I am doing this protocol for at least a month and probably longer (pending my blood work) This is a modified version of his Green Giant Drink he has each morning with his morning pills. I will try to eat this way for at least a month (small cheats) and then see what my blood work looks like. R...

Your hernia surgery videos helped me so much. I am grateful for the direction and things to watch out for that I got from them before my hernia surgery. I am one month post umblical hernia surgery now, take it easy and give yourself time to heal. All the best in your upcoming surgery. Feel better and recover quickly.

Very helpful! Thank you!! I have had similar experience. Have had PN for several years, started slowly. Was pre diabetic for years, A1C in the 6 to 6.2 range but no PN issues untill about two years ago, think it was there for a wile, just did not notice it. Stopped drinking lost 35 lbs. and cut the carbs (Keto diet). Walking and jogging a little. It has clearly helped along with many of the same vitamins you mentioned. It’s better but not gone. A1C now at 5.4. Also my neurologist said he saw a big jump in PN cases with Covid which I had about two years ago. No one thing is the answer in my situation, however drinking was a big factor.

I was fortunate because I did the pain meds for 1 day only. I had a different complication because I received a foley cath (why, I don't know) . 95% of these surgeries are foley-free, but I guess I was “lucky”. I returned later in the day presenting with urinary retention. I had too much fluid in my bladder to measure with the sonogram. So the one bit that I'd contribute on this matter is to make certain you won't get a foley unless absolutely necessary. And what he mentioned is true also… which is why I did 1 day of pain meds.

'Very first thing' when I got home was to drink some water then a 8oz glass of 100% Prune Juice and take 2-Colace capsules with it. I ate mac-n-cheese for a late lunch and for easy-digestion. Did the Colace/Prune Juice routine every morning right after waking up for 2 weeks then reduced to 1-capsule with Prune Juice after that. No issues with bathroom (💩 🚽👍😀) at all! At week 3, just Prune juice then none at week 4. Drink alot of water & some type of (good) electrolyte drink mixed in. Water helps!

Last 3 nights I slept in my bed just like you did. Also I had to deal with phlegm tickling my throat making me cough it up and then I’d spit it out. PAINFUL? About 4-5 time a day. I’m good now.😁

Second surgery, so I knew how bad this part is. Painful as each gas/air bubble has to slowly work it's way thru your system. Currently Day 4 in the recovery from robo inguinal. When it's time to "go", do a bit of walking around to get your body's internal movement going. It helps to prop your feet up a few inches on something, and read something obscure to help take your mind off the anxiety/pain of having/trying to go. And usually, the cork will blow soon after.

I had severe constipation for almost a week while on holiday in Germany some years ago. On returning home I was still not getting more than a meagre bowel movement. I felt totally bloated and under the weather. Eventually I went to my GP and he probed the rectum. Straight away he phoned the hospital and told them what was going on. I overheard him saying to the consultant "the rectum is empty". If that doesn't ring warning bells I don't know what would. He printed a referral letter and told me to go immediately to A&E (ER in the US). Once there, they asked me some questions, had another probe around, then decided on a Fleet enema. Having squirted it in, the nurse told me to wait in the patients' toilet for at least 20 minutes no matter how strong the urge to push was. After 20 minutes I finally had the most relief I ever got from Number Twos. Thereafter the hospital doc warned of not eating enough fibre, which I've eaten more of ever since that most humiliating and embarrassing event. Since then I have had other bouts of constipation and I've found the magic elixir to drink is warm prune juice. It tastes vile, being so sweet, but it has an amazing effect on the bowels, usually within 60 minutes. Some people drink it hot, but I prefer warm to hot. A glassful is plenty. The other item in the bathroom is an enema bulb when nothing works. You fill this with warm water, lubricate down there a bit, then slide the enema bulb nozzle in and squeeze. At first I also found it rather distasteful, but anything is better than suffering severe constipation. So, my two go-to's are warm prune juice and if all else fails a rubber enema bulb.
