While it may not be this necessarily, I personally love the idea of the secret boss being the villain of a canceled old west TV series named "Mad Mike", and the newsletter implying that the whole section was scrapped was meant to be a teaser in the same way as the FNaF Sister Location "canceled due to leaks" teaser, that actually had an alternate meaning. (Also, the Flowey and freedom leitmotifs fit in this so well)

According to that other video, good news and bad news. Good news is that Ralsei is totally fine. Bad news is that Kris and Susie got sucked into the Woody Dimension to fight this goober. Insert “Kris, where the f&ck are we” joke here
If you think about it, it's entirely possible that the secret boss in Chapter 3 may not involve Ralsei (assuming it DOES still end up being the old west section, and Toby saying it was canceled was a fake out), since we only see the cowboy outfits for Kris and Susie, and one of the Spamton Sweepstakes pages referenced a secret door that you can only access by going through a maze WITHOUT finding a party member who knows the way through, but if you do have them then you will continue as normal. If we are to take that as a parallel to this chapter, which will likely involve jumping between different shows (late night noir detective shows, the morning weather, etc), it may be that the reason the door has no key is because it isn't from THAT show, it's from another one, and somehow you will be able to access this "maze" without adding Ralsei back to your team after they get split up, leading to the door entrance, thus making it entirely possible that Kris and Susie encounter the fight alone. That's my theory for the secret boss anyway, who knows how it could go.

there's a moment in the main game after u beat omega flowey and choose to spare him. he looks at the player, disgust and venom in his eyes, and asks, "what are you doing? do you really think i've learned anything from this? no." this game... makes that line hurt so much more. because... we SEE how much work flowey has put into this plan. he schemed for YEARS, pushing things in the right direction, manipulating humans like clover, all to enact his plan to become god. this is his reason for being, the mission that he has dedicated his life to since even before undertale yellow began. and yet... once it all comes crashing down and frisk defeats him anyway... it becomes nothing. just a failed experiment. flowey won't learn anything from this because he CAN'T learn anything from this. he's physically incapable of it. spare him, and he'll just brush himself off and form a new plan. it's absolutely heartbreaking. until you free him and turn him back into asriel, flowey is a prisoner of himself. he feels no remorse, no guilt, and so he physically cannot learn from his own mistakes. watching frisk spare him after having played this game... it's haunting, it's pathetic, and it hurts. UTY fits into undertale's lore perfectly, and i absolutely love it for that.

True that. When trying to line up the Charlie part with the Kanako part, I had to do a lot of audio manipulation, and it definitely has a little bit of an effect. Sorry about that! :)

We don’t know exactly which soul was used to make Flowey, but because of what he says, it was probably one of the first humans to fall. That would be something cool to explore in a different fan game though

Undertale Yellow honestly does a great job of recontextualising a good amount of details in Undertale, but one thing I wasn't sure it did was for Flowey. You don't really expect him to be helping you like he does…but of course, that's just for Pacifist. Flowey once again steals the show at the end in a Neutral playthrough, fittingly, and I feel the third conversation especially helps lead into Undertale's Flowey. The struggles of ending up in the same circumstance no matter what actions are taken, realising Clover isn’t the one for his plan, and that he's going to act differently next time to ensure his plan happens in the end with the next human.
