    Hi M, did you book your flight from Santiago to Paris while you were on the Camino or before you walked? I'm trying to decide what to do! It's a bit overwhelming trying to plan everything!

    • @Walkwith_M
      @Walkwith_M 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@suecordell1996 hi Sue, I booked before I walked because it’s a popular exit - people fly out of Santiago a lot to get to their connecting flight home and the closer to the date of departure the more expensive it is. I would advise that you book a flexi flight out before you get on the pilgrimage. If you know you can do 20 km a day with a rest day here and there you know then your rough number of days. If it means you might have a night or two more in Santiago that is ok as so much to see in that city. If cost is not an issue book flight out of Santiago once you are on path but it does rack up the cost fast if you leave it later. Happy planning! It will be such a great trip. Don’t be stressed. It will work out. It’s part of the fun the planing. Always a solution.

    Such a lovely walk and those Dandenong ferns are truly stunning. I too keep on walking mainly in the Blue Mountains and around the east of Sydney. Doing at least 10,000 steps a day is helping keep my Camino alive for me. About the scones I completely agree, jam first and then cream. It just works so much better! Also, I’m pretty sure they were wallabies not kangaroos 😉 A great video thanks M.

      @@janehills7929 thanks Jane! Ah yes I have a lot to learn about the flora and fauna. I think wallabies are smaller than kangaroos so you are right. These ones are not big and they sit so still staring at you it’s so funny. Great for musical statues - winners. 10,000 steps a day is amazing. I find it hard to maintain. I am currently in your neighbourhood being NSW but more Perisher way.. will post on this walk soon! Thanks for watching. Jam first always! 😂

    Stuffed wombats? I want one 😂 There seem to be a lot of kangaroos in that area, I love it. But I'm a little disappointed, aren't there natural stuffed animals in that area? I mean koalas. Sorry, it's a little obsession from when I was a child and watched Mofli the koala cartoons.

      Good morning! I find myself being more selective with my time. I give a lot of weight for good friends who have been with me a long time, through thick and thin. There’s so much history to honour. And with newer friends, I give time to people who share common interests and have similar values. Nothing new there. At the heart of it, I support them by meeting up or attending the gatherings of people who make me feel good about life and me. Before the Camino I was doing too much stuff. In any case after a Camino, taking a quiet week out if you can, to process the journey a bit is essential. In the quiet you form what is important to you as next steps. A quiet mind is important to distil the important things.
