Why do you have a cheese cave
@@559 because I make our own cheese vs buying from the store
Got milk?
Yep!
Great video…is the fresh sausages half cooked or completely raw packed
Completely raw packed
Use large mouth jars next time, dear. I learned the hard way.
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Comment if you want an in depth tour
You forgot to debubble
Hi would love the iced tea concentrate recipe please
It's just 4 cups water, boiled, add 20 tea bags, let steep, remove tea bags, add 4 cups white sugar. Stir till dissolved. To can, I used this recipe pin.it/3hP99Tg and added the lemon juice to each jar before canning. Tastes great even after canned.
Thank you for this video. I love your straightforward approach. Thumbs up for the bonus bean canning tutorial! My mother tells me stories about how her mother would join the uncles who were dairy farmers. Every year they would process two hogs. Mom's task was to can the meat to distribute to the extended family.
Loved the pantry tour! Any of your family recipes youd like to share would be great! Tomato soup?😊
I would love to know your cabbage soup recipe ❤
hi mam how are u i like your videos can you share your whtssapp number
Looks great. I have been wanting to organize my pantry so this was super helpful. I wanted to go to glass as it looks better and lasts longer so definitely gonna get some Mason jars and get started. I will get. basket for kids snacks and bread. I want to get rid of the plastic cereal containers for the kids. Have you found a size that works for cereal?1/2 gallon or maybe full gallon? Do you like the Mason jar style more than spaghetti container style? I saw jars like the spaghetti container style but they were about $5 a jar.
Plan on canning brats. Thx!
That looks so delicious.😋 I’ll have to try this recipe!
I love your pickled beets reusing grocery jars! I still am a little intimidated to do this. The cowboy candy will lessen in heat intensity - I said the exact same thing but the heat dissipated with time trust me
I can see ppl being intimidated by that...I grew up with my mom reusing jars. And good to know about cowboy candy....maybe we'll crack a jar and see how it is now.
Good morning my friends! Today's video is a relaxed seedling update. Along with an elderberry and viburnum cutting update!! Have you started any seeds yet?
I can sausage in half pints. It’s perfect to add to eggs and pizza toppings. Thank you for your bideo
Have you ever tried canning pineapple zucchini? You still have to buy pineapple juice, but we have stopped buying any canned pineapple. My kids like it just as much as pineapple! I can it in cubes (like pineapple tidbits) and shredded. I use the shredded through the winter in zucchini bread. It is a great way to use up oversized zucchini’s!
You know, I did in 2021...but we just don't like it on pizza. I use it in baking and we love it!
would love to see a video on how you make your cheese when you get fresh milk again!
Hi friend! Yes, I will definitely try to do that! Hopefully she calves in 2 weeks....
Hey friends!!! Come check out as I share how the #three rivers challenge went!! Let me know how you guys did with the challenge!!
Good morning friends, have you ever canned sausage before? Let me know in the comments here what meat you in your canning pantry. I love having ready meat available for quick and easy meals. Blessings, Melanie
Seedling update #1!!! I'm excited about how my seeds are growing!! Check it out!!
I bet this bread tasted good!! Yes food for the family doesn't have to be perfect.
Yes! So good. Thanks for being here.
Come along with me today as I bake amish white bread....our favorite bread staple.
New subscriber here! I love seeing your freezer and pantry tour. Also, I liked how you did your meal planning on your big calendar and your side notes. I have 3 grown boys and 2 adult girls. Now we’re have 5 grandchildren. WE watch 2 of them on a regular basis. They have favorite foods that we try to also keep stocked up on.
Welcome! And thank you for being here. I try and do what makes sense for us. And good for you for looking after grandchildren regularly. I'm sure they appreciate having their favorite foods at grandma and grandpas.
Let's start some herb seeds together!! What herbs are you starting this year?
Maybe you can try to make that marshmallow fluff! I dont know how it would do in making it rice crispy squares though. I’m thinking of giving it a try myself.
I ended up using the marshmallows and rice krispies for rice krispie squares. Using my own recipe lol But marshmallow fluff sounds good!!
This was perfect motivation to start my onion and lettuce seeds today!
Oh awesome!! You can do it!! 😀
Hi friends!! Join me as I start my onion seeds, sweet potato slips, and some lettuce seeds for our very own salad bar. Leave a comment letting me know what you've started from seed this year so far.
Homemade meals are the best. I bet it was delicious
It sure was!
Come along with me as I cook a traditional dinner...this is hubby's favorite meal. We are also in the middle of the #threeriverschallenge
Today's video is so exciting!! I'm starting my 1st seeds of 2023!!!
