Hello, you want to start bluetooth device search on you tv after initiate whatever the device is you are trying to connect to your TV then you ask your TV to look for a device to connect to. If you want to avoid the delay and extra steps of any kind of bluetooth connection to the tv’s, new device first then ask your tv to look for available Bluetooth devices to connect to, with all do respect..

What a beautiful piece of work! Both the project and the video. I'm also a do-it-myselfer and learned from you. I have a number of V2s I've had for years and just bought my first V3 to use outside. Thank you very much for setting up and sharing with us!

Maybe I missed it. Did you have to cut the connector off the wire to make the pigtail that you soldered to the board or did you buy them that way?

Nicely done! you look like you have done it few times in past. but this method isn't for the faint of heart. Soldering skills are required and removing the rubber clogging the screws is pain in butt if you accidentally push them down and have to fish em out with a needle and remember to remove sd Card before prying the cam out of case or you will damage the sd card slot (like I did😅) since it is sticking out slightly. and do not use any instant-glue inside just use two-part epoxy. and you can diy your own antenna from any sma cable or cable TV coaxial ones. Personally I'm not sure if it improved my range but after changing an old charger with a new one made my cam work fine again but the antenna mod must have worked too.

Everything went as expected with the front 2 tires, but the horn wouldn't beep when I released the air in the right rear tire. Wonder if this means the sensor itself is kaput?

Thanks for this. Is there a direction to solder the antenna? I think you placed the inner cable on the inside connector and the braided on the outside while not using the middle? Not sure if it would make any difference.

I tried the external antenna mod with two cameras and I did not see a big increase. My connection is perfect, I am electronics technologist with more then 30 years experience, so I don't have problems with soldering. My opinion is that the gain with the external antenna is low.

This is not "reprogramming". This is "relearning". Big difference. Reprogramming requires special equipment. For example, reprogramming is required for a higher pressure change.

I was looking for an outdoor camera to keep an eye on my dogs in the yard when I'm not home. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxOXxsTZ3ptV_Pk0fFl8bNZvVqeoqBQFwe Tried a different one that was absolutely terrible, so I got these instead. They work perfectly! With 3 of these cameras I can see every corner of the yard, and they were very easy to set up. The best part is I only get the footage I want to see, not hours of videos of the bird feeder swaying in the breeze.

After a year of thinking about doing this I finally did it. I was not able to play events from my cam because they would not upload to cloud and I could barely connect, but worked good enough I could see picture of event. Camera is outside behind stone walls, router is in basement far away. I added the same antenna as him, very simple, and now I can play events, see cam live in good quality, the connection is 2-3 bars but is good that I can do everything without problems.

Hi Rodger, I have a question for you. If the camera is facing you, can you mount the antenna on to the LEFT side near the bottom of the camera. Instead of the back upper side of the camera where you currently have yours mounted? The reason why I'm asking is because where I currently have mine mounted it must be flushed with that surface.

Trying to decide if I am gonna just dish out the skrill for their wifi extender camera system, or do this, but only if it will make a connection with my router. P.S. Did the broken SD card work after? That is something I would of totally done! Thank you! Liked and Subscribed sir!

I just got off the phone with wyze. This will be my 3rd replacement sent to me all over connectivity issues. My old v1 was in the same place and never had any issues. Wyze said, "we've never had any complaints of connectivity issues with the v3". I smell a class action lawsuit.

Thanks for the whole " getting the case opened without damaging it" that really helped. I would say that it would have been a good thing to add a tag about taking the SD card out before opening up the case... I almost broke my SD card like you did. One other thing, I decided to leave the stock antenna connected and just solder on my new antenna. I worked out fine... Doubling my signal strength. Thanks for your video!

Just one small note. Regular silicone releases acetic acid when curing (this is why it smells like vinegar). This is corrosive to the electronics. So you might want to at least wait for it to fully cure (I would wait 48h at least !) before closing, or, even better, use a neutral-curing silicone (you need to ask the vendor of the silicone, or sometimes it is written on the packaging) or gasket maker. This is especially a concern since the V3 is waterproof, you don't want the electronics to be sealed with acidic vapors forever.
