Please upload more informations it was really helpful liked it a lot❤️
Do you know if doing A levels will be required or benefit you in any way?Great vid btw
hey man, Am i allowed to use a calculator in the math exam?
Hello I am a French student and I am in third year of Bachelor Degree in a French Business school also based in London. My dream is to be a pilot and work also live in the Uk or Ireland. Do British Airways sponsors International students ?
Hey mate! Just started sixth form and this is a career i certainly want to enter. I have chosen EPQ and I really want to do something aviation related. Ive done some research on it and seen that the sustainability of aviation etc etc can be quite a good topic as I’m also taking grography so it ties in with that. Have you got any advice or tips you could share?
Hey man. Just to let you know JEREZ is pronounced “HEH-RETH” Good luck!
Are you in the process this year mate?
hiya mate, i'm looking to apply next year. however do not have any A levels as i did music in college before dropping out. would it be worth taking an intensive year at college before applying? or do you believe with enough effort it will be possible in my current position.
Thanks for the vid. Do you have any info regarding the assessment centre - mainly around what you did for the group exercise and ways to prep for the flight test?
Hey man hope you’re well! I’ve got my Skyborne interview coming up soon and was wondering if you had any advice? Like what to expect format wise
I appreciate you my mate 🤜
nice one
Out of interest which training provider did you do the test for on your 1st application?
Which subject can I choose in 9th to 12th that is important for pilot
I’d say key subjects for pilots is English, IT, maths, physics (although this is very difficult to do it if you think you can) and maybe business too an extent to help with analysing data and being good with spreadsheets which goes well with IT. Business is less important then the others mentioned though This is just my opinion I can’t give you a definite answer
Did all the assessments but failed the last one and tbh they are not hard. but very competitive. The questions are just like the questions they ask to become a train driver. This is because the job pay is high, and so its the demand but then so are the number of applicants. Therefore its only the fortunate lucky that actually make it. If its in your destiny then hopefully you will get it.
Can you do a video talking about what to expect on the in person assessment days, after successfully completing the online aptitude tests and the PA announcement?
Working on it! Quite busy atm with my alevel exams though so will take a little while :/
Okay cheers Matt good luck with your exams. Did you get feedback as to why you wasn’t successful?
Have you been told you passed the PA test? I did mine Tuesday and still no response. Not sure if that’s a good or bad thing
@@coolestwilliamsame here no response
@@nicelad3465 when did you do yours?
Thank you man for this video really helped ,can't wait for the interview video:)
Is it okay if I managed to get 88 in my second try in the “Sens of direction” test?
Did you do Skyborne or FTE Jerez assessments?
I'm confused - after completing the PA announcement, the next stage is the assessment day at Waterside. Are you saying that these tests are part of that day? Or are you saying these will be done prior to the assessment day? Or what? There was nothing about aptitude tests, or i should say that i read - there is a maths test on the assessment day Thanks
how are you so good at the sense of direction is it practise or just innate skill
Abit of both! I wasn't very good at it on my first few attempts but it's not too bad when you get the hang of it!
I'd say it's about 25% innate and 75% practise You just need to be able to understand the concept, then you'll be able to improve upon it pretty quickly
I hold a pen while doing it in the orientation of the arrows, then move it and it kinda gives you the idea of what action has been taken
Thank you for the video!! This helps so much to understand the process!! I've got a question to you; could you apply to the Speedbird Pilot Academy more than once if you failed? Like the next year? And is there a limit to the times you can apply to it?
You can apply a maximum of 3 times!
Hey, great videos thank you. I am waiting for response to my PA. Are these the sorts of tests we can expect if we make it through to the assessment day? Should we practice Cut-e or Pilapt? Thanks again😊
I just did the PA test. See you next year because i totally fumbled the first question of the PA test. but hopefully the second question can salvage my horrendous performance on the first question (i legit prepared for it with irl PAs but i could find a way to address the 3 notes i got, only addressed the departing note clearly before i fumbled) .... doesn't help im on vacation right now with no pen and paper for notes when i attempted the test 😅. Overall, i think i failed at the PA test this year, but it was my first attempt and ill try again next year
What was the pa process like?
