Cloudy Malvern...A cross country flight where I 'bombed' at 63km.
An unlikely looking cross country day, due to 100% cloud cover, from Worcester Beacon, (Malvern Hills). The air was unstable, and there were thermals to be found. My good friend (and legendary XC pilot) Tim P flew with me quite a bit, after he nearly went down twice.... but he had the last laugh....
Excellent flying for 2.5hrs, but I wish it had been longer!!!!
Several did flights over 100miles (160km) to the Cambridge area.

6 days of sea kayaking in Bohuslan in Sweden

A team of 6 experienced sea paddlers enjoyed 6 sunny days in the beautiful archipelago N of Gothenberg. We hired kayaks and camping gear locally. We had some windy days which caused us to change our route, but te excellent camping locations made a great trip!

Playing with my GoPro 10, and an excellent present from my son. 30 X speed. A bit exhausting, but it was fun. Great stabilization on the GoPro. Poor video quality tho. (I now know what to do...)

Fantastic 5 star day, with some tricky aspects. Weak thermals being one problem, and the need to crosswind to avoid a big airshow.
Magic climb out

Lovely climb out which was lucky! Most went down, Difficult to find thermals with almost no sun!
BGD Berga SRS Day 2, 45k race to goal

The Sports Racing Series BGD sponsored competition was held in June 2024. This is from Day 2. The task was a short weather induced 45k race to goal. only 28/130 made it. Of those, only 2 were 'B' gliders. One was superstar Pal Takats, and I was the other one! Great conditions when you finally got to them... Great day out for an ageing incompetent!

As if it's not dangerous enough but must be extra dangerous flying with all those other people in the air?

Lovely Video. I would love a 60 km flight. So windy in Ireland this year. Or Nil wind. Cheers Frank in Kilkenny. We fly Mount Leinster in the south East.
It's nice to see that you can still kayak in those waves.. I'm looking into buying one so watching everything available right now to learn.

Fun trip! Not sure why the video quality isn't that sharp - except for 6:27 to 6:47 by the granite cliffs...?
Some of it was from my iphone, the camping bits....I videoed GoPro in 1080 wide.
@@kenwilkinson7836 not sure that's why - if you look at my recent video say, and set it to 1080, it still looks sharper than yours except for the 20 secs I mentioned.
Looks like an amazing trip, thanks for sharing! Why does it seem like our Canada Geese are so much better behaved when they're abroad than when they're back at home? 🤣

There were swans, but I never saw the ''swan uppers', as I had to get a bus!
