyle. What kind of move was that? It literally cost him the race in my opinion and possibly , his chance to race for the championship. Martinsville. Race number 9 of the playoffs and the final race before the final at Phoenix. This is a race that is circled every year for Rick Hendrick and the Hendrick organization for a very sad reason unfortunately. With this in mind, the Hendrick Organization will be bringing their A game. I've had Chase Elliott penciled in for the win for quite some time but having to divide their resources between three cars will be difficult as will be the case for Gibbs who also has two cars in the mix. Where as, Team Penske can place all of their focus and resources on one car since Joey is already locked in and Cindric is out of the picture. With 17 races under his belt here, Blaney has a 8.8 avg. finish. Oh, and by the way, he's the defending race winner of this race last year. Thus, Ryan Blaney is my pick to win this week and Christopher Bell "should" points his way on to Phoenix but make no mistake, anything can happen. So, grab a Martinsville hotdog and enjoy the race everyone. This is going to be wild!

    Good show and let's go Yankees! I agree. I used to live and seemingly die with how my teams did and especially football where if my Giants lost, I was a moody and gloomy dude until Wednesday or Thursday. Not so much anymore though. I guess when we get older, we have learned to appreciate the things that are most important such as family, health and faith . Also, thank you for revealing to the world my true gender Joking of course as I got a pretty good chuckle from that. Lol Finally, isn't the 30th a big day this week?? So happy birthday, Holly and also, Happy Halloween everyone!!! P S. You both remind me of the couple played by Ty Burrell and Julie Bowen from the TV series Modern Family, sometimes. With Jon's voice and the back and forth conversations? Kinda funny! ** Update** Yankees aren't doing very well. Do you both like hockey? Lol

  • @scottcurlis4893
    @scottcurlis4893 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    First off, I hope all went well Jon! Yes, the tests do suck but they're a necessary evil, unfortunately. In this case, life can become a fuel mileage race, sort to speak and if you do what cha gotta do, you will be bringing that Pennzoil Ford on home to Victory Lane! Again, hope all went well!!! Now, on to Homestead. The numbers and current performance during the playoffs don't lie. Mr William Byron should be the favorite this week. One win and two top fives in the last three races here. Christopher Bell, Kyle Larson and Tyler Reddick should all have solid runs this weekend and considering how these playoffs have been going, it's anybody's guess really as to who will win. But Nascar isn't Fantasy racing and if you win, you are in the championship 4. Just ask Joey! So, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that with everything that has gone wrong during the playoffs for this particular driver such as a really, really bad game plan / strategy for Atlanta to terrible pitstops and a crash here and there. He even said it himself at one point that he just was mentally into it during a race a week or two ago! Ya wanna talk about a really bad sandwich?! Yet, he's still alive in the round of 8 with the possibility of making it to Phoenix. Somehow. So even though I've made a pretty strong case for why he shouldn't win, I'm going to go against my own conventional wisdom and pick Dennis Hamlin for the win this week. Homestead is a track that suits his driving style and he's not afraid of running up against the wall like you need to here. Another reason why I like Denny this week is tire conservation and management. This track requires it and he's arguably one of the best at it. And finally , his stats might not stand out in the next gen era here at Homestead but his overall career stats say that this is a good track for him. Dennis Hamlin for the win. Wouldn't that set up for a interesting race at Martinville?? - Mid tiered driver's to watch this week that I like are Alex Bowman and Ty Gibbs. - Lower tier drivers I'm picking are any of the three from Spire, being Justin Haley, Carson Hocevar and the 71 of Zane Smith. Good luck everyone and have a great week!

    Who do I like and why for the Homestead race? Tyler Reddick for the Homestead race. He's going to be determined to win this one after he rolled and wiped out in Talladega trying to squeeze past Elliot. I also think that Chris Bell will be a strong contender. But I'll say Tyler Reddick for the Homestead race.