Mate same for me I melted so hard on the first question - the 5 minutes felt more like 10 seconds and I forgot to cover everything (wtf was happpening on that flight? Disasterous). Second question was so much nicer so I'm banking on that as well. I'm hoping that when they consider your application they take the other tests into account as I'm sure I did well on those. It was hard to prepare as every PA I listened to didn't have an example of a 2hr delay + 30 min delay + APU not working + hot cabin
what were the questions? thank you so much
You are a machine, I've always wanted to see how those who are good at these aptitude tests do it (As a graduate who loathes and has done countless psycho tests). I'm always baffled that people could do them better than me, seems impossible because you don't have any sighted proof of how people are just absolute whizzes at these tests.
Yeah aptitude is a funny thing haha!
Do you have any tips for the checking test? Do you have to complete all 12 qs
Not sure if all questions are required but it is a very difficult test! There are practise website on the BA Powerpoint on their website!
@@OnMyWayFive what do you think the pass rate is
This is where I failed, there’s a few things in there that are there to catch you out, I answered 10 out of 12 I was about to hit next on the 11th before it timed out. I knew at that point I hadn’t done enough but I’m confident I had majority right
My best tip would be don't double check because time management is key
@@callummorgan-jones4272 when did u get the email saying u didn't pass
What would you say is the best way to prepare for group exercises? Excellent video
I have no clue sorry :(
What did you use to train for the attention to detail checking assessment? Thanks for your efforts, wish you the best!
I didnt prepare for this one, just took it when I felt ready! BA have provided a few links to help practise on their guide on the website :)
You should get a spot the difference game on your phone. I do it ofton
Do you have any advice on checking test? I failed last time.
I missed the deadline by one day fuck!!!!
How did you get on with your assessments. I got to question 16 on the maths assessment but my journey ended there.😔
as an Egyptian can i apply next year
Hi! Please do one for the passenger announcement test! Thank you
Agree that would be great
Hi, I have to do my assessment about the SJT, would like to ask where i can practice some question apart from the practice question BA have added to there PPT?
don't worry, sjt is not timed, take your time and answer it well. its hard to proactive for this one because, there is no really a right or wrong answer but they want to see if you god at judging things well. they just want a good competitive pilot with strong good practice
@@ElPhylperfect thank you, I have just done it, just having my fingers crossed right now.
@@Vini773 great, next step between 12 to 24 hours they will reach out to you for the next step which is that math…. Prepare ahead of time, 25 questions in 17 min . Do all you can to pass it. Today is Saturday into Sunday so probably they will reach out on Monday working hours U.K time . Get ready
@@ElPhylperfect, I’ll practice the link they have in the PPT to practice. Also for the test can I use my flight computer?
@@Vini773 am not sure about devices but honestly , scrap paper , calculators , flight computer , anything to get you the answer .. do it. But there is a link on BA pamphlet ( speedbird pilot academy ) material that shows link of the math … use all those IGCSE simple math questions…. The issue is the time not the math . 25 questions in 17 min meaning 40 seconds per question … my greatest advice to you is use all you can to get those answers . Remember if you pass it , congratulations , if you don’t pass it , remember it is the times fault not you. Good luck bro
Do you mind sharing what type of questions are on the math test like the topics etc
And also how to use time effectively within the test
@@moizasbat-lb6xh Converting between different orders of magnitude (cm to m) Converting between metric and imperial or between different currencies (they give you the conversion ratios for these) Speed, distance, time questions (very useful to have the relationship between these three memorised) Ratio and scale questions (just like in the information PDF) Calculations using data from a table (just like in the information PDF) Arithmetic questions using 12-hour time (e.g. whats the time difference between 10:30am and 4:50pm) This list is definitely not exhaustive and only features what I can remember but in terms of using time efficiently - your calculator is your friend. A fair number of questions can be done quite quickly if you can use a calculator well. This frees up time for you to understand more complicated questions. Also take your time reading the question. I found myself trying to read it too fast and having to go over it again to actually understand it which definitely wasted time.
