I might say it has something to do with the fact that demon's souls and dark souls 1 had really strong magic systems that would allow you to really kind of breeze through the game, but because dark souls 2 is kind of shunned, it's almost like it doesn't exist. Hence, dark souls 3 has the worst system. That would be my guess.

@@ivanvoloder8114 No, I personally like the game and think it is better than DS1. However, due to a number of reasons including the manner in which it was released and subsequent updates and re-releases it has rubbed the community the wrong way. I put out a couple of videos addressing some more specific details about this disagreement amongst the souls community but I would say that kind of sums it up for the most part. I would definitely say play it if you haven't and make your own mind up on whether or not you like it.

@@DungeonMasterElite I've played Elden Ring and currently playing DS 3. Love both of the games. I will give a go with DS 2 after I do all the builds playthroughs in DS 3. I am currently playing first NG+ as a sorcerer and realy like the spells.

@@ivanvoloder8114 I really think Elden Ring is a spiritual successor to DS2. If you liked Elden Ring you will probably like dark souls 2 as well. Obviously it's not as refined as either the two games you played but it's still fun IMO.

Which enemy?

The enemy was blocking and presumably lost his remaining stamina. This puts characters in an animation that allows for critical hits. It is really no different when you hold the block until your stamina is depleted. It's worth noting that axes, hammers, and other heavy weapons will often do this to shield bearing enemies due to the amount of damage (and poise) dealt.

Yeah, tbh, I don't use it often cus it's not really my style, but it was fun testing with it when I was gathering footage for the video. I really like the weapon art too!

It's not top dog like in DS1. They've added more weapons above that level for how it was used in 1 and dialed it down to compensate. I feel like they did it dirty because I was attached to it, but there's other weapons that give you the same feeling like the cathedral knight great sword.

@@wingusdingus9447 that is an interesting point. Though, there are a few gems (sometimes less well known) throughout many games such as the mace, battle axe (brigand/bandit), the hand axe, longsword, broad sword, falchion, and claymore (bastard sword), uchi, and several others. I suppose as long as a weapon is not seen as OP by the community, the following iterations keep them in a pretty good state.

If you really want the drops, you could use a bonfire ascetic to respawn the dragon. Obviously, the dragon as well as all the other creatures in the area will be more powerful though.

@@DungeonMasterElite Sounds like it should work, it's just a shame since I'm practically at the end of fetching every armor set/weapons including DLC and cleared out all areas without this extra Item Discovery boost so it just rubs me the wrong way monumentally. Missed out on some decent Twinkling Titanite and Petrified Dragon Bone drops :/

You gain the first one with 10 Attunement, and an additional one at 14, 18, 24, 30, 40, 50, 60, 80, and 99 (for the 10th slot).

There are a couple places in the game that has very fast and easy farming. I would say Lothric castle alone has two, but when I do farm, I usually only spend a handful of minutes here and there. There are tricks to optimizing.

Great question! I took a quick look at stats using a Lothric Knight Sword with 40 faith vs 40 Dex vs both at 40, and it really depends on what type of infusion that you want to go for. That being said if you go with a sharp infusion you definitely want to hit 40 dex as fast as possible however if you're going for Faith infusion, such as blessed or lightning, then you'll want to go with the 40 Faith as soon as possible. The stats that you are definitely going to be interested in is getting raised first are your vigor up to 27 and your attunement up to probably 18 (or 14) maybe even 24. It's always nice to have an improved endurance and vitality but you really have to decide for yourself if you need it. Me personally, I would first get 27 vigor, then increase my attunement a little bit (14 - 2 slots), and then finally focus on either dexterity or faith. However, having a 15 faith will carry you for a very long time due to the spell access you get. Now getting back to which is better sharp or lightning (or blessed) infusions, I would probably just go with a lightning infusion, but if you're going for the long game (level 120 or above) do the sharpen fusion for sure. Albeit, you would definitely want to buff it with lightning weapon spell as soon as you gain access to it. In fact, if you do go the Dex route, you can continue to see dexterity benefits beyond 40 dex. Lastly, keep in mind that there are alternatives to the lothric knight sword such as the longsword which is a very good alternative but also I would like to point you in the direction of using a character planner for DS3. I usually will use the soulsplanner.com/darksouls3 dark souls 3 option. It's pretty helpful. Otherwise, let me know how it goes or if you have any other questions. Go forth Ashen One!
