I do not agree that Leica should manufacturer lower costs cameras. This would greatly diminish the lure and lustre of owning a Leica. Once Leica starts to produce more budget conscious cameras, it's status will drop down to the level of other basic brands and thus owning a Leica won't be as special anymore considering the average school mother could be taking photos of their childs sports and school events with a cheap Leica. Do not go down that path Leica as I will not support the brand any further and you will lose many followers that admire your brand for its style, heritage and prestige.
