You Can Never Go Home Again
Can You Ever Go Home Again? This video is a bit of a tribute to a show I love, Over The Garden Wall which is turning 10 years old this November. Wow time flies. I've been thinking about the Journey Wirt & Greg go on and how journeys change us which is the whole impetus of this video. Why did I make this, I don't know, I wanted to. I hope you enjoy.

He Radicalized You. The 2005 movie Robots was a crazy but captivating movie that held my interest for years after I first watched it on DVD as a kid. Its messaging I think, rewrote some part of my brain and left me critical of corporate greed. I'll bet it did the same to you. I turned 16 this year. I mean, my birthday was just a couple of days ago. My personality has been changing and developing recently. When i was a little younger; i used to always get together with my friends and play games together. Always. Everyday. It was fun and careless, and it made me happy. It's only recently that it's stopped. I was told that friend groups naturally erode with age, but I never truly understood how real it is. I never hang out with them anymore. We're still in touch, but it's not the same, and it's never going to be the same, but this video taught me that's not a bad thing. I've noticed my interests, passions, and views of life develop, and I've been scared of growing up. I mean, im a sophomore! I only have two years until i graduate! That's terrifying! But this video showed me something I've deliberately chosen to deny. Change is good. My best friend, we've known each other for close to 6 years, is scared of growing up too, and I can't blame him. We used to always play games together as well. We'd play them all, Minecraft, Fortnite, Call of Duty, Red Dead Online, Rec Room, and so many other games. My best friend and I stood out to the others because him and I just hung out all the time. That's recently stopped, too. I mean, we still play, but nowhere close to the extent we used to. Not even close. The two of us are literally finding ourselves. At this age, that's common. We've naturally drifted apart, but that's not a bad thing. I see that now. It's almost fate that i found this video when I did. I wasn't even going to watch it, but the title stuck out to me, and the time of my life im in. Sure, im still scared me and my best friend will grow apart, but I don't think we'll ever stop talking. I could go on and on about my life, but this comment is already long and I need to get ready for school. But I hope someone sees this, or it gets attention, because I know people are scared like I am. I want to hear other people and their stories. I hope this comment reaches popularity so people might talk about what they are scared of, and how their life is changing. And i hope whatever this comment is, helped. And I hope the creator of this video sees this comment, so he knows this video helped me.

Honestly Brother Bear is such a wholesome little film it does have a lot of Disney movie cliches I admit and I understand the Humour not being for everyone and I do find the ending a little bit rushed but overall I love the film the animation is nice the soundtrack is lovely to listen to and the characters and story are actually very charming and I admire the film for taking its message to this type of extreme with Kenai's actions truly being something so extreme that not a lot of people in real life would be able to forgive or even understand why someone else would forgive which makes his and Koda's Relationship very sweet and interesting imo Hell some years back I actually Read some fanfics about BB taking place after the movies just cause I thought there was a lot of interesting extra stuff that fans could explore in their Relationship.

on the topic of golden ages, that this video starts on. The concept of golden ages, and them being in the past, has existed for at minimum 3000 years, as we have records of the Greek Poet Hesiod giving mention to the 5 ages of man that define greek myth. the first of the 5 ages is the golden age. ruled by Kronus the titan god of the Harvest (note. Kronus is different to Chronos the primordial god of time) where every human's basic needs were met in abundance. but with no intellect. the people were effectively locked out of higher forms of fulfilment the second is the silver age. the first to be ruled by Zeus, son of Kronus. and although man gains its intellect. humans also become highly aggressive. this continues for the next few ages being the bronze, hero and iron ages there's little mention of what happens in the silver and bronze ages besides the fact that humans are generally aggressive the Heroic age is where we find all the stuff from greek mythology. ending when Zeus and the other gods agree to take a step back and be less involved with the affairs of man. leading to the Iron age. which according to Hesiod. was the one he was in. it was defined as "the modern era" where the gods were being worshipped to. but direct encounters with gods was almost unheard of. their answer to "god works in mysterious ways"