I just found your channel, and when I saw that ginormous freezer alongside it's little brother I had to subscribe!!! I'm doing a no-spend-uary challenge too. We're a small family of three, but my freezers are stuffed full, so need to eat through most of that. Love seeing all the canned goods, and hearing your hubs helped you with the shelves, so wonderful!! I look forward to seeing some of the meals you've planned. Best of luck getting ready for the 60# of beef!
🤣 love it! Thank you! I definitely feel blessed with all the food we have put away. But it'll all be gone before the end of the year. You'll see more of the meals I've prepared on my Instagram stories....my boys are just too noisy to try and film every day. Thank you for watching!
Thanks for sharing! I’ve really been into watching videos on preserving foods and stuff. We are planning on moving back to NS and starting a little homestead this is making me so excited!
You're welcome! Oh that's so exciting!! Watch all the TH-cam videos!! There's so much great info here. Roots and Refuge farm is great. Seed and Sparrow Homestead here on TH-cam is super sweet too.
Hi from northern saskatchewan! We run a beef cattle operation and I love canning. I grew up in the Okanagan, and I'm super jealous that you can get pears, Peaches etc where you are. What a blessing! Where do you find the pumonas pectin for sale in Canada? I'd love to find it, as I make our jams sugar free and they never set
Hey!! I grew up in Manitoba...not too far from Saskatchewan. Yeah we are far enough south where we are that we can grow both. The southernmost tip of ontario is the same latitude as northern California.... I buy the pomonas pectin on Amazon. It's expensive but you use very little per batch, so it lasts a long time.
Ok thanks!
Thank you for this video! Lots of great information. More gardening videos, please! It looks like you have good knowledge to share!
You're welcome 😀 Yes more seed starting, and gardening videos for sure!!
Hi, I found you as I searched for participants in the three rivers challenge. I'm a boy's mom of three along with three grandsons. I hope you hit your 1000 mark soon. Don't forget to use the #threeriverschallenge hashtag to help people find you.
Thank you! 😊
I love this video. We were also raised on meat, potato, vegetable but are now having to cut back on carbs due to diabetes. I also plan meals by the month and find it so much easier than having to figure out each day what to have. We have been stocking out back room with nonperishables for about a year now. We do however have to buy our meat but am considering trying to buy it in bulk. I also do some freezer meal planning and that is a time saver for me using the crockpot more. I also do some dehydrating and canning but not nearly enough. Would love to try some of your favorite recipes and get more ideas from you in general. Thank so much for doing videos that help people.
Is this a challenge where you only use what you have? It sounds like a fun challenge.
It's a challenge to only cook from your pantry with no buying groceries. But you can make up whatever rules you choose. Check out Jessica from three rivers homestead here on TH-cam and on Instagram. She is the one who started the challenge.
I will thank you
Hi friends. I'm joining in the three rivers pantry challenge for the month of January. Drop me a comment below if you are too!!
Very nice pantry! You've been a busy lady canning! I like your idea of reserving peels and cores and things to make jellies. Thanks for a nice video!
Thank you! Yes, busy for sure. I just love knowing that I'm not wasting any precious fruit.
I feel like I need to go to like a group to talk about my seed addiction. I look at some of these seed videos and I realize I'm way more obsessed than a lot of people. Do I have room for all of them......well maybe we shall see.
Maybe we should start a Facebook group for those with seed "collections" 😀
I just ordered a bunch. I'm getting so excited to start gardening again. I just got really into medicinal herbs and flowers this year.
Yay!! It's so exciting having a garden space. I'm really hoping to get into medicinal herbs this year too.
Great video! I love seeing all your seeds ❤ I’m so addicted to seeds! 💯🤷🏽♀️😂
Awe thank you! I'm addicted to seeds too!! 😀
Ordering, organizing my seeds and planning out my garden is what keeps me going through Jan-March while I wait for warmer weather too! 😁 I had no idea Ontario’s zone was different Manitoba 🤯
Oh me too! And starting seeds. Keeps my garden dreams alive during the dreary months. Ontario has many growing zones...all the way from 1b to 7a. 😀
Are ya'lls zones the same (ish) as the US or different?
@@brittanyragon6033 so Canada's growing zones would mostly be colder than the US...but here we still have plenty of time to grow things like tomatoes and watermelon.
If you haven't tried yet to add a little cowboy candy into cream cheese or yogurt it my favorite way to eat it. It is spicy by itself. Great job on your pantry. I'm working on building mine up to not have to buy store bought items. Its so fun and rewarding.
Oh that might be good! Great idea thanks.
That is so beautiful
Thank you.
Great pantry😊
Thank you.
Hey there!
Hey!! 😀
