Thanks for the question. Let me clarify, First, I didn’t say anything was WRONG with Falcon being black but that I DON’T LIKE FALCON BEING CAP. I believe that l legacy is MOST impactful when it remains in the culture that birthed it. historically in comics black characters have been relegated to second or third string and propped up on the legitimacy established by white characters the problem with the message that the sends is that our characters cannot stand-on their own merit without being first established and legitimatized by white predecessors. This is what made the original incarnation of milestone comics so impactful. That we could create on our own that did not need to be repurposed white characters. I sincerely doubt it would be well received if the mantle of Black Panther were passed down white character. If there weren’t historical patterns in comics that verify my statement, then I’d have NO PROBLEM with falcon being cap. And knowing the history of the falcon character drives home the White Savior trope in comics which is in part why Red, White, & Black that introduced Isaiah Bradley was so well received (read it if you haven’t as I’m sure you’ll enjoy it). But if YOU like Falcon Cap that’s GREAT! Every fan helps keep this industry alive!! As we say here, ‘You can like eat you like.’ That’s the joy of fandom.

Thanks for your reply. True you didn’t say you didn’t like Falcon being black, nor did I accuse you of that. My words were Falcon being Cap. That out of the way when you get on the topic of race swapping that says that you don’t like Captain America being black, even though you rock with Isaiah who’s story was not written until 2003? When was the first Steve Rodger’s comic? 1941. I see it this way. In the MCU Sam didn’t initially accept Steve or anyone’s approval, in fact he was reluctant, all the way through Falcon and Winter Soldier. It was meeting with Isaiah that made it clear to Sam that he should do it for his own reasons. If you look at the feats, Sam has the guts, intelligence, and even athleticism that Steve had, just not enhanced. And a good moral compass. I will look up Isaiah Bradleys story as I am interested in it as well. Isaiah being named the original Cap makes more since to me for Falcon, Sam Wilson, Anthony Mackie, to own the mantle and create his own legacy.

Yea I’m my research i saw the elemental form of him with the full fire covering and he had a Russian guys merged in the matrix he looked cool and super powerful as well there!

I just don’t like when they aren’t done right consistently then every once in a while we get a writer who’s like “ here’s what they really can do” but those showings are few and far between for characters like these!

@@gengeekfam I was going to recommend the same. It's not terrible on a phone or laptop, sounds good through my surround but it's hard to understand you. Rock on man, great breakdown. Honestly I get the vibe that both are only limited by their imaginations and possibly intelligence *however* Manhattan's view on time gives him a distinct advantage... until Franklin realizes what he's doing and does the same himself. I think the real winner would just be who was creative the fastest. Young Franklin might have a better chance than old Franklin. Ultimately I think it would be like two oceans fighting, nothing ever really changes.
