    I weight 55 kg and can do +35 kg weighted pullups, i tried put a resistent band under and i really feel alot on my abs, i am able to hold it like 30 seks. But the main concern i have is if my shoulders are strong enough and how i train my shoulders as i always felt they are weaker then all my other muscles. Got any tips ?

    • @M_Yaro_
      @M_Yaro_ 2 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      First of all you need rear shoulders strength for the front lever. You don't need crazy shoulders in general so I don't think you need to worry about it too much but a few extra exercises won't hurt. In the context of front lever, doing special exercises like front lever raises will have an impact on your rear shoulders which is enough to do a front lever. Other exercises for the rear delts are: reverse butterflies, face pulls, even things like bent over rows can be good. If you just want to have strong shoulders in general (not for the front lever) then the handstand pushups are great.

  • @VudrokWolf

    This should be common knowledge, in calisthenics to build a skill you set your training in a way that supports the generation of strength for the intended skill progression, so this is just a test to measure the strength gained, I guess not everyone knows this.

    Great video. I think you are correct. Each progression demonstrates a certain level of strength, but they don't necessarily build strength to move onto the next progression. I stopped doing weighted pullups for a while, and trained progressions very seriously, but actually noticed a drop in performance over time. I don't think it's possible to abandon weighted pullups when trying to increase strength for front lever. As manimalzyk said a few years ago, it's a straight power move. Just have to throw in some progressions to get the correct body tension and muscle activation/coordination. The bulk of training needs raw progressive overload with weighted pullups imo.

    What is your opinion about training skills everyday (generelly balance (HSPU, Handstand) and static like front lever for example) ?

    • @M_Yaro_
      @M_Yaro_ 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      So balance skill like handstand is different from front lever or planche. You can and actually should practice handstand almost every day IF your goal is to master handstand and improve further by learning handstand on one for example. HSPU is quite demanding, I would train it a few times a week if it was my main goal. If it's a quick few minute practice you can train FL and planche every day. If it's a whole workout which includes things like front lever raises, planche raises to handstand etc. and general strength exercises like dips, pushups or pullups, then definitely have at least one or two rest days per week. Another important question is how many skills are you trying to learn right now. If you are learning only one at a time (let's say front lever) you have much more room for workouts. You can even train 5-6 times a week(with a well made plan). If you have more of a total body workout where you are training a few skills in one session, then a good option is to have 3-4 of those workouts per week. At the end of the day your body grows stronger while resting and recovering so if you are training a lot, sometimes taking a rest day can be very beneficial.

    So bassicly ur saying its not good enough bcs there isnt enough time under tension, if i did like 20 seperate tucked planche and workout out for 2 solid hours would it then be better, i alsredy do the dumbell exercise with straight arms and planche lean and try it with band assisted but im still too weak...

    • @M_Yaro_
      @M_Yaro_ 21 วันที่ผ่านมา

      So what is your question? If you feel that you are still too weak then train for strength by doing exercises I showed at the end. Other than that your training seems ok. It's good that you are doing straight arm raises, that will definitely help.

    and how to plance or handstand when you have shoulder pain? how to fix shoulder pain? make them stronger and relief the pain, i want to start workout again but i injured my shoulder and they're very easy to injure.

    • @M_Yaro_
      @M_Yaro_ 21 วันที่ผ่านมา

      If you started feeling pain in your shoulder after a specific event then you might want to go to the physiotherapist. Otherwise just slowly improve your range of motion and then build strength in it. Then, once you can train safely and comfortably, try handstand and planche.