@@giantaxe3958 thank you so much I appreciate the help
Great video, unfortunately I was rejected after the checking test, so not sure if I failed it or if my CV/motivation let me down. How did people find the checking test? Without giving too much away, how did people go about answering the question where all the data was “correct” but spread across multiple rows?
how many days did it take before ba sent you an email about the checking test?
@@stijnnikamp4321 about the outcome for my checking test? I got rejected the next day, which makes me think I failed the test even though I finished it (just) and thought it went ok 🤷🏻♂️
as i'm practising for the CUT E test, i just don't find a trick to perform in the game sense of direction, can you explain it if you have any trick? you seem to perform very well and quck on that assesment. Thanks!
are you working on a pax announcement video? Just cause Im at that stage rn
he already made one but its been removed - not sure why but maybe to do with not wanting to give an unfair advantage. I think its a little different this year anyway as its audio only compared to last years video + audio. The email you got should pretty much explain what it is you have to do anyway
@@bobbobby-og7ix alr thanks, I kind of just wanted to know what kind of info you get in the flight brief for your announcement but thanks for telling me. Good luck if ur applying
@@itzgreen6085 Thanks good luck to you too
@@bobbobby-og7ix Yeah I removed the video because basically everything I mentioned in the video was not relevant to this years PA as they have changed it. I didn't want to give out misleading information!!
@@OnMyWayFive No worries mate this video was extremly helpful to me anyway so thanks - I was surprised how calm you were in the PA video as I was proper nervous for mine (5 minutes to form an answer didn't feel like long enough at all)
Any pointers regarding Maths test?
just be mindful of the time, 40 seconds per question!
@@OnMyWayFive the questions were easy but I ran out of time so that’s me done :(
@@Wonderingtraveler sorry to hear this :( , good luck if you reapply next time!
Do you any tips or trick for the SJT
Not really, just take your time and think about what pilot competencies they are trying to convey.
I didn’t link my question to BA, just the academy, think this will be an issue????
I don't think so, as long as you have displayed a strong passion for aviation and developing your career.
is there a mock test for the maths aptitude one?
I haven't found any myself.
I am a bit late for it now but I will take it into account for next year and start taking some notes now and prepping a little
u arent late you got till 26th wen applications close, but they cud close early, good luck
Thanks for telling us about your experience. Were you allowed to use a calculator for the CUT-E tests?
This is great! More videos would be great please 🙏🏻

How difficult did you find the the Maths test out of interest? I'm starting my SJ test tonight...
@@lousifergames9448 Maths test is 25 questions in 17 minutes…questions are not difficult..tricky as you are limited on time. I managed to finish all questions but don’t know how well I did. But did proceed to the Checking Test.
@@John.Smith98 hi mate! quick question, were you allowed to use a pen and paper for the maths section or only mental maths? cheers and good luck!

Do you know the pass mark ish for the maths test? Or if running out of time is an automatic fail?
Dont worry, you will not automatically fail if you run out of time, but I am unaware of the pass mark :(
I missed one question at the end and passed, so it’s not an 100% pass mark 👍
@nicelad3465 would you mind to share the questions type or source of majority ones
@@ronaldoisbetterr it’s all GCSE level maths, the three on the preparation material run as a theme throughout 👌
Failed my maths test today. The maths itself wasnt difficult at all (in my opinion, but I’m an engineer) but instead it was the time limit. 40 seconds per question is pretty fast, and fair play to those who got through! Definitely some learning points to take into next year
Do you remember till what question you made it?
For my B1 I literally scraped in at the last second with 75% and third attempt. As you said it was the time that was the difficulty.
I failed mine too today! Very handy to know what to expect for next time. Time was also the issue for me.
Sorry to hear this :( Good luck next time if you decide to reapply though!! :)
