all 3 of those boxes are for subwoofers. The box with the most accurate sound reproduction is the sealed box. I like sealed the most but they are the quietest. For example if you are listening to classical music you want a sealed enclosure. if you use a ported enclosure you will have to tune it to make sure the tones are accurate and the response is flat.

@@eezbestbro1943 that's not necessarily true. Sealed box can give decent sound reproduction, but so can any sealed enclosure. As long as you are using a good software to design it and you're not just using rule of thumb the entire time, you can come up with some extremely high-quality enclosures. I wouldn't put a sealed enclosure in any of my builds. Like you said, they aren't loud. The only time you can get a loud sealed is if it's a 4th order bandpass like you showed. Personally, I'm a fan of the 6th order bandpass enclosures.

​@SethH88 Bandpass isn't in the "SEALED" category just because one chamber is sealed. It's a box designed for only one note but at a high volume (20-37HZ). Sealed and ported have range but the sealed (NOT BANDPASS) is known for tight and accurate bass.

@@eezbestbro1943 The RMS does not determine box size! RMS stands for Root-Mean-Square. This is not used to design an enclosure. The RMS of the subwoofer has absolutely nothing to do with the enclosure! Dont get it confused! Because if this were true, you would have to build a different enclosure for the same subwoofer if you give it different amounts of power.

It doesn't matter. It does not matter where the port is as long as one side is ported and one side is sealed. You do realize that, right? It has absolutely no difference as long as it is still to spec. You didn't take anyone to "school". You simply blurted out your opinion of how it should be, with little to no indication of evidence as to how you come to that conclusion. If you want to scream on the internet about how an enclosure should be built, you need to at least understand the Box first. It does not matter which side it goes on. It doesn't take a professional in this field to understand this. As long as you keep in mind the displacement of the motor, it won't make any difference. Quit being a dumbass and thinking that you know everything, and besides, literally no one was arguing with you.

2 points. 1 is that you are wrong and 2 is that this box was built the way you are describing. I don't understand what you are so angry about.

the cabinet was built with a 35 dollar 3/4inch mdf board. only needed half of the board. also a few screws and some wood glue and some silicone. i would say about 50 dollars in materials. the black carpeting was 20 dollars per roll.

Hmm. I haven't made a subwoofer box for DJ equipment before. I'm not sure what brands they use but I know the box will have to be based on the speaker you buy. I'll let you know when I research some information.
