Thank you for this. It reminds me of mobile suit skirmish.
Hmmmm, I could imagine adding tanks ( T-80 MBT: armor 5+, LP 4, movement 3 inch, 125mm HE cannon = DmG D6-2, AP 1) , plus Infantry and airplanes (F-16, move: 12 ", armor -, etc.) and so on... A very good game! Im gonna try it out, thanks :D

How would you go about playing Macross VFs
@@krisloaf Hello! Do they have bases/Can you mount them on bases? Have you checked the Create your Unit doc and see if the weapons/upgrades match what they have?
So are a group of GMs going to be like thr Orks where they miss half the time or a group of guardsman where they're shit but a lot
Should consider making a more international friendly name Bardagulan is fun for us Pinoys but to the others baka di nila magets hhahaha
Can the funnels be deployed on elevated terrain for the shooting advantage?
Yes, they can be deployed on elevated terrain, but no, they won't get the benefit from it (for now). We don't want OP funnels that are inaccessible to Melee-focused mechs and so that has been the decision. However, taking the [Puppeteer] upgrade should help improve the accuracy of funnels. "[Puppeteer] Funnels have a Shooting or Fighting quality of 3+ (Choose and declare when revealing your datasheet). Each funnel reduces 2 HP from the unit’s total HP instead of 1 when destroyed."
@@DinoSerrthank you so much
Does this work like a chess board where there are tiles cause I wanna make a board with tiles to make it easier for me to move them
Right now, the game measures movement in inches but if you can adapt it to work on grids that would be awesome to see!
@@DinoSerr is there a specific size for the table or does it just depend on your table
Here are recommended table sizes: 22x30 inches, 4x2 feet, or bigger But it should be fine with whatever you have
Hi all! I corrected the link to the "Create your Units" document in the description
Can we use 100mm bases?
Yes
Honestly, after I built my first Gundam kit, I was so excited because I thought the model kits were action figures, like I mean, the kind are but after a Monday, I accidentally dropped it and it split in half just like how Gojo got split in half and after that, I never wanted to buy another one of those model kids
What's the footage at 9:45 from?
I use my hg gundam to make stop motion!
Imagine having a fast mecha and rolling a 5 on the dice 7 times
That’d be awful. Piloting each class has its pros and cons. Are you using enough terrain? Are you taking advantage of your movement range? If you’re piloting a Fast mech you should be taking cover and/or flanking. There are various factors but after years of play testing we’re happy with how Fast units perform. We will definitely continuously observe and try to further improve the experience. Fast units are also good at hit and run tactics also remember that you can consume all remaining movement after attacking. I’d like to invite you to try and play the game so you can see how it works. If anything is still unclear don’t hesitate to ask.
you need stat line for aglity ... theres no point using any thing fast because the awful save unless they also get a move and shot
That depends, are you not using enough terrain? Are you not taking advantage of your movement range? There are various factors but after years of play testing we’re happy with how Fast units perform. We will definitely continuously observe and try to further improve the experience. I have a question. With Machines such as the Gouf Custom. The Gatling shield is both defense, and a Ranged Weapon. But he also has a Sword, Heat wire, and Small 3 Barreled Vulcan Gun. That is 5 weapons, if the Shield was say a separate category from weapons, and was just "Shield" it would allow this suit to be played. He both gets defense, Gatling Gun, Vulcan Gun, Heat Wire, and Heat Sword.
Hello! For balancing reasons, currently you must only pick which 4 you want to take for your loadout in a battle.
Imagine the size of table you'd need to play with your 1/60 PG Gundams. Yeah, I want that now 😂
The DDS music makes all the difference <3
Ok, this looks awesome!
*Eyes his RE/100 Hamma-Hamma and sweats in trying to figure out how to stat that thing*
I've been looking for an easy table top game to play with my kids, and you've nailed it. Well done and thank you.
Did you take inspiration from Heavy Gear tabletop game?
No, sadly I don't know that ruleset but will check it out
This'll surely do!!! Well, until the *Plavsky* particle will eventually be invented 😁😁😁
This sounds fun
You cant boss us how to play our gunpla we play with joy
Can I expand on this? I’ll be adding a lot to the customization, and the battle phase. Oh I’ll also be adding phases like yugioh. (It’s not complicated. Pre phase, main phase, battle phase, and end phase) I’ll also be adding dice(specifically a d100, a d20, and a d12, along with using a d6 for a myriad of functions and weapon hit types). I’ll need what you’ve created as a base, but I’ll be adding rules for non traditional mecha(like more than 4 weapons, or mecha that can transform, or mecha that have intelligent funnels) so that you could spend a crazy amount of time kitbashing the mech of your dreams, and then make a team out of all your gunpla(a team is a 4 mech + 1 leader squad under the same player’s command. A maximum of two teams per player, a maximum of 4 players per 16x16 battlefield).I’m also going to add a way to add or remove players mid game, so that a game could go on for pretty much forever. I’m aiming for a mecha DND, but I’m still working out balance issues. I want the game to be balanced and fair even if your mech has 16 weapons and can fly. If you show up with a titan class(perfect grade), you can still be defeated by a team(4+1) of RG. Im making a way for scale to affect gameplay, and there will be benefits and drawbacks to all sizes. This way it won’t be possible to simply make a team of 10 perfect grades and essentially “pay to win”. I’m trying real hard to avoid MTG level power creep. I’m also adding a huge amount of weapons(like over a million possible combinations of stats and abilities) and there’s no limit to how much weapons you can have. As long as your generator stat can support it, you could use a 1/60 tank mech with 24 weapons and has 100 health(10x more than base. All mecha get a base health of 10) I’ll be ready to share my math by this time next year. Game balancing is very hard when your mech has over 40 different numbers that affect it, and each battle could have as much as 40 mecha on the table, with a maximum of 8 of them operating at the same time.(in certain situations, a player can operate two mecha simultaneously, and a maximum of 4 players so 2x4=8)(each player can have a maximum of two 4+1 teams max 4 players so 4(2x5). As you can see, battle on this scale can be epic and time consuming. It can take as much as 20 minutes per turn, and no one is sitting by waiting for their turn. That’s the reasoning behind the “phases” rule. No player will ever be sitting back waiting for their turn to roll dice. All players are engaged in all turns, even not their own. I’m also trying to make it possible to play by webcam, so you don’t have to live near your opponents.
This needs to be greatly expanded. You’ve got a solid foundation for a game, but it won’t work for every mecha. Mgex freedom, or any PG wouldn’t work for this. This only works for frame arms, 30MM/MS, MG 1/12, HG, RG, etc, and you need rules that are more customizable. A Gundam would be significantly more powerful than a megami device for example. Can I use this to develop a custom rule set? I need a game that can use kitbashed mecha, Chinese 3rd party(like zero gravity judge etc), and I need it to work specifically with a warhammer setup(terrain levels and interference) and it needs to work on either a 4x8 or 8x16 table. So a 4 player game with 6 mecha each would take an 8x16 table setup, and anything larger would take a 16x16 cross setup that would take up an entire living room. I got tons of ideas for this.
Sure as long as we’re credited for our work. We are also willing to work closely with people that would like to expand the game to make it a better experience for the players
ano to pre? 1v1 rules? tagal na ako interested sa 1v1 rules yung Mecha Tabletop parang Warhammer rip off kasi tas sabi ng mga table top players baduy daw sya 1v1 rules nga solid!