    Can someone please explain to me why Nascar runs the Roval? Personally, it's the worst track on the schedule, let alone on a playoff elimination race. But it does have some beautifully painted corners where you can put three quarters of your car inside of the painted area, just not all four tires? 🤦 At this point, can we please just go to Phoenix already?? Anyway, that's my gripe and news for the week. Lol On to Sin City and we're down to eight drivers and I think there are three clear cut favorites this week. Those three happen to also be top tier drivers. Byron, Larson and Bell should be jockeying for the win. Mid pack drivers who I like this weekend aren't playoff contenders but I think they'll be in the mix for a top ten are Bubba Wallace, Brad Keselowski and Mr. Penalty, Alex "The Showman" Bowman. Lower tier drivers to watch for me personally, I'm looking at Carson Hocevar, and Noah Gragson but I'll also be keeping a close eye on the 71 car as he had good speed prior to the unpredictable Talladega and the Roval. But let's be serious here. I know he has had a bad opening race in the first two opening rounds but this is when the best need to be focused on the championship. Kyle Larson is unequivocally, the best driver in the sport and I believe he punches his ticket to Phoenix this week.Kyle Larson goes back to back and gets the win! Good luck everyone and have a great week!

    I have to admit that I didn't watch the race at Talladega because of a gut feeling that I wouldn't be happy with the results and I'm sure glad that I didn't. On to the Roval. Top tiered driver's that I like this week are Chase Elliott, William Byron and Christopher Bell. Mid tiered driver's on my radar are Chris Buescher, Tyler Reddick and Alex Bowman. Lower tiered picks are AJ Allmendinger if they put him in the good equipment and not the car that they gave him for the Glenn, (13 I think it was?) and Shane van Gisbergen. I think this is William Byron's week to shine but if I can pick two, my gut feeling is that Alex Bowman gets the win. 🤷 Good luck everyone and have a wonderful week! P.S. Kyle Bush has really good stats here. Could he be a factor this week, Holly?

    Good morning everyone from the garden state. Well, on to Talladega. The race that is deemed as to be as unpredictable as a race on the schedule can be. But, there are some top tier drivers that do speak to consistency. I think the two favorites this week have to be Ryan Blaney and William Byron, respectfully. Chase Elliott has been my default superspeedway driver and I think that trend of solid runs continues this week, barring the "big one." Mid pack, second tier guys that should be in the mix are Brad Keselowski and Bubba Wallace. Que Ross Chastain! He can run well on this track as can his teammate, The amigo, Daniel Suarez. Although Atlanta is Suarez's better of the three, he has improved tremendously at superspeedways and he just keeps hanging around this playoff season. 🤷 Lower tier drivers that I like this week are Todd Gilliland and Daniel Hemric. Risk versus reward drivers are Joey Logano, Denny Hamlin and Rickey Stenhouse. They run up front for a good portion of the race but do not always finish where they run for the majority of the race. Kyle Bush as been excellent on superspeedways this year as well. Although, his numbers aren't as strong at Talladega as they are for Daytona and Atlanta. But my pick to win this week is a bit of a gamble but hey, it's Talladega! You can run up front to stay away from the turmoil or hang in the back to try and play it safe. You have at times, 3 and four lanes to advance towards the front in a single lap and pit road issues are the least costly of any track on the circuit. I'm going off script here and if he ever has a chance to get a win this year, why not here. Forget the numbers in this case. Forget his issues on the track and forget his issues on pit road this year. Just focus on the win. He might not stand out in the win column but he's definitely not bad when it comes to this track type either. Thus and without further due, I am picking Martin Truex Jr for the win. 👍 Interesting tidbit of information. I believe Martin's last win in the Bush Series which is now Xfinity was at..... Talladega in 2006. Might want to double check that for me but I do believe I'm correct. Wouldn't it be something if Martin were to get his last career win in both Xfinity and Cup at Talladega!? I like it! 👍 Good luck everyone and happy October!!!

    On to Kansas. I feel like this is shaping up to be Team Hendrick vs all of the Toyota's. That means primarily, Larson vs Hamlin. Based off of this year's win at the first Kansas race, his win at Las Vegas and potential win at Texas had he not had a tire malfunction, Kyle Larson has to be the favorite for this weekend. But I'm willing to say that Denny Hamlin doesn't want to find himself in another situation like last week. In combination with his sample size on the aforementioned tracks as well with Kansas in particular, I am going to go against the most logical pick being Larson and instead, I am picking Denny Hamlin to win this week at Kansas. Just by his interviews alone, he's got a chip on his shoulder and a focus that you need this time of year. I'm rolling with Denny. My safe pick of the week has to be Christopher Bell. This guy has been as consistent as they come with top ten finishes in four of the last five races and a sixth place finish at the first Kansas race this year, I believe? I'm not sleeping on Chase Elliott this week either. I'm just not quite as confident in him as I am with Larson, Hamlin and Bell. I like Tyler Reddick, Alex Bowman and Bubba Wallace as well this week and if you are looking for a lower tier driver to roster, keep an eye out for Noah Gragson. Good luck and enjoy the racing!

