I have done a very stupid thing: I decided to give US universities a shot within a span of 4 months. I decided in September, most submissions were in December/January. This was an idiot move, I know. I'm terribly scared because my life's dream is to get a PhD from my three shortlisted unis. Now that only one of my submissions is left, most have been completed by December and one is in February, I keep realising that even within two months I have polished my SOP so much. This last school is like...my least-favoured option. So, I'm just mad at myself that I've written half-baked essays for my top preference schools. I really wish that I had taken a whole year to prepare, I was just too tired of my soul sucking job and needed a jolt. Wish me luck, guys, If I do get in, I will surely update. Thanks for reading my rant xx

The Harvard GSD program now requires a program statement and the prompt is asking more about your future rather than your history. I can find any references for how people are outlining their project statement. They require a smaller essay that is similar to a portion of a personal statement and there is also another section that is a portion of a statement of purpose. There is another writing section where you must type why you are choosing your major.

Hi schola, thanks very much, I referred to these tips and I have just gotten admission from Kent state university.. the whole process of putting together my thoughts and experiences on the paper was overwhelming but this acted as a guide… I didn’t receive any funding but I’m proud that I wrote my sop myself.. my next step is looking for funding

Please help!!!! I want so badly to get into these schools, but my paper doesn't flow and it is taking me out. I can tell that my paper is not smooth. It''s in fact very choppy, and I am having a hard time trying to figure out my story line and how to bridge the gap between my personal life experiences, and my academic desires.