@@DinoSerr thanks
Bro created SD Gundam G Generation irl
some questions of my own: - what happens if a gunpla has more than 4 weapons? would some have to be given up to only have 4 slots? or can attack slots increase from 4? - what if the gunpla can transform? would mobility change for how far it could move? - how would wireless/drone weapons like funnels be treated in the game? being an all-range attack, would more funnels decrease minimum number roll for attacking?
- Right. 4 slots are the maximum for now. - This is the transformation skill/upgrade in the game: [Transformable] Unit will gain +3” Move, but can only use 2 slots of weapons/skills. 1.) Which weapons it can use while transformed should be declared before the game starts. 2.) To transform back, you must wait until your next activation. Pay 1 CP, its +3” Move from is removed, and it can use 4 weapons/skills slots again. (If Arming Phase is enabled. You can only use 1 slot when transformed.) 3.) Transforming doesn’t cause CP, but transforming back does. - We have 2 kinds of funnels in the game: Melee and Ranged. You can check the weapon stats here: docs.google.com/document/d/1tcPYSy_fbL6pJDCBl5K2hf_zbXCvwhEz-fjPuT_nXKQ/edit?usp=sharing
Dude this looks fun! Where did you find those cardboard buildings?
did you invented this game ? if so is there a way to suppourt you buying like a rulebook or something ?
I did, yes. I want the ruleset to be released free for everyone so you can already start playing the game and having fun battles. But if you really want to, you can support me @ ko-fi.com/leachim_paloyz15 It would go a long way paying for bills/equipment which would help me in creating more content related to it. I appreciate the support!
This is a pretty good baseline to go off for more than just gunpla/mecha, a little adjustment and you can really make this work for just about anything. D6 dice are super common so just about anyone can easily get into it by stealing the dice from a monopoly box, but more hardcore tabletop gamers can adjust it to work with D10s and flesh it out a bit more as well. I like it.
What you said is exactly my vision and intention when designing the ruleset. Hope you have fun playing!
What's the kit used for sir John Darksoul?

I'm so glad to come across this. I just got back from Japan and picked up some 30MS models and was thinking how cool it would be to play BattleTech or something with them instead. I think there's a lot of potential for these high customizable gunpla models and table top gaming!
picking between dodging and guarding and having them each have different utility is super inspired too. this is CLEVER dude.
Super kudos on this! I've been working on a similar project myself, but I wanted to use cards (which complicates game dev exponentially so it keeps getting pushed back behind other projects I'm doing haha). Pretty solid ruleset and you explained it here REALLY well. There have been a few attempts at gunpla tabletop games and this is the first one I actually want to try. Also having successful attacks always do at least one damage is a great mechanic too. I may start using a version of that next time I play OPR or something.
I hope you try the game out and good luck on your project!
@@DinoSerr I'm actually heading to Japan tomorrow, so it'll be cool knowing I'll have something to do with all the 30 min missions kits I'll end up buying. Haha
