Hello, My name is Elena! Becoming a TH-camr was never my dream, but my son "My TH-cam manager" was telling me for 2 years that I absolutely have to share my plants and my experience. Yes! Listened to my 9-year-old at that time, and here I am doing just that. Plants make me happy! I have a pretty large collection of houseplants. A little bit of everything, and a lot of Hoyas. I would like to share my experience growing plants with you. If you are interested in any plant care or want a review on a plant that's in my collection, Let me know in the comment section or discussions tab.
Thanks for watching and happy growing!

This 9 Plants Leaving My Home Today
This 9 plants leaving my home today. Since I’m downsizing my plant collection to a manageable size due to my unfortunate plant allergies and also simplify my life a little bit, I have to let some of my plants go. I’m very happy to pass them on to people who will enjoy them and give them care that they deserve. For those people who fill bad for me, please don’t. I’m not sad at all. It actuality feels good when you see how happy it makes people on receiving end.

It's Time to Drastically Downsize My Plant Collection

I decided to drastically downsize my plant collection. As you know about a year and a half ago I developed an allergy to plants and a bunch of other things. I have no choice but to downsize my plant collection. With that said, I’m going to start sharing my plants with you. I opened a plant shop on Etsy and I am very excited to share my hoyas and other plants with you! The plant shop name is Ele...

