Two of my older coworkers got out of Vietnam during this time. One of them escaped at night during a storm and was picked up by an American freighter. I feel lucky to have crossed paths with her! Tough lady.

Alzheimer's is a horrible disease! It’s worse for those that love them though near the end especially. My friends husband got diagnosed in 2019, he is already quite advanced. My friend and her children are having the hardest time, he’s just pretty unaware. The most evil disease is ALS! Mt friends son in law, only 34 just got diagnosed 5 months ago, with a one year old and a 3 year old. His mind will be completely perfect until the end, but completely unable to move ANYTHING! How horrific, trapped in your body yet unable to speak, eat, or move even your finger 😭 I pray they find a cure for ALS and Alzheimer’s!!! So many have suffered way too long!!! They spend more money making a little pill for a guy to have an erection than a cure for a REAL disease!

What if....... It was just the other way around.... ???? And She was a He ????? Will I be fit ? Will I be able to take care ????

Everything he said is all too true. It's a nasty, evil disease. It takes and takes until there's nothing left of the person that once was your loved one. It claimed my Mom's life on February 6th 2022. I miss her everyday Pray for a cure 💜🙏

My Maternal great grandma passed away from Alzeimers on April 12 2005 and now, her daughter, (my Grammy who is almost 82) has been diagnosed with mild approaching moderate Alzheimer's as of March 6, 2022..she is on Aricept now...right now, she is lucid and knows who I am, as well as my mom and her one remaining son (her oldest son my Uncle Mark passed away on April 6, 2021 of a heart attack at 59)

What's ironic about this The title says "City at the end of the road" Many moons ago on the spring of 1992, my graduation class picked the song by Boys to Men And their version of "So hard to say goodbye II Yesterday" The line in the song Says "I don't know where this road will lead" SR 24 goes to the end of the Street and you make a left, make your way to the beach and city park, or go around the "Big Dock" and make your way back out of town on 24, back to Bronson or perhaps Gainesville, in my case it was Ocala for 11 years, then moved back to my home state of Ohio I will always remember the interesting times of the five years I spent in Cedar Key

Buried my Daddy on St Pats day. It was a torturous 10 years for everyone, especially my Dad. My heart is shattered but he’s at peace. No more suffering. Myself and my mom were his caregivers. They were married 61 years. She is so broken.

Well Orlando wouldn't do a thing. They are a self caring community. I am happy to see community like yours still exists. I am actually looking into moving here
