2001-2007 Toyota Highlander Sunroof Leaking Into Cabin Easy Fix!
picked up this 06 Highlander as a winter beater and one of the issues was water leaking from the sunroof. these 4 drain hoses get clogged or disconnected easily. so my solution is to replace the lines with hose from the home depot and use hose clamps instead of spring clamps. I purchased 1/2" ID vinyl hose in the plumbing section $9 for 20'

I had water and corrosion in my sidemarker caused the bulb to stop working so I used a Autozone sidemarker instead of paying $4 $10 shipping for the Crown Automotive part total cost $3.78

Don't magnets mess up the screen?
New electronics are not effected by magnets. I've been using this thing for years without issues 👍
Good but for sure Neodymium magnet affects electronic parts..
Never had an issue! Still using this thing all these years later
i personally would use Velcro instead of magnets.

I legit used a hammer and bent it around a stair believe it or not 😂 I didn't have anywhere to bend it at the time I made this video. I actually still use this thing
I used a vise for the two bends, but looking to add a lip to hold ipad better.
Anything but an easy fix. My interior is not stripped out. Like normal cars.
Oh yeah it sucked for sure. I already had it apart to fully deep clean it and replace the headliner so it just worked out

GREAT INFO, I've got a 2013 highlander and short of removing the headliner, I couldn't find the back drain lines. So thank you for this very informative video with all interior trim and headliner removed

Yeah absolutely. I think the only thing I would maybe do is a better felt material on the outside but thats about it
man the idea is so good, you should sell it, i was looking for all the tablet holders for cars, and yours is actually the best i've seen so far

May wanna wrap the CD insert end with plastic or some rubber shrink.....the dust collected on my mount and the CD player got wrecked.

I just want to let you know that your guetto diy works flawless. It’s so perfect. I got the thicker metal plate and one like yours. I used the thicker to bend and the thinner between the case and iPad 7 gen for more contact and more secure. I did double on the wrap on top to have less movement . It’s awesome thanks for sharing.

Thank you!! It has no effect whatsoever on the tablet or vehicle radio! Modern electronics are no longer effected by magnets 👍

Do you know where the hose(?) drain(?) for the windshield is?? Driver side floor gets soaked when it rains. Help!!!
The front A pillars come off and there's hoses on both driver and passenger sides. That should be the drain your looking for! They just pop right off and you will see the hose running down

@@willrogers9066 it goes inside the fenders onto the ground
BUT inside the fender where the drain terminates is a "filter" that gets clogged after while and that is where the water pools and overflows, and then into the interior carpet
@@davidlindsey1835yes mines got muddy then proceeded to make a pool then into the carpet for about 9 months just fixed it clear the fender debris that drains onto the ground and ensure the hose isn’t clogged

OMG you just saved me $700!!! I went to Home Depot and dollar tree for materials. 20 minutes and $7.16 later I had exactly what I needed for our road trip. It would have been under $7 but I got a smaller nail plate to tape to the back of iPad. Thanks

just use adhesive tape double side. I just put the tape on my stereo , stuck my iPad on there and pressed the taped area fot 15-20 seconds and it stood there not wiggling. I even tested is yesterday and it worked.

I don't comment on videos often but I just have to say that I really like this. I was looking for a way to mount my tablet and still make it easy to take out and bring indoors and this was it. I made one after seeing your video and it works great in my Mercedes. It makes for a clean install and you can barely see the mount. Good job.

How do I bend it...
I used just a hammer and hit it on my concrete steps until it was flat. I don't have a bench vise but this worked perfectly fine

I'm doing the same to my daughter's jeep! How did you lift up the rear? Front i can see how you did it. Nice job! How stable is it with 24v and your daughter in it? Will stay together?
She rode in it for a few years before she outgrew it. It was only 12v. The rear was accomplished by using another donor Jeep body that I cut the section out of. They were made to stack together in the assembly plant so I just cut out the donor section and stacked it. Used some bolts and fender washers. Was really easy. Never had any problems with it