I have always loved this movie. Reviewers are stupid and they review it badly. Being consciously contrarian doesn't make you cool. Kenai is UNBELIEVABLY brave. He tracks an enormous bear just because in his mind killed his brother who he LOVED hence the totem working in full force. His older brother hunting him never made sense. Can he not realise that Kenai bear is WAY smaller than the original bear? Anyway, the movie teaches love is not weakness, loving men are good men, take accountability for your actions, self reflect and say you're sorry. That is HUGE for disney and Kenai yet again is one of the most brave characters in Disney, period. Kill my brother? Ill erase your bloodline type of bravery. This movie is not about bears. At all

Honestly, I never thought of the fact that in addition to not having a villain, this movie doesn't have a hero, but instead, a flawed protagonist who's journey involves overcoming said flaws. I'm writing a book series which covers this exact same theme, where the protagonists' true journey involves them overcoming their flaws and mistakes to become the true heroes their world needs.

I do wish this video went over the decline of the family Thanksgiving for Friendsgiving in the period since this film was released and especially in the last eight years. With Friendsgiving, you never have to "leave the kids table" so to speak, since you will be able to pick and choose who you celebrate with. You don't have to tolerate that "estranged uncle" anymore. You don't have to be belittled and prodded about every lifestyle choice you've made. Whether that is a good thing or a bad thing, of course, is heavily debated. I sort of did a hybrid of the two this year, being invited to a family Thanksgiving by a friend of mine. I was not with my family this Thanksgiving but I was at someone else's family's Thanksgiving. And I quite enjoyed myself.

Thanks to this video being recommended to me, I am definitely planning on watching this film again after 15 years. I wonder how my perspective on the film will have changed in those 15 years of tumultuous world events and life and personality changes. I already feel old knowing that this film is 15 years old.

as thanksgiving comes and gos again this year, i find myself doing the usual reflection of the year and worrying i hadn’t done enough. time is always slipping through my fingers like sand in an hourglass. but maybe it’s not about the handful of sand i can’t seem to hold onto, it’s about the individual grains that get stuck in my hair and clothes and i don’t even realize i’m carrying them with me. this life is about small pleasures, little quiet moments, and overall the emotions they always bring with them. this thanksgiving is especially hard with the passing of my beloved grandmother all too soon. it’s been a long year, it’s been a short year, it’s been a year. and another one will come and go as well

Actually, about Bigweld running the world or at least the socio-economic zone around his factory makes complete sense when you take into account that this is basically Brave New (Binary) World Bigweld Industries make new life, they make their citizens, and the parents of the new citizens directly influence the outcome and possibilities accessible to their children through their wallet. Assuming that Robots also have internal componants like actualy robots would, hell I can just talk about my own (almost) child. when I first got my pc, in it's infant case one could say, I didn't have any money, it was a christmas present and part of a studying contract so to speak, I got gifted it because it would help me do good in school (amongst other things). My dad is pretty good with computers, so with an old graphics card he had left over from one of his own upgrades, he managed to piece together a fairly decent pc for me for about 500 bucks pre-covid. Now, I'd say my pc is a Teenager, most of it's components have been changed and overall since I started working, I've spent more on the PC than it originally cost to build. Tangent aside, my PC is not the most powerful build around, far from it ; it may be impressive amongst friends for being a personnal build and with better hand-picked specs than a run-of-the-mill pre-built, but it's still only as powerful as I can afford to put into it In the world of Robots, you dont _make a baby_ you buy a baby, or even you could say you invest in a baby, I wouldn't be surprised that outside of the lens, banks have special "baby saving accounts" you buy yourself an Alpha to ensure your child has the best life, and that you can have a nice retirement eventually long ramble aside, great video, thouroughly enjoyed !

It also tackles the unknown of the future and human's existential relationship with that unknown. The contrast between the the main character and the main villain serves as an amazing exploration of what it means to accept fate. Watch it, let it give you an existential crisis.
