Classic TV and Films never gets old I've been watching on the buses for over 40 years and still makes me laugh now.
@@Thurlby99 Priceless…
this film was up on here for many yrs in good quality. but it was taken down :( has anyone got it that could put it up. there are many many people who want it back up on youtube. if you can upload it.....thx in advance. its a true classic.
@@waynecooney4643 I speak to the guy at BFI from time to time and I don’t think it’s going to be too long before this is released on one of the forthcoming volumes.
@@foxmulderGC yeah i think i asked them about 2 yrs ago. but even then they said it could come out soon. but that was 2 yrs ago. lets hope it is released.
I love this. And Rita Webb is another legend.
Growing up in the 70s the Series On the buses and the 3 films that followed like Steptoe and Son the series and the films like millions of our generation inspired us and never went away brilliant made cheeky comedy never affended people of multi culture society Not like certain TV series that were disrespectful to all cultures back in that dark era back in the 70s
Back when british comedy was great
my Favourite Part of the whole Dick Emery Railway Sketch was the Part at the end of the Sketch when Dick Emery played the part of his sister & they were throwing eggs & tomatoes at the commuters I have been to both of the Railway Stations that was used in the classic Dick Emery Sketch & when the semaphore signal suddenly went up to signal the train was approaching the station & Also the plant as well when Dick Emery said OY & the plant righted itself & the other part of the Sketch that was always very funny when he said that it was brought to my attention that someone did it while the train was in the station anymore of that & I shall have their legs nailed down a classic line from a classic Dick Emery Sketch
anyone know what happened to the 2 young actors in this great film?
@@TokyoJoe703 Michael Salmon only did this, Martin Murphy did a few programmes after but neither stayed in acting into adulthood.
I can confirm Catesby was indeed deep in the water and came home covered in mud. Coz that was my Dad. 😁
@@Cuteykate Hi Kate, that is amazing! It was an absolutely phenomenal performance by Stewart in this episode. Spookily, my Dad phoned me today asking me what the name of the episode was because he wanted to watch it. 😊
@@foxmulderGC There is a Polaroid somewhere of him coming out of the water. Came home saying”, I been in the Thames all day!” 🤣 Thanks for the video!
@@foxmulderGCAnd thanks for appreciating Dad’s work, I just heard your kind words at the beginning of the video! 🎭
@@Cuteykate Very welcome. Do you remember him playing a pirate rat in Box of Delights!?
@@foxmulderGC Vaguely, I was quite young, I’ve watched it since and his voice is unmistakeable. 🤣 I think Nick Berry was Rat 2.
Super job….i used to live im Stansted Mountfitchet and some of the episodes were shot there 👍

Thanks very much
Another belter. Thank you!
Thank you Eddie.
thy don't make them like that anymore ..
Amazing.
Awesome, one thing I noticed,Ian McShane was in Magnum, later in an episode he wears Magnums Detroit Tigers cap,was this from Tom Selleck ? or a weird crossover episode ?
@@markoconnor1186 Good spot. I can only guess, but would assume it would have been one of two things, either Tom Selleck gave it to him as a momentum or a young Ian ‘Borrowed it!’…
Another corker!
@@EddieRiff Thanks Eddie.
Love it, Love it, love it! One of the funniest shows I've ever seen.
I lived in Rayne most of my younger life. The cafe wasn’t actually demolished but was turned in to the houses seen in the “now” image. I did go in there many years ago, probably late 80’s!
Very cool.
That was low key pretty neat
it makes me happy that the trees are still there. does anyone live in that house?
I believe so.
This is TH-cam at its best. Giving a platform to someone creative and underfunded.
That's awesome. Thank you for this find. Only thing that has changed is the cars!!
They added "look right" at the zebra crossing.
*Albatross!*
Have you any film of the episode where a Mustang plane flies over as a bunch of Americans alight from a coach?
@@rogernorman2621 Second Fiddle? I’ve done the Felsham Interiors location but rest of the episode is on a very long ‘To do’ list…
brilliant that. not a lot has changed when was the original filmed.
@@fatlad5090 Thanks a lot. Yes, always great to see things looking pretty much the same. Quite a rare occurrence nowadays.
Great little video about a Classic TV show my go to place to escape this crazy world we now live in 👍
RIP Bob
I drove past the Pub, it is a very small village, I never stopped to have a look inside but must do one day. I am watching Series 2 at the moment and funny enough watched this episode tonight
Its full of yuppies now i think i prefer the Daleks myself.
Thanks for this video i love seeing old London locations because so much of the city i grew up in have been lost forever.
Where can we watch the episode please?
@@simonayordanova8788 Boxset, Britbox or ‘U’ (Free, once signed in). Can’t suggest an independent upload as it’s putting money in pockets of illegal uploaders.
Brilliant comedy. Only the English can write this well
I was an antique restorer in long melford when this was filmed Met all the cast I knew the bloke who love joy was based on also . They used his shop for filming they were almost identical to look at . Ian stayed at the bull hotel in melford . Good ol days
Where is this coach ?

@@namesake-uv8ug Yes, a class act to this day.
Good Lord, this is some phenomenal detective work. Hats off to you. Totally agree, in on the buses, because you’ve got so many other cast members you’re getting a funny line throughout the entire episode. Here, he is kind of flying solo but of course with two fine support actors. I certainly liked it and I laughed, that’s good British comedy. People may like to know that this wasn’t just a standard midweek programme ,this aired on a prime time Saturday evening. Cheers!
Great work. Very informative.