Are You Sure There Are No Flat Mites On Your Hoyas?
this was very helpful. thank you for sharing!
too too much media
Very cool
I love goldner & walsh!!! I always stop there when I visit my sister!!!
Maybe one day we will see each other there! 😊
❤🌹
Bought one of these plants about six months ago at Walmart in the self watering pot. It’s growing beautifully. Have it in an east facing window, I live in Ohio, I just let the top of the soil dry out a bit (to discourage those pesky little flies) before I refill the reservoir. I’ve had no problems with it at all. It’s so gorgeous and the new leaves are as big as my hand.
Looks like self watering pot is an answer for this plant! I got rid of mine a while ago, but I appreciate you sharing your experience for people here who are struggling with this plant.💚
I was patiently waiting for mine to do the same, and they finally did, without being threatened ! 😅 they already knew how i felt ... i wear my emotions on my face, so they knew !! 😂
Yay, I’m so happy they finally turned pretty for us! It is truly a beautiful plant when it does what it’s supposed to do 😂.
You should take us along with you when you go plant shopping 😊
Honestly, it was such an unplanned shopping trip. Also, I should probably not even buy plants since I’m trying to downsize 😂. I have filmed there before, but they always have music playing pretty loud and I had very hard time uploading that video because of copyright.
All these plants are gorgeous and the pot?!oh ,soooo cute!
OHHH Nice haul!!!
The rhipsalis is very cute 🥰
Excited to see you Elena. That zz is really cute.
❤
Thank you so much for this video 🧡🌱🧡
Oh my gosh, what a BEAUTIFUL specimen !!!! That plant is stunning
I saw a new leaf that emerged a few days ago which came out completely green, and got me freaked out. How long does it take to take the variegated form? Your kerrii collection is amazing.
Don’t freak out, it’s a slow process, but variegation will appear overtime. I can’t tell you exactly how long it takes since I don’t pay too much attention to that but it seems to start showing when leaf is almost mature size.
That's a lot of hoyas
I agree! 😂
I just 9:11 received my first fishbone cactus. I love all my Christmas and Easter cactus. This fishbone cactus reminds me of these cactus. The porch tour was fun. I love your channel ❤️
Thank you for this video, very helpful one year later 😊 question - what are the chances that flat mites will only attack one of the new leaves and leave the other completely intact? Wondering if I have a flat mite issue or if it’s something else.
If there is flat mites, chances are they will spread out throughout entire plant. They do crawl and lay eggs in little cracks of the plant. The only way to really know if your plant have flat mites is to look under microscope otherwise you will not be able to see them. Other signs are scarring on the back of mature foliage, it kind of looks like crusty white patches, and stubby new growth. As plant trying to grow, but then it dies back since flat mites inject poison into the plant that stunts its growth. If that’s the case and if you have flat mites, the good news is once you treat them they will be gone. I still occasionally check my plants under microscope and I haven’t seen any flat mites since I’ve done that treatment😊.
The purple heart plant i have I keep bushy by cutting back several times every season. I'm in zone 6b. I left out in the ground last year and it came back! I did mulch it a bit before winter.
I love the super veiny foliage too!! Also, I just received my latest order from your Etsy shop and they are beautiful as usual. You really do have the best Hoya’s. Thank you !
Thank you so much Janet! 🥰 You got a lot of Hoyas from me and appreciate it so much! I’m so happy to see how much joy my Hoyas brings to people! Enjoy them!💚 Selling season is almost over and I’ll be back soon with a lot of new videos 😊
Hello Elena! Will you be able to do a Hoya Kerrii care, including how to clean the leaves, rid of pests/bugs, propagate, temperature, watering, repotting & anything else we need to know to keep them healthy?
Yes, I can do that 😊
@@ElenasGreenPlanet THANK YOU!!!!😊
So exciting! Beautiful!
😂 Glad she heard ya!! 😘
Beautiful work you did 😊it’s gorgeous leafs
LOL Funny. Good job.
I've noticed that!😅
❤
This is why I can’t get rid of any plant. They all have potential! 😂
Sometimes 😂
So pretty!!
How can you make it bloom?
It’s all comes down to maturity of the plant, lighting and patience.
Do all Hoya blooms
Yes, they all bloom 😊
Do all Hoya bloom .
Yes, they all do! 😊
I love philodendron that’s so beautiful 😍 ❤😊thank you for sharing your plants with us 🫶🏻❤️🌱🪴
Hi Elena, sad to note that you have trashed 2 beautiful mature Hoyas. Next time you have persistent mealy bug infestation, please try the following: Take a large container, like your prop box container, fill it with warm water and add some dish soap, some neem oil and a little rubbing alcohol to the water and soak the entire plant with the pot and soil for 2-3 hours. All pests will definitely die for sure. Thank you
Thank you so much for this information! 💚 I will definitely try this method.
Hi Elena! I do the same with my Purple Heart and have the same pot….put have a different purple plant in the pot! So cool! Your ficus look so great! I love the begonia….I have been on a begonia kick lately….so pretty….love your Plowmanii! Wow looks so nice!….all your philodendron look great! I am surprised the mealy did not get eaten by other bugs outside in the summer…..I put mine outside over the years that get mealy example Hindu rope….and that has been the only way it got rid of them…but I hear you….and yes you can just start over…..they are hard to get rid of and they have been in my home for so many years now from a clearance bamboo I brought home long time ago! Thanks for the tour! We moved at the end of July and have a huge garage…so I put all the outside ones in there the other night and will slowly figure out what ones come upstairs in the house or stay in the basement! Sending love and your pony tail looks so cute! Love tina
Hi Tina! Congrats on the move! That is very exciting. I’m surprised those mealybugs did not get eaten outside either. I guess nobody wants them. Trash always solves that problem or moving to a new house that works too 🤣 💚
Do I detect a slight Russian accent?
Yes, Russian is my first language although I am not from Russia. I was born and raised in Kyrgyzstan. Not a lot of people can put a finger on my accent, I’m impressed that you recognized it right away since it’s not a typical Russian accent 😊
@@ElenasGreenPlanet Thanks :)
I completely understand chucking your affected Hoyas! I had a big 12” wide and it was probably about 18” long carnosa compacta…well, you know she had mealies. And I had grown her from a 4” start-I just kept trimming and starting new vines. I was so proud of her! But the whole pot and all went in the trash. Nope! Bye! 😂😂😂😂😂
I love it! You totally get it! ❤️ It actually feels so good to get rid of something that is just adding stress and work to life. At the end of the day it’s just not worth it. If other ones don’t behave, they will follow this one straight into trash 🤣
@@ElenasGreenPlanet amen!!! I trashed a bunch of stuff this year! I’m like-I’ve spent waaaay too much time on you and for what? This? You’re outta here! 😜😂
Nice haul…enjoy!! 😊
My Xanadu took about three years for the leaves finally started to fenestrate to finger like shapes.
And mine might be leaving my house but you making me want to keep it 😂.
I like these types of videos because I learn name of Hoyas and how they look. Since I’m a new Hoya plant person. So thank you I appreciate u making this video. Plant tour yes please.👍🏻🪴🪴💕💕
Thank you so much! It is so nice to hear it! 💚 I try to put names on the screen since I could never pronounce them correctly. I guess it’s a combination of crazy names and second language here. And welcome to a Hoya world, it’s crazy in here 😂 but they are absolutely amazing!
@@ElenasGreenPlanet I love hoyas yes. I have 5 of them and enjoying them so far.
I am surprised you are not spraying with PureCrop1. I just brought my plants in for the winter and they are all fine but, I spray all of my plants every 7 to 8 days all season. Love your videos and just shopped your Etsy shop.
I love PureCrop1 and I do use it, but on this two Hoyas I have tried everything possible for a long time. They are way too big and those bugs are really doing a good job hiding from me. Sometimes it just not worth it. I’m so happy you are enjoying my videos and thank you so much for purchasing my cuttings! I appreciate it so much! 💚
Are you going to take cuttings and l re- grow it? You could soak each cutting in alcohol and then rinse off and repot.
Nope, not a green one. I’m so sick of dealing with her. Trash is the only place that she’s going.
Yep it’s mealies. The most hated plant pest, in my mind.
They are definitely could be absolutely terrible!
The green carnosa looks like a crinkle 8.
It’s not, it doesn’t have any dimples.
I think you’re right on the philodendron hope, that’s the name.
Is the Purple Heart plant a tradescantia? It looks like one. When I was in Virginia three years ago they grew outside our hotel, in the ground.
Yes it is tradescantia. It is such a common plant, but she does have a beautiful color.
Some plants may not like direct sunlight, because they are shaded by large trees 💚🤞
Some of the plants on my porch definitely not loving the sun, but I had nowhere else to put them.
I fight mealies on my all Hoya constantly! Pretty plants. I’m getting ready to move mine back inside soon.
Oh boy, I hope you’ll get rid of infestation before you bring them in.
Ohhh, I can't wait! 😂
