Freeze and Fuse Filling Silicone Tubes ~ Fused Glass
Hi! Love your channel! Can you advise about your Craft Fair Booth set-up? Where did you find the wire "racks" that you hung your stuff on, is it part of a set/kit? Thanks!
So pretty.
You have done phenomenally.
An electric toothbrush works well as a vibrating tool to get the bubbles out and settle things.
Are you on fb? going to the glass and bead expo in April 25 and wondered if you will be there
I would love to go, but I just opened a store so I don't have the money "yet" for employees....lol

What type of saw do you have?
Adorable!!!
Such cute ghosts and love the glow in the dark idea. Thank you so much!!!!
Do you buy your black circles or make them??
I make them.
Do u use only transparent glass or will opal work too?
I've personally only use transparent, I'm sure opalescent will work too. Please try and send me pictures.
Hello, thank you for the great video! Would you mind sharing your fusing schedule for making these dots?
Where do you get the glow in the dark powder? Thanks
Thank you for sharing
The camera not in the best place to see everything. I really should tap more, tend to use running pliers, but don’t cut full sheets
The United Nuclear company website, where the glow powder is bought is a HOOT to browse through. Read the information on the Fiesta Dinner Ware sold in the 1950-60’s. My parents had a set of this, that explains a whole about our family! LOL Thanks for the information and the referral to such a fun website.☢
A little tip: the mosaic nippers will actually break out those little arcs along the marker line WITHOUT having to score and pre-cut them. Just place the nipper wheel in the middle of the little arc and nip. It will break out following the marker line. Try It , it really works.
I just realized, my directions were a little unclear. Place the nipper ON the middle of the MARKER LINE. Don’t score it at all. Just use the nippers to nip out the drawn line.
So cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do you mind sharing the type of glow powder you use? These are gorgeous!
These are so cute! How much do you sell them for? 🎉🎉🎉
$35 or 2 for $60
@@alittlepinkelephant they really are cute! Just subscribed :)
Nice birds! Great Job in teaching 😊, what markers do you use? Thanks for this vid.
Thank you for the kind words. I use the Milwaukee markers from lowes
Great ideas for frit!!!
Your thoughts to wear only cotton clothes, long-sleeved tops when doing hot glass torch work. So good habits!!
Love these!!! Great idea!!!
Well, your notes look more like, uhmmm.... a male music maker??!!😂😅🎉
love the idea of a shatter bowl being a glow in the dark musthroom . awsome work
Thank you. This is a technique that can be used in several different ways.
Happy I'm not the only tapper...great tips..thanks
Thank you. Working on my next video on how I make them....stay tuned!
Looks pretty good I can’t wait to see the finished product
Great video. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
That is so great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!love them
I have never seen the tubes before. Thanks for sharing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi. Thanks for doing this video. I've never seen these tubes. I wonder if you made a slurry first then filled the snowflake mold? I saw your finished video and had to look for this one to understand how the mold worked. Now that im watching you fill this tube I can see why the finished piece was inconsistant. I like your idea of changing colors maybe half way through the tube. Thanks for sharing. I'm gonna check out what other molds are available. The stringers in the strawberry sounds cool. Thanks again for sharing.😊
Thank you for your kind words. I have tried the slurry too. I found you need to make it pretty runny and wait for the water to rise and add more powder, then wait and add powder, wait, and so forth. Good luck with your ventures
Why the 4 hour hold on the annel?
My kilns are started in the morning and usually finish through the night. I time it just right for it to be done when I wake up. So I use all the extra time to annel it.
How long do the ghosts glow?
The ghost, if fully charged during the day they will glow all night. I wake up at 7am and they are still glowing as long as there is no ambient light. If you are talking about years, they will glow for several years.
Wonderful idea!!! You have. ESP, i was just trying to figure out how to make this work!!!!
Thanks again, I'm glad you found it helpful. I love love to experiment.
Amazing Great tutorial on glass fusing and freezing wirh cand I ed!!!! Dec 203.
Thank you 😊
These are really cool! Thanks for sharing.
Glad you like them! Thank you have a great holiday
These are a great idea. I was wondering if you could use modeling glass clay and lay into the mould and then freeze etc. terrific. Thank you ❤
Thank you, I have not yet used any of the clay. I will have to give it a try.
Such a great idea. I love it!
Thank you! 😊
Gorgeous were these tac fused ?
Thank you so much. Yes, these are at a very light tack fused to 1280. If you look under the description, (click on more) you'll beable to find the full schedule. Remember, this is my Kiln, all kilns will run different, so please test!
Those are beautiful@!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh you're so sweet 😋 ☺️ 💕 💗
I love those, simple, elegant and a delight to hear! Do you think you will make a short video on attaching the "tentacles" to the cap's underside? If not, I can drill small holes. Thank you for sharing, I truly love these! ❣
Thank you so much, you are so sweet. I'm sorry, though my jellyfish were not a paid tutorial, I did use a pay for the tutorial for the hardware. If you look up Glasshoppa on youtube or patreon.com you will find great info on the hardware.
Beautiful and so simple..luv it
Thank you 😊
Are the cut slices fusible nowq?
Thank you for taking the time to watch. Yes, one sliced they can be fused. I do a tack fuse or light countour, so they keep their shape, and it's enough to get them to round and shine. Treat them like you would murrini 😃
So you are fusing glass in these silicone molds? I dont get it
Thank you for the question. Please, once you freeze them, take them out of the silicone mold and place the glass on the kiln kiln shelf and don't touch until you fuse them. Please do not put silicone mold in the freezer. You can do this with so many silicone molds. It doesn't have to be the tubes. If you haven't done freeze and fuse, please look it up. You'll be happy you did. If you have any questions, please ask away. This is just another idea out if thousand, good luck 😃.
Great video!! Does the black sharpie need to be cleaned off before firing?
Actually no it does burn off. The metallic markers do not come off, so be sure to wash off with alcohol, the rubbing, not the drinking...lol
Love this technique!
Thank you! Cheers!
Thanks for sharing! So you're laying the pieces on edge?
Set the pieces on their sides, one next to the other. Then, layer the frit on top to help hold them together.
What are you using to score? Thanks for the video❤
I use the waffle grid for cutting. It makes a great smooth cut.
That’s so cool! Thank you for taking the time to video. Kathie from Mexico