    The show was funny as always and thanks for the picks and NASCAR news. And how about Melodies for the cutting down of trees, my generation, "they took paradise and put up a parking lot, oh sha sha sha." 😁And the Donavan song, "they call me mellow yellow, quite rightly." lol....😄Anyway, see ya at the races! 🏁🏁🏁🏁

    Who do I like and why for the Briston Under the Lights this Saturday? Chris Buescher. Why? He won at Bristol in 2022 and has three top eight finishes in his last four Bristol concrete races, per Y!-Sports. Some are saying Denny Hamlin, but that's never going to happen 😁

  • @scottcurlis4893

    What a weird weekend. 🤔 Beginning with qualifying and right on through the race. Some of the fantasy predictions lived up expectations while many did not. Well, on to Bristol, thank goodness! Oh, wait! It's the first of the elimination races at a half mile, high banked, bullring and some big names are in some big trouble. Que Michael Buffer's "Let's get ready to ruuuumble!" .Harrison Burton, Chase Brisco, Joey Logano and Chris Buescher have won the last four races? Well, Logano isn't or shouldn't be that much of a shocker but what is going on??? I can statistically say who should run well but, will they? So let's dive right into it. By the numbers, how can I deny Kyle Larson and Denny Hamlin as my top two, top tier, Group A drivers. Simply stated, they're the cream of the crop when it comes to Bristol. But I wouldn't count out Christopher Bell. He's sneaky good here. Group B drivers, I'm watching Brad Keselowski, Chris Buescher, Alex Bowman and Josh Berry. For my Group C tier drivers, I'm solely focusing on one driver and that's Chase Brisco.So, in conclusion, I just don't know what to expect this week out of our playoff drivers as a few should be playing it safe in order to gain some playoff points in order to advance to the next round. However, as for the aforementioned drivers above, both Keselowski and Hamlin have stumbled big time so far and I have little to zero confidence in Truex anymore. Logano is locked in and I think Bell, Cindric and Bowman will advance based on points. After that, we'll just have to wait and see but I think Denny Hamlin will race his way into the next round. Denny Hamlin is my pick to win. Good luck everyone and remember, this is a Saturday night race. Enjoy!

    Who do I like and why for the Go Bowling at the Glenn? Chase Elliott. Why? Because he's a seven-time road course winner, with good success at this track according to Copilot. 🙂 Or Kyle Larson. Why? Because he's won two of the last three races here according to the same source 🙂.

      Hey Roze, you got it right. Byron won the second Atlanta race last year. Suarez finished second in that race and won the first Atlanta this year. Good pick with Byron. He's among my top four to win this weekend and should have a strong showing. Good luck! 👍

    Good day to you all and happy Friday! I'm actually commenting before I ⌚ the episode this week as a update to my Monday 7am early thoughts regarding the rece for Atlanta. My pick to win is still Ryan Blaney. My two other top-tier drivers remain the same with regards to Denny Hamlin and Byron. I like Keselowski as well to have a good run as playoff drivers are concerned as well as Daniel Suarez, although, I'm going to fade him in my picks this week as I think he's going to be a trendy pick and I want to use Bubba as a group B type pick. I failed to mention Austin Cindric who I like a lot. Non playoff drivers that I like this week are Kyle Bush for a possible win, Bubba Wallace and Chris Buescher. And lower-tiered drivers of Harrison Burton and Cory LaJoie. In conclusion, I still am on the Harrison Burton train for a possible top ten finish this week!!!! Lastly, Michael McDowell for qualifying points if you have a group where bench players can get qualifying points but I'm not using him in my lineup. There, I said it and can now watch to compare notes. 🧐😄 Good luck everyone this week and enjoy the race!

      Thank you both for the compliments this week! Much appreciated. Hope I can live up to the hype!!! Lol Nice job with the show and I like how you have gone contrarian sort to speak with the Truex and Elliott picks. Why not in a race that is arguably the most unpredictable race in the first round of the playoffs. I think everyone who commented this week did a nice job as well. Jon, you look and sound like you're are feeling much bette Glad to see it and keep up the good work!🤞

    Who do I like and why for the Quaker State 400 Available at Walmart Race in Atlanta? Tyler Reddick or William Byron. Why? Because Tyler always has his eye on the prize, and William Byron won last year. 😃 So, we'll see.

