What's In My Camera Gear Case? 2020 Edition
Holy shit this is some pop music garbage
Helix?
I’d rather hear the band than the click. Where is the natural breath and speeding up/sliwing down to create natural effect? Guess those days are gone and you have posers.😮
Thats not making music
Yup.
The click kills performances these days. Live is supposed to be a one off performance and the click kills the interactivity between the group members. Instead they interact together via the click and an audience member can tell. It doesn’t have to be the exact same thing every night you play it as long as it’s still a good show. I guess if people want to hear the album played by dudes standing in fixed spots on stage zoned out of the entire live performance they will keep paying money.
Holy crap. That's freaking tight.
I personally don't like the sound of the kick trigger, but it sure as hell beats nothing like when they put it through stage monitors.
Thats top teir, without earpieces you sometimes cant even hear yourself playing guitar lol
Click tracks are only vaguely annoying once you figure out how much better you play with them
I'm pretty sure that's not what Lynard Skynard heard in their ears at the Oakland Colosseum or Jimi heard when he played the Star-spangled banner at Woodstock, Peter Green playing 'Oh Well' or Dylan at The Free Trade Hall... I guess if you're mates are making a racket, you need a click track to help you through. Not sure The Beatles used one at Candelstick Park.
While she sleeps for the win...amazing, definitely a completely different experience then being with the crowd
What's that pedeal is ge using to switch the pitch of tge riff like that?
...lol... imagine having to use a metronome 😂😂
The metronome would drive me nuts 😳
That would drive me insane
And then there's tool lol
oh my…
as a musician: SOME bands use a click track. It's a lot of work to set up an entire show on a laptop, and an In-ear monitoring setup is required.
The best is to have them to pump the full mix of what the audience hears into the inner ears...that way you know what you really sound like. I never understand why everyone just wants to hear themselves. You already know how you sound from years of playing in your bedroom.
Not crazy. ISO does nothing but exposure. Aperture and Shutter speed decisions are artistic. Noise is Enemy...
I played guitar in a local southern rock/country honky tonk band years ago & sometime around 2001ish there was a traveling benefit tour with several indie bands coming through my area & somehow we ended up on the bill as the first act in order to draw some of the locals. We were SO out of our league, we went from the usual smokey bars with a few hundred people being the max crowd on a busy night to playing on a gigantic professional stage with fog machines & lights in front of thousands of people. I remember during sound check the sound engineer asking me what I wanted in my wedge & I thought he was asking about ordering food. I'd never heard them called wedges at that point we'd always just called them monitors. We played 9 songs & to say we did ok is probably an over statement in comparison to those other big pro touring bands
They hear an annoying click track in addition to shitty cock rock?
Without technology you'd show your real skills 😜
Band???
I found Stratocaster
Only amateurs use a clickttack on stage wtf man
Using a pedal with your left foot? Monster.
I don't hear sht on stage
So lame they need a click track. A real drummer does that live
r/gatekeeping
While She Sleeps puts on such great shows! Looking forward to their 2025 US Tour!
Click track? Sounds more like a drummer with his hand in the cowbell. Not uncommon.
What is the second song ????
Noise?
Not all musicians play to a click BTW… I was in a band for years and we never used them live only on recordings
If u hear that, poor u. U r not playing musing, u r working by a threadmill, filling sof drink in bottle or similar. It s not music
what being a producer sounds like
i feel sorry for them if they are hearing shitty music like this
internal voice, 'dont f this up' x100
While she Sleeps(artist) - I’ve seen it all(song)
what band is this?
I need to know too
While she sleeps
And song is called - I've seen it all
People salty because they don't have to worry about large venues where cranking speakers isn't enough and damages hearing overtime
people are out of touch in this comment section. clicks and backing tracks are just apart of live sound now especially with metal and prog where your whole band has to play some weird rhythm pattern starting on the e of 2 and if you don’t come in at the same time it sounds like horse shit.
Atheist and Cynic were playing way more technical prog parts than most new bands in the late 80s, just drums lmao.
All this crap about how “iT’s cHeAtInG!” 😵💫 “wE dId It LiKe tHiS 100 yEaRs AgO!” 👨🦳 “I dO tHiS” and “tHaT!” Wah wah! 😭 Like who are you, again? 🤔
So many people hating for absolutely no reason lol. So what if this particular person wants to perform their absolute best with a click. The fans deserve it with the price of tickets these days.
your drummer sets the tempo live. click is so sterile
yall hating on professionalism is crazy..
I know, it’s like playing without a click is somehow evil and a lost art. Never thought I’d see the day!!
Listening to that "bass drum" would drive me nuts!
i agree, i would rather just have the metronome only. hearing my drummer's triggers would get to me.
Naaah, the drums are the best part ❤
Yeah, I'm wearing ear buds and it's literally killing me.
I can’t believe that bass drum sounds so freaking small and crappy. I play at church the kick in my ear sounds ten times better than this and surely we okay through less expensive gear.
I don't use in ears. Don't use metronome. Stay in time and hear just fine. These little bands think they are metallica in arena or some shit. 😂
We played by groove and feel, never a click track unless it was the studio before we layed down any real drums. No wonder newer bands have no soul.
try playing odd time signatures without a click track
@@bamsuth9650 It's called "Pass the God damn butter pass the God damn butter" and tapping your feet for odd time signatures.
So boring and unprofessional... this isn't what professional "musics" do or hear.
im sorry to tell you but this is exactly what they hear on stage
That drummer was clean!!!! I mean he didn’t miss a count by 1000th of a beat.
