I'm using full core for this rena rouge wig because this wig shipped overseas and I have to make sure this one is strong enough for a long journey
You can make just half core or less to make soft ponytail like my blossom wig

I just use about 4-5inch foam core to hold the ponytail for blossom wig, just glue the tip of the hair and stick it to the core.