    Well, it's close to seven am, Monday morning so, Happy Labor Day to y'all! I'm going to challenge myself here and get my Atlanta picks in super early (no pun intended) as I'm interested in seeing how they both age as the week goes on and if I change my mind several times before the first playoff race takes the green flag. Of the top-tier playoff drivers that I predict to finish well and bid for the win, I'm going with Blaney, Hamlin and Byron. These three for me should be the cream of the crop. But don't overlook Keselowski either. He just knows how to run these kind of races and should be strong.Two other playoff drivers who might be considered lower-tiered but I think by the numbers, should have a solid showing are Daniel Suarez and Austin Cindric. My shocker of a pick though and following up his first career win at Daytona, is Harrison Burton for a top ten finish! I can't believe I'm saying this. With regards to the first round of the playoffs, this should be his best showing, track wise. Non-playoff drivers who will run well will be Kyle Bush, Bubba Wallace and Chris Buescher. Digging deep into the standings, Cory LaJoie should be a solid pick this week. I'm sticking with Ryan Blaney ultimately for the win though but I will not be shocked one bit of Kyle Bush takes checkered flag! Enjoy your day off, everyone. Stay safe and have a wonderful week! I'm going to go make some coffee now. 😂

    Great show. As always, you two are so funny! You were wondering how Harrison Burton won the race. Well, at the last breath of a second, he got a push, but I don't know who it was. But that's what the booth guys said when it happened. So . . .anyway, thanks for the picks and Happy Labor Day! 💥💢💢💥💥

    Scott is reporting in! Lol Since I didn't get "who do you like and why" picks in for my favorite track, Darlington, im going to post my thoughts here. Hope thats ok?😄 I think it's a interesting note that I believe that over the last eight races at this track, we've had eight different winners. Crazy kinda stat but I think the favorites this week are favorites for a reason and I know we get tired of mentioning the same and rather redundant drivers but it should come down to Larson, Reddick and Hamlin. I'm pulling for Reddick to win the regular season championship but I think Larson gets it done. Larson for the win at Darlington. I also think that at a track where you race the trrack more than the competition most of the time, Gibbs should just play it safe and he'll be in the playoffs based on points. Buescher should and will race hard to gain as many points as possible so i like the 17 this week to have a strong showing as well as Wallace. Bubba runs well here but both he and Chastain need a win to get in, along with Kyle Bush and im just not confident that this will happen. A few drivers that im personally watching as far as a potential strong showing are josh Berry, Chase Brisco and Justin Hailey. I also like Byron this week as a safe pick and I desperately want to list Truex here but it just hasn't been clicking for him. So reminiscent of Jimmy Johnson and Kevin Harvicks final year of racing where one would expect a win but it just doesn't happen. Hope im wrong for my fellow New Jersian but 🤷. Difficult to pick or even think about Atlanta until Darlington has be run and the playoff picture has been set but by default, Ryan Blaney is my pick for Atlanta. I'm sure ill have more to add regarding Atlanta though. Enjoy your weekend, holiday and be safe!

    The show is back to normal! You both look and act healthy and like yourselves again! Glad see it👍 On to Daytona. The popular pick will probably be Denny Hamlin and Ryan Blaney for the top-tier guys along with Bubba Wallace as a mid-tier driver who has excellent stats for Daytona and Michael McDowell who runs well on the big tracks and can be a allocation saver in you need one. After all, it is Daytona.. Austin Cindric or Cory LaJoie perhaps? Logano has very good stats for Daytona but like Denny, he's a boom or bust driver, in my opinion so I view him as a very good but risky play. My Super Speedway driver by default is Chase Elliott and I really like him this week as a top five play. But, at a track where anyone has a chance to win because of the possibility of "the big one," I'm going with a under the radar pick to really shake up the playoff picture this week. Braxton finally gets to say that his dad won a race lol! Sooo, I am picking Kyle Bush for the win. Wouldn't that set up a interesting Labor Day Darlington race???? I think Chris Buescher has a bone to pick with the "Lady in Black." Good luck everyone and thank you both for all of your work and dedication. 👌
